'Jaws' actor Scheider dies at 75

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Roy Scheider, the actor best known for his role as a police chief in the blockbuster movie "Jaws," has died. He was 75.

Scheider died Sunday at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences hospital in Little Rock, hospital spokesman David Robinson said. The hospital did not release his cause of death.

Aw - I just heard about his death on Fox. They said he died from staph infection complications.

Wow! I didn't think he was that old, but I'm not that young anymore.

Staph infections are becoming too common in hospitals lately.

RIP Roy Scheider, you played a major role in one of the the best movies of all time. You played the role perfectly, and none of us can hope for better in our life then to at least once do as well as is humanly possible in our vocation. You did that in Jaws none of us can hope for better.
