16-Year-Old Gives Birth to Second Set of Triplets
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,331857,00.html

Quote from article:

Provincial authorities donated land and built a house for Pamela’s family when the first set of triplets were born. Pamela’s mother plans to ask the government for more assistance.

No it's not a girl in the United States. However, its still a child having children!

1. A son born to her at age 14
2. 1st set of triplets born when she was 15
3. 2nd set of triplet born this year, she is 16.

Why is she still getting pregnant? Is she just being used as someone to have babies? All of these children have been born premature and who knows what health problems they may have being born premature. These are legitimate questions!!!! MHO

I feel sorry for that child. No birth control. Maybe it is a religious choice?

Not sure, but this is outrageous. My oncologist told me that through studies, it was found that girls who become sexually active as young as 13 and have children in their earlies teens (i.e. 14,15, 16, etc.) would more than likely have breast, ovarian or uterus cancer at some point in their lives.

Wow. That's horrible. I've never heard that before. Did he say why?

The way she explained it was that a females organs are not as mature to handle childbirth, estrogen levels are that of an adult female and begin before the right age to begin with, and STD's are linked to certain cancers. Most young people blow caution to the wind and do not bother to use condoms.

Thanks, Tex for the response. I am still surprised by this news. How many young mothers there must be that have fit this description around the world?

The BBC article makes it sound as if she has been pregnant by different men, too. Seven kids at 16? I can't even imagine.

Whether there are different daddys or not, a mother of 7 at 16 is outrageous. Someone needs to step in and stop this. I don't know what the laws are in her country, but if she keeps having kids like this (with a history of multiple births), taking her body through such trauma every 12 months will kill her!

i really didn't even think about what this is doing to her body. all i thought about was how much milk, bread, diapers this lady needs all at once for all those babies.

I don't know what cleaning houses pays in Argentina, but, doing such work is how the young mother's mother is supporting all of them. I suppose with some help from the government. My daughter is fortunate she never had to depend on me for a similar situation. ha!
