View Full Version : Sentencing of Mark Jensen

Continue here!
I brought this over:
Assuming that David has been sold a bill of goods about his mother's death, then today's statements in court must be quite a bucket of cold water in his face.
In his memory: a loving mother, begging his father to call an ambulance, waiting in the car when Daddy went into the house to find Mommy's body, the company mattress moving right in...
Surely the truth which he heard this morning resonates with his memories and not the carp he's been fed.

yes I wonder if David was even listening today. He may have tuned out. I wouldn't blame him a bit.

I do not believe that ignorance is bliss. I believe that WHEN the "oh, my god!" moment happens to them, they will seek out the truth.
The truth is painful but so are the lies they have been spoonfed.
I think the term "birth mother" came from Mark and Julie and that the boys have been taught to refer to Julie that way. I will bet they call Kelly "mom" and refer to their birth mother as "Julie."
kindee

But kella it doesn't work that way in reality. People are in denial until they are in a safe enough emotional place to process it. And if you rush them, it halts their own journey to the truth.
In psychology "we" see every sign of early sexual abuse but often the client has NO idea it even happened let alone the connections. You want to scream the truth to them but that is absolutely contraindicated. when they are ready, they will go there. How they are "ready" has to do with many factors, none of which I see present for David or Douglas YET. This atmosphere is not conducive to the healing process. As someone else said earlier, they need to get up and OUT and away for any "aha" moments to be possible, jmo.

Any reason why everyone is ignoring me today? I feel like Im talking to myself and it is no fun. Im not feeling the love people, AT ALL!!!
Sorry Summer,
Things are going at lightening speed today. In order for me to hear the Jensen sentencing on my computer, I couldn't comment at all. It was a L-O-N-G morning for me. I just now got caught up here, I am hopelessly behind elsewhere.

Hi kellabeck! I think you are so right, the kids think of Kelly as their mother. They were taught by Mark and Kelly that their mother abanded them and we are here to love you. What a strange and twisted family, the whole clan!

It's all about the Cutts case. Lisa referred to DP sentences for black convicts when whites are the victims and whites are the jury. Jami said "She said it, Lisa brought up race". She was pointing the finger because she always gets the emails. Lisa said she doesn't worry about emails, Jami said she does because she cares about viewers.

When we first went into the courtroom we got really good seats on the right side (looking at the Judge). The Jury came in and sat in front of us, then asked to see the delibration room. So we said that we would watch their coats. Then IIRC Kelly and David sat in front of them. When they came back from looking at the room they moved to the other side. Then we found out that we were on the Defense side. That was just the oposite of the trial. We didn't stay around very long afterwards.

I was wrong about Warhorse coming. We were dressed in pink and sat behind the Jury members. What a great Judge! He didn't impress me at the begining of the trial, but I love him now! After the sentencing Kelly and MJ's mom were out of views of the camera and said to each other that they would see each other later. They also said "I love you". Mr. Jesens was not around, so maybe he is the one who is having the problem with Laura. IMO

Hi ya'll - have you missed me? I have had a ton of work to do and have just been reading your posts off and on. All of you are JUST GREAT!!!! I was just watching Albee read the letter from the boys and wow........I don't think that they wrote that letter at all. If you read between the lines, it was all about how great their dad was, what he did for them and how hard he worked for his family. Total Bull! And, then the quivering chin and gulping of Mark, he still could not squeeze out a tear. The jerk got what he deserved, imo. I watched the brother tell about Julie and boy that brought tears to my eyes. She was really, truly loved by those men and deep down they truly do miss having her here on earth with them. I am glad that he mentioned David and Douglas in his speech as much as he did. Maybe they will realize how much that family cares for them and will reach out for that love.
Hi BL. Yes, it would be wonderful if they could have a relationship with their uncles and their families. It's going to be a hard row for those boys.

Also, I really don't think David Jensen wrote all of that letter.
The sentence structure was too adult. My son at that age, who was
doing great writing, couldn't have done that.
Some of the wording was just too mature IMO. He may have said OK to the writer and given input...but I don't think he wrote it. JMO

My feelings about that letter is he had someone coach him.If the boys loved there father so much why didn't David look at his father, why did he hang his head so much why didn't his father look at at him, And most of all if David felt his father was such a great father WHY DIDN'T HE READ THAT LETTER HIMSELF,HE IS AFTER ALL 18 YEARS OLD. I saw no emotion from David at all. That to me is very telling.I also saw no emotion from anyone in that family.

I'm catching up here!!!! Thanks for the correction WI Twin Mom on who I heard say what to who!
Banfield cut off for the Cutts trial so I didn't get to see much on TV of what went on in front of us today. I'm surprised that Cutts got a 30 yr. eligibility, having admitted to killing Jessie and mark got NUTHIN'! :hifive:
ENJOYED meeting You today, Pinky!
Hi jmr! I haven't watch the tape yet. But I did see MJ's lip quiver. That's as emotional as he gets. I don't think that the memory of the kids crying with daddy is real. He has told that story so many times that the boys believed it!

