How about when David was pleading to his dad to take his mom to the hospital.

I thought they would have talked about how smart the jury was putting the post-it note together with Julie's letter.
I thought that too. I really think someone at ABC (20/20)really wanted the boys to know about their mom.

How sick Julie was and how "SOMEONE" was looking up EG and then double erasing files on the computer. (How smart was Jambois convincing MJ to let them take his computer and do an investigation - for the insurance company!!!)

So sorry I couldn't be here when 20/20 played, because I was too entranced to log on. 20/20 did a great job, for the show being only an hour. Doncha think?

Jambois was terrific! I loved the scene where he was listening to MJ's tapes from jail, while he was putting in some baseboard LOL and his new cup! LOL

Jams was also so great in the way he talked MJ into his taking the computer--oh for insurance LOL MJ not too smart! Not as smart as he thinks!

Also how about the earlier pics of KLB! Actually she looked pretty good a long time ago. I think the past 9+ years have changed her, just just a bit! Unless she dumbed down for the court proceedings. Definetly she was heavier and homely in court, appeared rather old-fashioned the school marmy type! I guess living with MJ and his troubles took its toll on her.

How about MJ reading Julie's letter! If that had been shown before, I missed it. I sat there thinking, WHY WHY WHY is he not pciking it up? Anyone else have that reaction? Reminded me of someone thinking they were going to be bit by a cobra or worse! SHOCK! lol Oh Yeah! I guess he was frozen to the core! LOL And all gussied up in his suit too and trying to get away with murder!!!! NOT! lol Wonder what his BP was at that time? :basic44:

The Voyts were great too, along with Mr. Klugs review.

Julie would be proud, her brothers were there for her. That part was so sad, it breaks my heart. They waited for so long but were ready to charge on! I forget which brother, but they he letter from Julie was ruled in on one of the brother's birthdays! What a gift! (sorry didn't take notes, as I was so glued, I can't think of anything else right now) Then the phone rang!

i didnt know Ed Klug was your brother either. let me tell you that i believed him when he said mark told him those things. i also do not hold it against him for not saying anything about it to the DA or Police. i can understand how some people might not want to get involved for one reason or another. i am glad tho that the pro's had him.

Thanks for the morning laugh, OC!!

I fell asleep last night and God bless my DVR, not a problem and able to watch again from the beginning....My impression is that they did a very good job, especially at behind the scenes stuff, which I crave, and considering the short time they have. But it's like a tray of hors d'oeurves (sp?), isn't it?

WE know so much more having watched the trial. Still it was terrific.

My favorite part was watching Bob Jambois adding trim to his room while listening to audio tapes of Mark's phone calls from jail.

Dan Jensen says about him he's the "smartest rat in the sewer." And he has a cup that declares that. He's proud of that! I loved him for it!

Unfortunately I have to get ready for my weekly Sat. morning walk in Central Park with Macaroon and some friends and their dogs. So I will sign off until later. I took notes!! I will be back.

Good morning everybody!:happy0207:

I watched the 20/20 show last night. Thought it was good, but you and I know that they had to leave ALOT of stuff out to keep it to one hour long.

WI TWIN MOM -- Ed did good. Tell him him from Bigkitty!

:girl_haha::girl_haha: "Smartest Rat in the Sewer" -- Mr. Jambois is my hero. I want to get a t-shirt with a picture of him and his cup. He made me laugh so much at his reaction to MJ and dear old dad's nastiness.

Angie almost made me fall off my chair when she dropped the F-bomb. Didn't expect it from her.:D

MJ - what can I say -- the more I saw of him the creepier he seems to me.:71526: I'm so glad he's off the street. I think he is a very, very dangerous person.

KJ - she definitely uglied up for her testimony. The engagement picture showed what she really looks like. The glasses are probably a prop to make her look less like the sex-crazed marriage wrecker than she is. I LOVED the way the cameras stalked her. I hope they walked on the back of her heels as they got that footage.:eyebrow1qb::mad:

:attention: QUESTION FOR THOSE WHO HAVE EAGLE EYES:

Does anyone know if David was there at the forfeiture hearing? I saw him get up and hug MJ when MJ's bail was raised and he wound up being sent to jail. Does anyone know if this was separate from the testimony during the forfeiture? If he was there during the forfeiture hearing, then nothing that was brought up during the trial re how his father and kelly were behaving and how MJ was treating his mother was a surprise to him. I wonder if he did hear all of it, what he thinks about all of this.

