WOW...that is a great sketch. It almost looks like a photo. Someone will have to recognize him.

It does look like a photo. Some really nasty comments in the forum.
The gentleman who is currently unidentified, [is a] male subject, [and] appears to me to be Hispanic, died from a single stab wound to the chest," Kohr said.

Illinois police ID body found Jan. 25 in trash bin
Staff report
The Tribune-Star
Marshall, Ill. — After more than a month of investigating, authorities have now identified the body of a man discovered in an apartment complex trash receptacle in Marshall, Ill.
Illinois State Police announced Friday that family members and forensic investigators have determined the victim to be Leon Remigio-Becerril, 26, of Indianapolis.
According to a media release from state police, the Mexican Consulate in Indianapolis contacted the police agency Thursday after family members said Remigio-Becerril had been missing for several weeks.
An artist’s sketch of the victim proved close enough that fingerprint analysis and family identification was undertaken and verified Friday.
Illinois State Police Zone 7 has been in contact with Indiana law enforcement authorities and is working with them on the homicide investigation, the release stated.
The initial investigation began January 25, around 9:45 a.m. when the Marshall Police Department received a report that a body was discovered in a trash receptacle in the 200 block of Walnut Street, outside the Cherry Street Apartments.
Over the following weeks, the ISP Zone 7 in Effingham released an artist’s sketch of the victim to hundreds of law enforcement agencies, the Mexican Consulate in Indianapolis and various media outlets in Illinois, Missouri and Indiana in an attempt to identify the victim.
People with more information on the case are encouraged to contact the Illinois State Police Investigations department at (217) 347-2711.

Crime scene linked to body found in Marshall
Staff report
The Tribune-Star
MARSHALL, ILL. — Evidence of a crime in the home of Leon Remigio-Becerril has Illinois and Indianapolis law enforcement agencies working together.
The body of Remigio-Becerril, 26, Indianapolis, was found in a trash receptacle behind Cherry Street Apartments in Marshall, Ill., around 9:45 a.m. Jan. 25.
The Illinois State Police Zone 7 in Effingham released an artist’s sketch of the man to law enforcement agencies throughout the Midwest as well as the Mexican Consulate in Indianapolis.
The Mexican Consulate contacted the Illinois State Police on Feb. 28 after family members of a missing man said the artist’s sketch looked like their brother.
Positive identification was made the next day through the family as well as fingerprint comparisons.
According to a media release from the ISP, on March 3 and 5, investigators from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department assisted in the execution of a search warrant at the Indianapolis residence of Remigio-Becerril, where evidence of a crime was found.
ISP officials have been investigating the death as a homicide since January.
Evidence found at the crime scene was collected by the IPD’s Crime Scene Unit for further laboratory testing and examination.
A spokesman for the IPD confirmed they are assisting in the case.
“Indianapolis police are investigating leads on this end here,” he said.
