I use to love the Bears when I was younger. Jim McMahon... Mmmmm LOL
I still have a tape of the Super Bowl Shuffle they sang in the 80's.

I really only watch the Packers now but every drill weekend I have to have football on the tv and know all the scores for the guys.

Hiya Toby

I lost all respect that I ever had for DA BEARS when they didn't give payton every opportunity to score a TD in the Super Bowl when they were 1st and Goal at the 2 or 3 yard line.

So, will the Pats go undefeated this season or what?
I really want them to demolish those Jets and give their rat coach a lesson he will never forget!!!
Hope the big storm won't affect Brady's quest for the all time TD passing record, (49)...needs four to tie Manning and five to pass him.

So, will the Pats go undefeated this season or what?
I really want them to demolish those Jets and give their rat coach a lesson he will never forget!!!
Hope the big storm won't affect Brady's quest for the all time TD passing record, (49)...needs four to tie Manning and five to pass him.

Why the hostility towards Mangini? All he did was point out the Patriots* are a bunch of cheaters and cast doubt on the validity of all the victories that occured during Bellichecks tenure. Heck if the head coach for my team was found to be cheating I'd want him tossed out on his ear.

Ahem Wnyguy in case you hadn't noticed Patriots are 13-0 and how do you account for that. We love belichick. Now as far as the Jets go whats their excuse when they were caught videoing signals last year and they were just asked to stop. BTW remember where Mangini came from in the first place.

Oh I know that Mangini was involved in that cheating escapade while being a member of the Patriots* coaching staff. However after the league warned every team that video taping signals was cheating, well The Patriots* just kept on doing it. Mangini saw that they were still involved in this rule breaking activity and blew the whistle on it.

I suspect that the Patriots* will be fully charged and ready to go this week and will probably beat the hapless Jets by 60 points.

What passing TD record are you talking about? Favre has 438. Or do you mean in one season?

Career Touchdown Passes
1) Brett Favre 438 -- --
2) Dan Marino 420 -- --
3) Fran Tarkenton 342 -- --
4) Peyton Manning 302 -- --
5) John Elway 300 -- --

We have to pay extra on the cable bill for NFL TV. Direct TV has it in the package. I "watch" the games on NFL.com. They have a football field and arrows that show each play with a short discription of what happens. Not like watching a real game but I can sort of keep up.

HISTORIC MOMENT FOR SPURLOCK

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Michael Spurlock returned a kick-off for a touchdown for the first time in franchise history on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.

Spurlock's 90-yard return with 6:19 remaining in the first quarter broke a stretch of 1,865 kick-off returns without a touchdown, spanning the Buccaneers' 31-year history in the NFL.

Tampa Bay had returned five kick-offs for touchdowns during pre-season games since 1976, but never had brought one back in a regular-season game until Spurlock's return.

SLAIN REDSKIN TAYLOR VOTED INTO PRO BOWL (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22315527/)

NEW YORK - Sean Taylor was voted to the NFC Pro Bowl team posthumously on Tuesday, three weeks after after he was shot during a burglary at his Florida home.

The Washington Redskins defensive back got a starting position on the team at free safety. He was having an outstanding season and was among the leaders in fan balloting for a team selected by a combination of fans, players and coaches.

Both conferences were dominated by players from the teams at the top of the standings. Seven teams had no Pro Bowlers, including Jacksonville (10-4) and all four in the NFC South, for the game to be played Feb. 10 in Honolulu.

Unbeaten New England had eight players voted to the AFC team, led by quarterback Tom Brady and wide receiver Randy Moss. New England linebacker Mike Vrabel made the Pro Bowl for the first time in his 11th season.

Dallas, tied for first place with Green Bay in the NFC, had 11, including quarterback Tony Romo and wide receiver Terrell Owens. Dallas dominated the fan voting, one major reason it had so many players on the squad.

One of the Cowboys, running back Marion Barber, is not a starter for Dallas although he leads the team with 871 yards rushing. That’s 315 more than starter Julius Jones, but is just seventh in the NFC. But Barber has 11 touchdowns.

The Packers had four players on the team, including Brett Favre, who will start at quarterback for the NFC. It is the ninth Pro Bowl for the 38-year-old Favre, his first since 2003.

San Diego, like New England, had eight players chosen. Minnesota was second in the NFC with seven, including rookie Adrian Peterson, who leads the conference in rushing.

Taylor is the only player known to have made an all-star team posthumously in any sport since goaltender Pelle Lindbergh made the NHL All-Star game in February 1986. He had been killed in an auto accident in November, 1985 after playing eight games for the Philadelphia Flyers, for whom he had won the Vezina Trophy as the league’s best goalie the previous season.

Before his death, Taylor was leading the NFL in interceptions with five.

Famous last words - LET THE GAMES BEGIN! :zm10:

Donkeys don't play til Xmas Eve, to make it worse it's against the Chargers! At least tho, it gives me a reason not to visit with the inlaws!

Dang, I hate quoting myself, but I should have been more specific and said "not to visit with my MIL"! hee-hee I absolutely love(d) my FIL, (step FIL that is, has been father to my hubby since '67) passed away last Sunday nite (12-16). We got the call about 11:30 that nite when they were tranporting him to the hospital. Didn't make it. Anyhoo, if'n I don't see ya'all before XMas, please have a MERRY one and take care of each other for me! :1222423: Ya'all know how to get ahold of me if need be!

Hey, gramv!

BRADY NAMED AP MALE ATHLETE OF THE YEAR (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/7592514?MSNHPHMA)

Updated: December 21, 2007, 2:14 PM EST
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) - Tom Brady arrives at Gillette Stadium before the sun comes up.

As always, there is work to be done, and no time to waste.

Yes, he is the superstar quarterback with the golden arm and the sharp football mind. Yes, he is in position to break Peyton Manning's single season record of 49 touchdown passes. And yes, he is the main reason the New England Patriots are challenging the 1972 Miami Dolphins' status as the only team to go undefeated for an entire Super Bowl season.

This, however, is what teammates see and respect:

"When you see him here at 6:15 in the morning, lifting weights, watching film and working out, I think that's not a sign of a guy that's getting a big head," safety Rodney Harrison said.

And that is why Brady was both flattered at being selected The Associated Press Male Athlete of the Year, and determined to spread the honor around.

"I play in a team sport," Brady said. "Everybody I play with is responsible for what each of us accomplishes as individuals and for what we all accomplish as a team."

Brady received 51 votes from members of The AP, 18 more than runner-up Roger Federer, who won his fifth straight Wimbledon and fourth straight U.S. Open tennis tournament in 2007. They were followed by Tiger Woods, Manning, Barry Bonds and Josh Beckett.

Good morning Sweetie! Just got hubby to take every one "out" to lunch, so I can have "my space" for a 'lil bit. It's diffult to have everyone around where you're not use to it, if you know what I mean! Anyhoo, watching GB and Chicago, and trying to get some Xmas gifts wrapped before they all get back. I told him to keep them for a few hours (hee-hee) I'll have a couple of these :zm10: while they're gone and be just as good as new! PS: You're welcome! Ain't she purdy? I think I already told you this, but, DANG I miss her! :love0085:

Glad you get to see the game I wanted to! At least the JAGUARS are beating the RAIDERS however...

Got some presents wrapped also but can't put them under the tree yet...my nine month old furry child would have them unwrapped.
