Don't you just hate it when you come out of the bathroom and find your dog with her ears down and looking at you like "I really didn't mean it" "I'm really sorry"

And - you can't find anything?

Don't worry - you'll step on it and probably in the middle of the night, in the dark.

At least, that's when I usually find the dogs' handiwork.

And - you can't find anything?I usually find it in the far corner of the back yard. And in the middle. And around the side of the house.

I wish you could hear my son when he's done that.....in bare feet. :faintTHUD::doh::grin:

Yep - and if you're really lucky, you'll be wearing socks, not going barefoot. :67302:

Awww... your pup puked and then tried cleaning it with a paper towel for you

:67302::67302: If it weren't for not having thumbs your pup probably would have cleaned it all up

You get a warning with dogs.. or your dog is more considerate.

In a feline house, it is always a SURPRISE.
Besides barf, which is most common, we have to deal with mouse livers.
Our youngest cat doesn't like them, so she leaves them for us to step on.

The yuk factor is extreme! :duh:

My daughter's cats do the same thing, Topaz. She's always finding some little morsel they've saved to show mommy.

Your first post about the dog waiting outside the bathroom door reminded me of an old joke.

Do you know why your dog tries to follow you into the bathroom?

He's afraid you have an escape door in there and he won't know where you went.

maybe they think you just went potty in the house, and are commiserating on the "outside" you are about to get?

LOL.... This summer on vacation she was catching RABBITS (young ones)
So she left steaming piles of entrails on the mat outside the front door.
For some reason she "knows" I can't handle that inside. You can't imagine how much intestine is in a little rabbit!

I often wonder why cats get so upset by doors. They hate to be locked out.
This happens mostly in the bathroom (where the litter box is).
Gotta go in.... no...gotta go out.

We just adopted a beautiful Lab/Pointer mis. When I can, I will post a pic.

This is, of course, at a time when our Dobe passed and the only pet in the house is a tiny housebroken terrier mix - she's actually less like a dog than she is like a cat.

Back to the Lab, I am having a fun time learning about Labs. And aren't they great? Last night she woke me up by puking all over her crate - must have been one of the numerous plastic items she injested during the day, lol.

I've actually had to baby-proof the house.

But she's great fun.

I never find any pet puke because my dog does clean it up.

If you can't figure it out, don't ask.

Mine do that too (usually). If the cat doesn't get to it the dog will. Sicks me out!

Oh, a new fur baby! Can't wait to see pictures. They're fun, but a real handful at first, until they get used to everything new, aren't they?

can we even talk about bad dogs?????? my first dog is now about 12. last couple weeks, he's been very lethargic, sleeping all the time etc. i take him to the vets, he's got a thyroid condition, get him meds everything is fine. yesterday, i'm trying to do an adoption, he keeps opening the doors to let the other dogs into the room, barking & when the doors are blocked by chairs, he OPENED the trash masher & tore into all the trash. i've never seen him so bad. i guess the meds are working & i'm about ready to kill him.

:girl_haha:I know. It's so funny. But poor maryhaze.

Actually, I find this thread to be disgusting...disgustingly cute to us dog people. I have five dogs. Four of them eat to live, but Sofia lives to eat. Sometimes she eats too fast, I guess, and throws up. It's usually where I can find it, but sometimes she does it in the laundry that's about to be washed, and I don't find it until laundry day...what a gift! :puke:

yes, my goofy Lucy. Black, glossy pointer body with floppy pointer ears, square Lab head - and absolutely LOVES life.

Dogs bring you back to what it's all about, don't they?

Aren't you a good mommy, tho! Making sure he gets his thyroid meds, so he can feel perky again. :67302:

My new mini-doxies are mousers. When the weather turns cold every year we have a problem with the field mice looking for a warm place to winter. So far the doxies have "found" two. I HATE mice. The idea of having to touch one makes me physically ill. (O/T -- why do we say "physically ill" ? What other kind of "ill" is there?--) However, since I have D-Con out for the mice, I'm afraid to let the doxies "play" with one. The first one they presented me with was clearly dead. It took a pair of disposable rubber/plastic gloves and almost a half roll of paper towels for me to pick it up and put it in the trash.

The last one the "found" was still alive. I "captured" it under a plastic bowl. When I let go, the bowl moved so I put a brick on the bowl and waited for DH to come home and dispose of it. {{shudder}}
