The process aims to create healthy embryos for couples to avoid passing on genes carrying diseases. That would be a great thing? However, will we see come country in the near future try to perfect the process for their own use and create the perfect race?
Science is wonderful, but when in the wrong hands can cause disasters. JMHO

What about the role DNA plays in solving crimes too? This seems like it screw up a lot of things and make people like drones.

It wouldn't make any difference in the way dna is used to identify because the combined dna is still unique. What it would make more difficult is identifying the family line or parents of the subject.
It wouldn't make "people like drones", but it might create a new type of bias where a sector of the population might treat them with less respect. It may also open the door to the possibility of creating a more physically and mentally flawless human being.

Good question. It could be very scary!
It may even lead to people "ordering" traits for their children. That's scary too!
