I think she was still on the stand when they recessed for the day Friday. I had stuff here to take care of and mostly just listened to testimony instead of watching but I did see her on the stand a couple times and she appeared to be 'angry' with Julie. I got that hmmm feeling when she talked about the bathroom and the poop event.

Watching my TiVo'd GASLIGHT which I had seen years and years ago and forgotten the specifics.

It's really scary how easy it is to take a vulnerable person and undermine her. Like the waves carry the sand out from under your feet when you stand on the shore and before you know it, they are buried deep.

I just did for you, Iffy! It's a freaky ice storm; thunderice. Mister Sister doesn't know what to do with herself.

I went to move my car into the garage and it was already iced over; nearly fell on my butt just trying to open the door.

*sigh* They have cancelled all local schools already so I won't be going to work tonight---or probably to my Murder class.

I hope we don't lose power. But P.A. said between here and the Big City there were already lots of places without power. WAHHHHHHHH!

I watched that... it was heartbreaking! Charla had a beautiful voice, and the lyrics to that song!!!

Watching that and Darren's response, his chest was heaving. I thought he might actually breakdown. Then he looked up and wiped his face, but there was no evidence that tears were actually there, so I felt he was just playing to the moment so the judge might think he was being remorseful to some degree. Yeah right! He was so about himself! Listening to the song was heartbreaking and the mom made it through amazes me. Just thinking of Charla's throat being slit, and since that time the mom has had trouble breathing. Unbelievable! So very, very sad!

I joined Netflix and my first pick was Gaslight since everyone is watching it. I guess there were two movies called Gaslight, one earlier than the one with Ingrid Bergman. Hope it comes soon so I can discuss it with everyone. :basic44:

I posted this last night and just thought I'd restate it as it was late and most people were already signing off.

I have a thought as to why Friday's video of Laura's testimony has not been added to youtube. Considering the fact that both David and the cousin are still in high school, it seems that it would be in the best interest of those boys to keep the "family stories" off the internet. Sure some of us get to see the trial in real time, but on youtube the stories would be played over and over again, and no doubt would have been all over their school by early Monday a.m. jmoo

It's just sickening how the apparent acts of MJ are reaching so far this many years after JJ's murder. The murder act itself would certainly forever impact many, but all these other stories that have come out as a result are just horrid.

eta: and yes, I know the other stories are still there. I'm only offering opinion as to the importance of the story Laura told not being added.

At least we're home and safe inside. DH is a great survivor and outdoorsman---last year he was in California when our big storm hit (and my cat was sick and I couldn't get him to the vet).

Yes, he should have sent her to a specialist if her depression was serious. If he saw fit as a family practitioner to treat her, that sounds like it was situational depression. Depression brought on my an situation or event in someone's life.

Giving the Ambien scrip to MJ is not good. He should never prescribe a sleeping aid to anyone other than the patient. Did he prescribe the Ambien to MJ for JJ, or did JJ lie about it?

Exactly!! You don't put a person who is having suicidal thoughts on Ambien either, because that med can strengthen the suicidal thoughts... that is one of its side effects IIRC. Any doc worth his grain would advise the patient seek assistance from a therapist.

Weight dropped to 115 in 2 1/2 months.

Have to say... diarrhea, depression, history of reyauds and rosacea, possible B12 deficiency.... these could all be symptoms of celiac disease/GS. A son with tics would fit this, too. Diarrhea is the probable cause of 8 lb. weight loss~ I'd also look at side effects of her drugs. Sorry... this is my other forum.
