Tragedy was final chapter in a troubled young life

Please take a moment to read this story. This child escaped from a children's shelter running away, but was killed crossing a major freeway in San Antonio.
She came from a home with drug abuse and a mother who would't overcome her drugs at that time. She went into the care of relatives, and would be tied down and abused. She was 13 and looked like she was 10. The Texas court removed her from her guardians home. The child started with many mental and emotion issues. Daily life and coping was hard for her and she never really got mental help at all so she could function and get back into life.
We have many, many kids out there that have come from backgrounds like this, get no help, no mental help and when they grow up, the cycle continies. IMO :(
