Two years ago, my son's school bus driver had a massive heart attack while driving the school bus. My son only took the bus several years ago when I had surgery, and could not drive for 6-8 weeks, but still, I asked this lady to take care of my son since he wasn't used to the bus, and she was nice.

When I heard about the heart attack from my son, I learned of where she lived and went to many parents asking for Christmas gift donations and delivered the gifts to the bus driver's daughter. I gave up gifts that i
had received from my workplace, as did hubby, and son contributed with money saved.

I just dropped my son off at his friend's house, and the friend's mother drives the kids to middle school. She was waiting outside the apartment building and asked my son to hurry up inside......"it's cold out," she said.

She then met me by my car and said, "here. This is a gift for you son. It's a cell phone with $40.00 of pre-paid minutes."

My mom used to tell me that God takes care of the givers in this world. The ones who don't expect anything in return. I just witnessed this today. :1222423:

With five sons and usually an extra kid living in our home (they are grown now), I remember a kind man that would call our home every Christmas Eve and ask that my sons come to pick up food left over from a party he attended. My sons would go and load up the car filled with foods...appetizers, cheeses, meats, breads, cookies, salads, fruits, trays and trays full. Truly, I had never seen anything like it. How very grateful to be given such a gift! I don't know why I was choosen to be given it but I hope the family he choose after us enjoyed it as much.

That is really sweet. Thanks so much for sharing. It's nice to read stories of people looking after each other, especially during this time.

Yep...when you give from the heart, it always comes back to you in some way. Thanks for sharing, Rockford.

I think this just shocked the baloney outta me because I never expected it. I sure hope that this is what people feel when others go out of their way for them.

What a great feeling. She left me speechless, and with the amount of posts I have on this board, you all know that happens to me, few and far between. :yes2:

What a sweet story. Every year at work we pick a deserving family and anonymously contribute to the household.

gifts, food, clothes, coats, toys, and gift certificates to restaurants.
