OK for some of you, living in other English speaking nations, Canada, the UK, Australia, and many other places, it seems as though the USA, and our relations with the rest of the world are worth talking about.
I hope some of you, born or living in other nations, can post here, telling us what you hear, what you know, or how we as a USA forum, appear to others.
Thanks... I'm always curious about our Northern brothers in Canada, and our relatives in the UK, and elsewhere.
Oh, and I love to hear from people whose native tongue is NOT English, too, you have a lot to contribute! I hope you tell us what you and your neighbors think!

Agents 'asked me to betray Litvinenko'
Mark Franchetti, Moscow
A RETIRED Russian intelligence officer has revealed that a former colleague tried three times to recruit him for a state-sponsored operation to “get rid of” Alexander Litvinenko, the agent killed in London last year with radioactive polonium-210.

It's an excellent question JG. In the past year I have been to Europe, Asia, England and Haiti for work. Haiti was the only country that I didn't get lots of anti-american sentiment. Go figure.
My boss would tell people that he was German (he does a plausible accent, and thankfully no one spoke to him in German) to avoid the inevitable discussion of "what is that man THINKING!" I have this gawd awful mix of bostonian/southern thing going on, and couldn't possibly have pulled off another accent, or I would have.
I have a lot of family in Ireland, and I get more political news from them, than I read in the papers here. Ireland doesn't seem to be a big fan either.

Good questions and hope to see a lot of input.
I thought these polls were interesting as somewhat a guide -- I'm leery of polls. These attempt to show some of the shifting attitudes over a period of time. http://www.guardian.co.uk/flash/0,5860,1327656,00.html

Don't throw things ..... I believe the title should have included Canada also - turning Afghanistani people over to known torturers doesn't say much about our so-called leadership either .....