I think that whoever wrote the letter was recounting Mark's *memory* of holding the boys on his lap. I'm with you Frankie. The phraseology of that letter didn't come from the heart of a 18 year old young man aching for his Dad. I'm sure he had input, but he didn't write it. It wasn't in the first person at all.

You're in NH, I'm from Boston. Have you ever heard of a "Cringle"? I notice the WI girls spelled it with a "K" - Being that Kelly is also not from around here, and it's spelled with a "C" in the boy's letter, think SHE was the author?

Another thing that bothers me is that if Mark was so loved by them, why were they not in court to support their dad. I am sure that there were days that they could have been there. Where was Kelly every day? If I cared so deeply for someone I would find a way to be there to show support. She wasn't even there when the verdict was returned. Sounds crazy to me. That family shows no soul what-so-ever, no tears or anything close to being emotional, well, except for laughing and smiling like they were attending a cocktail party.

That letter was written by an experienced adult.
They may have shown it to David for his Okay...but I don't think he
wrote it either.
The tics were a pulling of one side of his mouth. The camera was focused on him, closely, and after the first side ways smile, at least 3 others followed and then the camera shifted off him quickly. It looked like a smirk at first, then I
remembered the tic history.
I have some medical history with ADHD and tics... my son has ADHD and developed tics from his meds. Finally we got him off the meds and the tics went away. But over the years I have had alot of contact with tic patients.
Their forum is :
http://www.latitudes.org/forums/index.php?showforum=1
If anyone here needs help, this forum is just excellent!
I am only there on a limited basis. But I was very interested in the tic
testimony. Tics do increase with stress. And patients can suppress them to a great extent if they are mild.
If David is reading here, please visit that forum if you need help.

I have to say, I found it very peculiar and quite odd that NO ONE, besides the letter from the kids, got up and spoke on Mark's behalf. I've watched ALOT of cases on CTV through the years and people ALWAYS get up on the defendent's behalf and ask for mercy from the judge. I'm not understanding WHY no one got up.
I thought, for sure, the father was going to speak when he showed up in a suit today. He handed something to Craig Albee and I thought it was a statement because David had just handed his in. (Must have been a payment though!) Clearly, the mother was going to have nothing to say - she didn't even bother to take her coat off through the whole thing!

My son just got home from school. I played the part of B&F that showed the reading of the letter. He was as shocked as I was at Julie being referred to as "birth mother." He's 15, so a peer of David's. He also agreed that the letter sounded as though it was written in the third person, not first person. Therefore, definitely not written by David. He said that he would never refer to me as his "birth mother" after my death. I asked him "even if you had an awesome stepmother?" He said no. Not even then.

I just re-read through all of your posts and you all were right on the money. I was at work today so was unable to view it Live but I caught the replay on CNN. MJ PRETENDED to cry when Albee read that letter or at least, that is the way it seemed to me. He could not even muster a tear. I guess he would say he was being "prideful" but whatever, the man has no heart. And I agree that the son did not write that letter. His mother was murdered and he was not adopted!! So what was up with that "birth mother" crap!! Jeez he was 8-years-old so I am sure he has vivid memories of his mother. But, KJ and MJ has been working on those memories for 10-years!! I think MJ deserved that sentence because just like JJ's older brother stated, he had a CHOICE. Divorce was always an option, but he chose the easier and less costly way. I hope the boys get the help they need, MJ rots in jail, and KJ leads an unhappy life with a husband locked up and now a single parent.
I noticed the facial tics on both MJ and DJ! What is up with thoses? Do you think they come from nervousness? MJ couldn't even fake a tear, I guess he probably spends his days now looking over the transacripts of his trial so he can catch a loophole for his appeal. Does anyone know if Albee is going to arrange "protective" custody in the BIG house for MJ? I can't wait till he gets a load of those hardened criminals!!!:girl_haha: :basic44: They are going to make mincemeat out of him!! Hi DeeJay, I'm convinced that letter was the work of Kelly and Ma Jensen! The boys were told nothing nice about their mother because that would ruin MJ's alibi. Julie wasn't right in the head and committed suicide to get back at their Dad. How sick! He should be charged with child abuse also!

ITA with you. I don't believe the kids wrote a word of that
letter. Just signed it.
I agree, it is a form of child abuse. MJ & Kelly have mentally abused the kids by not telling them the truth.
In view of what the letter states, I doubt the kids will ever make contact with Julie's brothers.
IF that's truly the way the boys think of Julie, their "bio-mother" then they won't be interested in the $$$ they are
to aquire from her life insurance policy.
I mean if they really only see Julie as a woman that gave'
birth to them........then they shouldn't accept the $$$.
What say you?

Oh, I think they will accept the $! How else will they pay for college? MJ has no $ left and the parents are hocked up to their eyeballs!! I'm worried that they will be force (by Kelly and Ma & Pa) to use the $ to help their dad with the appeal. More brain washing going on!!!

I have the sincere hope that they (or maybe a close friend of theirs) have found these boards so they are able to consider the fact that their father really is guilty, and that they should keep the money for their education. I hope they will get transcripts of the trial, and maybe talk to the prosecutors and ask all the questions that must be going through their minds. And that they reach out to their uncles for the love and support that they will need to accept that their father did indeed kill their mother.

Those Jensen boys have been under the thumbs and
total control, (just like Hitler's Nazis), of Mark &
Kelly for 10 years. The kid's minds are formed and
there's no turning back, not without professional intervention.
It's more difficult to de-program a bent mind than fix a broken leg.
You can bet the money David receives from his mothers'

Yes, but he wasn't when the death occured. I'm wondering if the insurance company will put it into trust for them. David might not be able to touch it, except for school tuition, until he is 25. I hope the insurance company has some leeway on how and when they distribute the money. Maybe someone on the board has some knowlege of how insurance companies handle stuff like this.

Why didn't he read it then if he is such a loving father and they love him, also why was there no emotion shown.I guess we will have to agree to disagree.I raised 2 sons and 4 Daughters I saw a lot of emotion when there father died and they all got up and spoke at his funeral because they loved him as well as he loved them.I saw no emotion from that family at all. I think the letter is too badly written to have been composed by David Jensen, an 18-year-old honor student with aspirations of medical school. He would have been trained to write better than that for the written portion of the college boards.
I am guessing Kelly on this one (with the help of a spell checker)...do not believe she went to college or excelled in high school...
Some "educated" words (e.g, obscured, devastated, etc) were thrown into the document to make it seem like a scholar wrote it but really poor fluency overall. Some sentences are just fragments. Tenses jumping all over the place. Missing prepositions.
Use of third person in the holding David and Douglas is a giveaway. David would not have had a vivid memory of seeing himself and Douglas held.
I don't think Albee had anything to do with this other than possibly asking it be done. Whoever composed this is not used to putting thoughts on paper in a coherent fashion. And for anyone not familiar with the school systems today, children are trained to write as soon as they can hold a pencil. My ten year olds write better sentences than this (albeit with a more limited vocabulary).

Lordy, MJ made no bones about putting her personal

Ya think he'd keep her ashes? I do not.

I wonder what Julie's sons have been taught all of these years. How can anyone be so hateful as to want to erase the life of a mother. Julie was a mother. I am so glad the judge saw MJ for what he was/is. I hope some charge can be levied against KJ. Probably not. I can dream. So cold are MJ and KJ. It was totally unbelievable today to hear Albee read that letter supposedly from Julie's sons. I felt pain and I think her brothers had to be seething. People have posted where were friends of MJ's. I have wondered also. No one spoke of their friendship.
I hope Julie's sons will one day want to learn more about their mother. Perhaps they willl realize that MJ and KJ wanted to wipe their mother's existence away like soiled toliet tissue.
Many posters have questioned Julie's reason for staying and why she never told anyone other than the Wojts. Maybe if she had worked outside of the home she would have had more contact with ADULTS and well perhaps. Yes some of this was exhibited when she told David's teacher. I see Julie as being a caregiver putting herself last always. Too bad she was so too trusting.
I hope the Griffin family will let the boys come to them and not persue any contact. I pray in time they will.
Sorry for the rant. THIS IS JUST AWFUL!

3 big time sentences in one day. Mark Jensen, Bobby Cutts, and this dude.
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/ap/nation/5576562.html
I was thinking about Mark and Julie's son as I was driving home and I had one of those "lightbulb" moments and was wondering if anyone has wrote about this on the board or thought about it.
We all saw David Jensen in the courtroom this morning and noticed that he is a nice looking young man. In fact, he looks like "I believe" Mark would have looked when he was younger. I also noticed the closeness that he has with Kelly Jensen. So my question is this: David Jensen is now "technically" the man of the household and is an adult (18), so is it too far of a reach for me to worry about a relationship that could potentially develop between he and KJ? I mean, they are probably both suffering since MJ has been sent to prison and are probably offering each other comfort. So who thinks that a relationship (sexual I mean) could possibly develop between them? Am I way off base? I mean we all know what KJ is capable of so seducing a lonesome, confused young man far out her reach? Let me know if this is just one of my crazy thoughts!! :eyebrow1qb:

I think that whoever wrote the letter was recounting Mark's *memory* of holding the boys on his lap. I'm with you Frankie. The phraseology of that letter didn't come from the heart of a 18 year old young man aching for his Dad. I'm sure he had input, but he didn't write it. It wasn't in the first person at all.

Something about David's demeanor was definitely wrong, but there was so many possible reasons for the way he seemed, it would be hard to know the exact one, if there is only one, without some serious counseling. Any who have read my posts for a while know these boys have been on my heart and will continue to be so for some time to come.

One story about being in the courtroom today just popped into my head.....
When we were waiting for the sentencing to begin Jambois walked in with Ms. Gabrielle. We noticed his hair was not combed. I was worried what everyone would say on the boards (not here!) about his hair! He finally stopped by the ppl behind us to say hello to someone. They mentioned to him about his hair, he quickly ran his fingers through his hair to fix it. Then he must have combed it or gone in back because he looked good on camera. Just another memory from today!