Topaz
03-01-2008, 08:37 AM
did a good job. They seem to have been involved for a long time, did
interviews in the past, etc. So the show was fairly complete.
(Not like the Melanie McGuire show which was awful).

I also got a kick out of the sewer rat comment, and loved Mr. Jambois'
new coffee mug! LOL

This show went a long way in portraying Julie as she was--kind and devoted, so it counterbalanced the smear attempt by the defense.

Also they really chose the most creepy pictures of Mark. Showing him as the scary dude that he really is!

All in all it was a good job. TV can never approach the detail of a trial, but this one was better than most, IMO.

Home from muddy, rainy (at first) Central Park --- with half of its dirt on Macaroon! His jacket, his raincoat and his body all needed a bath!

Things jumped out at me from last night's broadcast.

Jambois noticed her arm position right away. He had no grounds, though, for a search warrant, so he told MJ how sorry he was for his loss and GAVE HIM A HUG and asked for consent to seize the computer. I loved that. Ole Marky is prolly thinking how slick he is and how he has it all made in the shade.

The book club. Nice to see them together.

Clips of Dr Spiro make him seem credible, not destroyed on cross as we know he was. Drs. Long, Mainland and Rumack don't even make a cameo.

Jay Schadler says that "the photo" of the "own drug supply" list was with Julie's letter and that is not true. They had to leave out how the jury put them side by side.

So much had to be left out!!

Ellis, the PI, says that Julie believed Mark was "capable" of being the porn stalker....That was new to me (but b/c of RL I had to miss parts of the testimony so maybe this came up in court.)

Marky all smiles in his orange Tshirt. Looking super smug like the canary-swallowing cat. Like one of the 6000 who get away with murder every year. Makes you want to smack him upside the head.

The engagement photo of Kelly and Mark!!! I had suspected that she drabbed down for court, but wow!!

The high-five with Dad....If you never believed his parents knew before, don't you know it now?

Ed Klug was a surprise witness last summer?? Marky must've about died when he saw him come in the room!

Mark was locked up on Paul Griffin's birthday. And now Mark is sentenced the day after Julie's.

I love watching Mark reading the letter.

We got to see Mark's cell. It's cozy, ain't it?

And there was Aaron Dillard looking better the farther he gets from a cell. I hope he turns his life around.

Margaret Wojt says that Julie told her "Mark would kill me first before he would divorce me."

That was new to me. Did I just miss it in testimony?

The porn pics are staged and not accurate from what we know them to be.

And the 20/20 audience doesn't hear about the 2800 penis pix.

I wish this show had been 3 or 4 hours and they could have done this case better, although it's so complex even that would have left a lot out.

I think 20/20 should have done 2 hours on this case. It warranted at
least 2 hours.

They did interview Dillard. Wonder what the jury thought
about that....since none of the 12 believed Dillard? I did & do!

Dillard testified to the murder using descriptions that would
NOT have been in any of MJ's files in the cell.

In order to NOT BELIEVE Dillard, one has to ask how could he have
possibly splained all those details he testified to?

"Wasn't dying fast enough."

"Rolled her over and sat on her."

Those 2 details could NOT have been in MJ's case files.

Those details had to have been TOLD to Dillard by no one
but the murderer.

Therefore, Kella, you, me, the pros and Dillard know them to be
TRUE.

I hate Dr. Borman. I feel he let Julie down.

He really needs to be reported to the medical board...And Ambien needs to be a controlled substance (if it's not already). In the Shawna Nelson case, Ambien came in too...part of the alleged plot was to put Shawna's husband to sleep during the killing.

What does everyone think is the most important evidence that 20/20 didn't show?

*How the physical evidence, the ribcage bruising, lined up so perfectly with Aaron Dillard's info about what Mark said, proving that MJ smothered Julie.

*How David begged Daddy to call an ambulance and how Mark lied about going to work and left the boys in the car when he went into the house to "find" Julie's body.

*How Mark's computer was stuffed with 2800 penis pix arranged by size and that the porn stalking was all about penises and size.

We have spoken often about denial and its power.

I am watching DATELINE from last night covering a case utterly new to me: Gordon Weaver's estranged wife Jean dies with a huge gash on her head and her body and the basement around it set on fire.

Gordon was arrested and released on bond. His mother's car is found many miles away with blood inside. His mother sends out a Christmas card with the message that Jean "fell and died in a fire" and that Gordon has disappeared and they don't know if he is alive.

Anyone with a brain saw that Gordon killed Jean and staged his own disappearance. But not Mommy and Daddy.

Turns out his parents knew where he was hiding all along and they helped him.

