Heather Mills getting $108M in divorce settlement?
Agreement includes strict confidentiality agreement, Daily Mail reports
Quotes from article:
Mills, who represented herself during the divorce, will reportedly receive a lump sum of $40 million up front, with another $5 million a year until their four-year-old daughter Beatrice turns 18.
The Mills and McCartney settlement also reportedly establishes a $2 million trust fund for their four-year-old daughter, which will gain interest until she turns 18.
-------
Originally, she had demanded $160 million. Regardless, the man is lucky to be rid of her. Sadly, their child will probably have to listen to Mama complain about Daddy for the rest of her life. I believe HM will complain to her kid and anyone who will listen to her or can't escape her presence because she was so melodramic publically instead of showing taste by being silent. In fact, if she had kept her mouth shut and not tried to play the divorce out in public, she possbibly might have gotten more in her settlement! IMO

If Paul M did not want to one day share his fortune, he should have thought about the possibility of divorce before he married. They do have a child together! I do not like Heather Mills and I do not even know why. She just rubs me the wrong way. The 108 million :thud2:is pocket change to him.
With a little luck, he will survive. MOO

I agree there should have been a pre-nup, but IMO he was still grieving over Linda and just didn't do it.
I don't like Heather Mills, either. When she was on DWTS I was really glad when she got voted off. Not because of PM, because I was never a big Beatles fan. I just don't like her attitude.
Heather Mills is a twisted freakazoid. Now she is a very wealthy one.

Heather Mills didn't understand when she married Paul it wouldn't all be about her. Paul is lucky to be rid of her regardless of the cost. Good luck to Beatrice - with Heather for a mother she's going to need it.

Heather's checklist for a new mate:

"Heather does not want some gold-digger after his piece of her settlement," the friend said."
Why not - isn't that what she is?

I've never liked Heather Mills either and like many of you I have no reason why....lol Maybe it's because I loved the relationship that Paul and Linda had, they were magic together.

Well now maybe Heathen will pay her attorneys that dropped her cause she wasn't paying them.
I'll try to find the article but I read where she is in debt MILLIONS of dollars.
She's going to blow through this money in a heartbeat. She'll be finding another rich husband pretty soon.

When she was on DWTS, her occupation was listed as something like charitable fund raiser. I thought huh??? More like gold digger. :girl_haha:

A new hubby will make sure there is a pre-nup especially if he knows about all the chit she dished out in the divorce with Paul.

I just saw this also, so does this mean she filed an appeal on the amount of money that was offered? I really don't need more things to get me confused.

Snipped:
Nicholas Mostyn, who has been representing the former Beatle, confirmed as he left court that the judge had reserved his ruling.
This means rumors the couple had reached a settlement over the weekend were unfounded.
***
The judgment will be binding on the pair, but could be challenged at the Court of Appeal if one side is unhappy.
But that would entail a dramatic change — no longer would the accusations from both sides be kept secret behind closed doors.
Sir Paul is anxious to keep the details of his four-year marriage to Mills, who lost part of her leg in a road accident, out of the public domain.
But she has no such qualms — and is reported to be planning a book on the subject which has the potential to earn her millions worldwide.

Paul should just write his own tell-all book......get it out there before she does and take the potential to earn $$$$ away from her.
Other than child abuse/porn I'm willing to forgive him most anything. :71526:

I thought the big issue for Heather was the confidentiality agreement. She doesn't want one. She wants to be able to talk about Paul and the marriage and the divorce for years to come.

From concerto's post:

That's why I said he should write his own book. Tell us - we can handle it, we know he isn't perfect.

That quote makes it sound like Paul is worried about Heather revealing something considered scandalous or taboo about Paul. I think he just wants his privacy and wants to move on without having to see Heather in the press every few months, selling another story about Paul, or promoting a book that makes her look like a poor victim and Paul look like a ruthless villain.
I doubt there's anything for him to tell, except that he was taken in by a con artist who revealed her true colors only after they were married. They have a child together and he wants to shield that child.

There were rumors that Paul's and Linda's marriage was not "perfect" and supposedly at one time one of Linda's partners/collaborators had some of Linda's tape which indicated that she was not always happy......supposedly someone tried to sell these tapes..... thoughts were at one time that Heather had access to the tapes....yada, yada
Like I said, I don't really care. I don't think anything he has done will erase the years of enjoyment he has given the world.

With me, it's her attitude, Ross. And maybe no one agrees with me, but I thought she only went on DWTS to promote her image, since she was causing so much trouble in the press. To me, it just didn't work.
Yes, she has a disability. But so do a lot of other people. I think she used it to her advantage on that show.
Just MOO.

I agree. She also went on British TV whining that the divorce was too much, the Brits hated her, Paul was mean and she had thought of committing suicide. The tape of the British TV interview was provided worldwide.
I just heard no agreement and the Judge will now decide the settlement. It will be based on Sir Paul's income only while married to Ms. Golddigger. Actually if they divorced in the U.S., thats how the settlement would be based - "during the time of the marriage and not before the marrriage."
BTW: several publishers are rumored to be talking to Ms Mill about a book on her marriage to Sir Paul. She'll make tons of money on that alone ......unless the judge rules the settlement be sealed which might mean she will have to write a book about something else.

She has a tacky past, she behaves tacky now and she will behave in a tacky way in the future.
IMO, she only went on DWTS to promote herself. She was getting bad press and she thought she could change everyone's mind about her by dancing on a television program. It didn't work.

Bah hahahahahaha you are right. Some man may just marry her to take her for a ride like she did Paul. That money will be gone really quick.
This may sound ugly but she is the type of person I'd want to rush home and take a bath after being in her company. That is not nice of me to say but she is the type of woman I would NEVER want to be.
Good luck to little Beatrice.

No-show Paul ditches 55m peace deal at 11th hour
Paul McCartney attempted to pull off a high-risk legal stunt yesterday by abandoning a record £55million divorce deal just hours before it was due to be signed in the High Court.
The turn-around came late on Sunday evening after Fiona Shackleton and Nicholas Mostyn QC - Sir Paul's legal team - advised him he could save millions by letting High Court judge Mr Justice Bennett decide on a payout for Heather Mills.
The pair had yesterday been due to sign the consensual deal in the Royal Courts of Justice which would have seen Miss Mills take a £20million settlement and £2.5million a year for the next 14 years.

When they first got married didn't she say she couldn't have children and then before you knew it she was pregnant? I think alot of these women who are in it for the money get pregnant as soon as possible because that equals more money and they always have that bargaining tool. So sad for the kids but I honestly think this is what so many of them do.
