Owning a Cat Good for the Heart?

I went on WebMD to search information on another matter, and fell over this article. No wonder I love my kitty baby so much! :love0085:

I think that can be said about any pet, not just cats.

What an interesting article and thanks so much for putting it here! I do believe there's truth in it ~ cats are quiet and calming to the soul. :)

Thanks for a great article. I will tell my little 'Mimi' she is keeping my heart healthy. Nothing like the purr of a contented kitty in your lap.

I used to say the same thing, until I got my darling Chihuahua, that is. He is NOT good for the heart. Hes a little poop & pee-pee factory, and I am stressed every evening when I go back down to the house wondering what he peed on or got into today!!! Little monster. Good thing hes so damn cute!!! :girl_haha:

But you love him anyway. :)

I've never heard the expression "poop & pee pee factory". That's funny. :girl_haha:

I had a roommate years back that was a grouchy 45 year old man, he was waiting for a new heart, so he had to hang around the house all day with some gadget to take measurements of his heart (don't ask me what it was haven't a clue) This man hated my dogs, but since he was too weak when he sat in a chair, my dogs would jump in his lap and kiss him..(I thought he would have a heart attack) Well after 4 months his attitude changed he started having the dogs go into his bedroom, wanted to feed them an care for them, and when he went in for his heart evaluation they took the machine off him and put him on some kinda of medication. He I believe actually grew a heart, cuz I know he didn't have one previously..:girl_haha: THe doctor even wanted to know what had changed in his life and he wouldn't admit it was the dogs..that's how stubborn that SOB was. his lose.

So I can say I saw what a animal can do with health. Everyone needs a animal, something that takes their mind off of themselves..People without animals are not in my circle of friends..sorry that's how I feel. of course the ones that can't have them, but still love them I let in. :love0085:
