Police: Man Had Sex With Girl, 11, For Years

MIRAMAR, Fla. -- A 35-year-old man accused of having sex with his girlfriend's 11-year-old daughter confessed to engaging in sexual activity with the girl for years, according to an arrest report obtained Wednesday.

Donald Edward Johnson was arrested Tuesday and charged with sexual battery on a child under 12 years old.

Miramar police said Johnson gave a recorded confession stating that he had been engaged in sexual activity with the girl since she was 8 years old. According to police, Johnson said the girl was curious about sex and asked him questions about the subject.

According to the report, the girl told police that Johnson engaged in sexual activity with her for about four years, since she was 7. The girl couldn't recall specific dates, but she said most incidents occurred in the bedroom or in his 2005 Dodge Dakota after her mother left to work a night shift.

Sad isn't it? It is why victims carry so much guilt. Blame the victim for being interested or acting slutty or pay the victim with favors (toys, clothing, etc.). This poor child from the age of 8 y/o. Why didn't mommy notice anything? There must have been some behavioral changes with her. How can that child carry that burden all alone for so long....

I do hope he is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Now let me get this straight. Grandpa looks through the window and sees a grown man having sex with his 11 year old granddaughter and his first reaction is to go to a telephone? === And the man was still alive ... and perhaps worse.... STILL engaged in the sexual activity by the time police arrive?

That'd never have happened that way in MY family!
