I'm here and prepared for the worst: the jury to come out and say they are hung.
Have they discussed their dinner menu yet? Do we have that much to look forward to?

I left for a little while what are we doing with this info??
This is a trial coming up we are hoping they will cover LIVE. If enough of us let them know there is an interest, maybe that will swing it.
I'm not sure where the info should go as I don't think there is a forum yet for that trial? But thanks to K.D. for digging up the info.
So... this vote thing... HAS to be unanimous either way... or we have a hung jury. He can't be NG unless 12 people agree? Once I realized that I felt a whole lot better. And the judge did say... if a mistrial happens... there is no way he's lowering bail...so MJ WILL sit in jail.
I'm pretty confident it will be guilty. I just can't imagine where they could find doubt. I might be able to find doubt in a few details, but not in the big picture. I sure hope the jury will talk when they're done. I want to know what goes on in people's minds. I guess... we KNOW some people can be unreasonable. I can think of a few I've recently met [ELSEWHERE} that I wouldn't want to sit on a jury with.

correct all the way down the line. I can think of 3 big cases (Menendez Bros, Betty Broderick and Rabbi Neulander) that hung the first time but went G the second.
Sometimes it just happens. but I do NOT see an acquittal. And I think Mark would stay behind bars until the retrial. Not sure, but I think his bond would remain in effect.
Has any1 noticed that that second hand doesnt go "click, click, click, " it goes CLickclick, CLickclick, Clickclick???
Now I know I've gone made... as I sit annalyzing the movement of the second hand. I find sometimes it just tics forward, sometimes its a two step forward, and sometimes a step forward with a backslide. ANy other questions?

Have to admit, I am leaning that way, too. And that's not like me....I am always so optimistic, but in view of prior trials, with the waiting game, and then to have a hung jury....gotta lean towards that possibility. I pray they prove me wrong.

The judge said last night he would NOT REDUCE the bail (bond?)... so he will stay in jail.
The only way he will get out from behind bars, is death or not guilty verdict.
If the jury's hung, he stays in jail until another trial can be arranged and that could be a long time. He's already been in jail...........how long? Must be used to bars by now.

Do you think MJ will keep his mouth shut in prison, if its a mistrial? NOT!!!!
Unfortunately, IF a mistrial, (heaven forbid!) MJ goes straight back to his posh Jail cell.;) Too bad, there are MANY just awaiting...for Mark to hit General-PoP.
MeThinks, Mark Jensen will like prison life, just as much as Michael Peterson seems to.
They are FINALLY in their element and don't have to do the "don't ask-don't tell" thing.

Meant to scare the jury into making a decision. This judge might be good at that.
I hope it doesn't come to that but DANG, what are they doing in there?

omg, i love this part:
During their deliberations, jurors in the McClure case often chatted, slept, read and joked around instead of talking about the evidence, according to several jurors interviewed by the Press-Telegram. They frequently started deliberations late and ended early. And to give themselves a “mental break,” one juror said he orchestrated a phony sick call to court so he and a few others on the panel could attend a horse race.
In addition, several in the group drank alcohol with their lunches during the testimony portion of the trial. Later, when the court footed the lunch bills, some occasionally ordered more than they could eat and took the rest home. And three jurors became so chummy they took weekend vacations together.

Cat,
I gotta' tell you. That's the VERY reason I did not panic with the jury last night. They come from a wide variety of lifestyles, no doubt. Different ages, etc.
These people have to work together. It was pretty easy in my " teens" and "twenties" to hoot with the owls AND soar with the eagles.
Not so easy in the thirties and forties.
Gets rougher as I go along. :D
I believe...with ALL my heart that the jurors will take care of one another & come to the correct conclusion.

So is this what it is always like? Is this a typical wait time??
Yeah; it's typical. I've never seen a jury going into the late hours of the night. I think what is frustrating; is that this was a total slam dunk. I thought they'd be back no later than 4-6 hours of deliberation.
