He is actually better at right wing, but he is only turning 7 so they switch around abit. They are just getting used to off sides, and playing with referees. Last year it was a free for all for them! :67302:
It's great fun though, and I didn't realize how much I missed going to the rink until he started hockey. :)

Anyone remember when they tried the little light following the puck on TV? Boy, that was annoying, imo. :0doh:

Was that on Fox? Right after the strike... so people who couldn't follow it or knew the rules could enjoy the game.

I will always remember the "Miracle on Ice" in 1980 when the American team beat the Soviet Union for the gold. What a memory. The Carolina Hurricanes victory for Stanley Cup was a good one too. Rod Brind'Amour's tears and that goalie. I forgot his name, but he was great. I love all sports, but don't watch much hockey. Will try to watch more, so I can keep up with you posters

That game was so exciting, like edge-of-your-seat, kinda stuff. There's not going to be any banning or suspension of Brown who "cleanly" knocked Hudler down which caused him to need 8 stitches above his left eye. I was shocked to see him back on the ice after that kind of injury. The Redwings are tough!
Are you ready for the 2nd game today in about 3 hours (I'm not....LOL)? I just want my sweet Teemu Selanne to make another goal (swooooooon). Anyway, I'll be there watching every second of the game. Got all my Nerf toys to throw at the telly and my liquid tranquilizers are ready and waiting (hehe).

I thought the first game was edge-of-the-seat...but Sunday's game was spectacular. I was in front of my Ducks' shrine praying to the hockey Goddesses for the winning goal in that 3rd overtime.
I was out there making every play with my Ducks. I can't believe the stamina those guys have. I was short of breath and breathing hard just watching them.
Remember when your Redwings had 6 overtimes. I bet those guys were totally exhausted. Oh wait....that was in 1936...you were just a little kid then...right, Kamster? :girl_haha:

Another power play coming up for the redwings. Ho hum...don't you dare give this game to them with your penalties, DUCKS. OMG...I can't watch! The anxiety is killing me.
Redwings' power play is over with 2 1/2 minutes left in regulation play. There's still plenty of time for the redwings to tie this game up. One minute and 40 seconds left. One minute 20 seconds left with an icing call. GRRRRRRRRRRR!
Timeout...Ducks! Redwings put the puck in but the ref blew the whistle. NO GOAL! Holy cow Batman...that would have tied the score up. I bet the redwings are really p.o'd. OMG...this is the longest minute and 4 seconds in history.
Twenty seconds left in the last period. Eleven seconds to go! Ooooops...clock rest to 12.4 seconds. Every second counts. The redwings can still score and tie this game up.

With just over 2 minutes left in regulation play...the redwings score on a power play. DUH...am I surprised...NO!

My Ducks just can't stop making penalties...thus giving the redwings POWER PLAYS.

GAME OVER....big fight. HUGE!! There will be no 1st period in Game #7 because all the players will be in the Sin Bin with major fighting penalties. (HAAAAAAAAAAA).

You're probably right. Detroit is loaded. Any line can score. They can all play D. They play one of the most disciplined styles I have ever seen. They remind me a whole lot of the Russian Red Army teams of the 70's and 80's. I am envious of that whole organization, which is why I hate them.

Getzlaf picks up his 2nd questionable penalty giving the redwings yet another power play. This time they score. I'm not going to talk about the 5 on 3 that my Ducks failed to score on.

Wow...what a fantastic break-away shot/goal by Helm. Ho hum...I've just about resigned myself to the fact that the redwings are not going to disappoint their fans and lose this final game at home. I'm still very proud of my Ducks...especially Hiller. :biggrin:
Another power play for redwings. A delay of game penalty to my Ducks giving the redwings a 5 on 3 advantage for a second or two (hehe). More penalties coming up. High sticking on Hossa. The refs are really going nuts with the penalty calls. It's currently 4 on 4.
Okay...that's it mild, meek, "RESERVED" redwings...knocking my Selanne to the ice. Selanne goes to the dressing room as a result of that last hit. The game is now 4 on 3 for my Ducks (without Selanne). NO SCORE FOR MY DUCKS! :lex_10:

Game tied 3-3! Power play for redwings. You know better then that Selanne (holding). I can't stand my Ducks getting penalties right after they score. This feels so much like de ja vu. Score is tied in the 3rd...will the redwings get the go-ahead-goal or will they go into overtime??? OMG...my head!
