My son, is a 'budding chef' LOL...he enjoys making fun foods for the family, here are a few ideas for your kiddles, that the LOVE to help with:

Get the Grands Biscuits, flatten them out, and mold them in Pam sprayed muffin cups, you can fill them with:

Seasoned ground beef, (taco) sprinkle with cheese

"Taco cups"

Garnishes include:

chopped olives, tomatoes, lettuce, salsa, sour cream, etc.

BBQ beef..creates:

"Barbie cups"

Broccoli, Cheese, and diced (cooked) chicken breast...creates:

"Cheesy chicken/veggie cups'

The ideas are endless, and they are fun, easy clean up, and kids get a 'kick' out of being able to 'create' a 'dinner' for the family...This is great for kids parties and sleep overs as well.

Here's one that is also fun:

(no I do not work for pilsbury)

Get the cresent rolls, peel them open, sprinkle some shredded cheese, and place hot dog in...roll, and bake..

cresent rolls also make yummy deserts:

peel them open, spoon in a bit of pie filling, or chocolate chips (sprinkle) roll into cresent, bake, then either drizzle with glaze or sprinkle with powdered sugar.

You know about those pre cut cookies or cookie roll dough?

mold that into muffin cups and bake, allow to cool...then fill with ice cream, and sprinkles or drizzle toppings of choice...

Fun stuff...kiddles love it!!!!

Tracian, a wonderful idea! Next time I visit my nieces we try it! I used to make something like this for my sons...for breakfast. Some wanted the egg scrambled and some just cooked whole. I would add cheese on top and bake. The boys always thought it was special. I think at one time they sold a product called "baskets" in the dough...I think it is how I found the idea.

Whenever my son had a slumber party, I always made personalized pancakes for the boys - they loved them!!

If you have a large electric griddle, you can make animals or their initials. But do it backwards, cuz when you flip the pancake, the "good side" will be facing up.

The boys thought I was a genius. :girl_haha:

When my children were little, I made mac and cheese soup. I made boxed mac & cheese then added a can or two of cheese soup with milk. Sometimes I added sliced hotdogs. Oh, "organic only" mothers shouldn't read this! This is totally non organic! Of course, we didn't eat it every night, just once in a while. Another big thing around "these parts" is ranch dressing on pizza. It gave my dietician friend the shudders when she heard that one!