ETA: His elderly parents were charged with aiding him. (Boy, that's an exception!!!) Charges v. the father were dropped b/c of med. condition and mother had to do community service.

Gordon Weaver was convicted of unintentional homicide but that was overturned and he remains in custody awaiting a new trial.

The family in Oregon which took him as "David Carson" in, remains splintered because of him.

What a despicable, toxic POS.

He really needs to be reported to the medical board...And Ambien needs to be a controlled substance (if it's not already). In the Shawna Nelson case, Ambien came in too...part of the alleged plot was to put Shawna's husband to sleep during the killing.I have not kept up with the Nelson trial. I guess the jury is deliberating that case. Being Julie was his patient for 4 years and I'm assuming this is not a very large town, Dr. Borman just from his notes of a day earlier should have insisted that Julie be re-examined! I can't see his practice being so large he could not have gone the extra step. He noted how different Julie was acting, this should have sent off an alarm. OK perhaps he did have a large practice back then. I think after this case if he were my doctor, I might be shopping around for a new one. He is probably a good doctor with old- fashioned bedside manners.
Dr. Denton was blindsided.

Excellent thoughts Orchid. I liked when the snitch said that poor little Marky was being picked on in jail. Can you imagine what he'll have to go through in prison after the inmates found out about his obsessions with penis'? LOL

Good Afternoon Anna, :) I was up all night and missed the morning!

Thank you! Yeah and 5000+ wasn't it? YIKES! Gives his future friends opportunity for some really neat nicknames and MORE! LOL And I thought most guys were into breasts! :s1gyahoo: Leaves a lot to the imagination, doesn't it? :thud2: So often there are visuals in these trials which my memory doesn't need. What a pitiful legacy MJ leaves for his children all the way around!

See you DID do Good! :happy0207: And more to reread I see!

Kella, Laughter is Good eh LOL I enjoy your posts as they are always very informative, cause I sure miss a lot sometimes and also forget. RL too dang! You and Kindee have carried me through this trial! I don't have DSL, still waiting for V! Some days I could get the feed and somedays not! It was very frustrating!

Ah a walk in the park sounds nice, poor Macaroon, but now all cleaned up and warm. Lots of snow here dangit! Not bad if there wasn't so much ice under it.

Jams had it all over on MJ, LOL just picturing the hug and all Mark must have thought, "home free"! LOL No wonder his work computer fried HA!

It was a shame they didn't give the jury their credit due for putting the list and the letter together! It was an AMAZING moment for me! KUDOS to the Jury!

I thought it was portrayed Julie thought the porn stalker was PT, which really made me feel so sad for him as he said he would have done anything to help Julie. I missed too, about Julie thinking it could have been MJ. Maybe they were wrong, as they were about the letter.

You did fill in some for me tho! :) I needed to take notes, sure would help my memory!

Well seems 20/20 rushed this presentation. I am hoping someone will write a book, and hopefully all the facts will be right on spot!

Until 20/20's show last night,
I did not know Jambois viewed Julie's body while
it was still in the house.

Yeah, that bit of info was a total surprise to me.

First time I saw the photo of Julie in the bed, the
arm under her, caught my eye first. No one in
a concious state, or just sleeping, could
sleep like that.

It fits perfectly with Dillard's testimony. Julie was on
her back, MJ "rolled her over and sat on her."

Funnily enough, the position of her limbs didnt dawn
on MJ or he would have done a better job in the
"staging" process.

i just got through watching last nights 20/20. i think they did a good job for an hour show.

the one thing new that i saw was a the hearing when mj's bail was set up to 1.2 mil and he is hand cuffed in the court room. i put the recorder on slow mo and went frame by frame of the quick hug that David gives mj. David pats his fathers back three times and then rubs it up and down two. it looks like a parent comforting a child, not the other way around. then he pulls back and puts his two hands together down close to his belt line and picks at his fingernails and hangs his head.

well i am off to do yard work that i have been putting off for about a month.

sorry PP but man you don't really have the right to tell somebody they are not of right mind or what a jurior can or can't say on a public MB. the defence can't do chit about what a jurior says after the fact unless he/she post that they did research or talked about the case. PP it has nothing to do with liking you or not.

i just think maybe you are somewhat over involved and interjecting yourself into the case.

listen what a jurior says after the verdict is not grounds for appeal unless the jurior talks about jurior misconduct. which that poster has not. to judge her/him about what their spirtitual beliefs about their decesssed mother is and further say that albee could use it for a new trail well to me is just not right.

Why do people ask for,'wait for the jury to decide', tho in the past have supported the evidence of guilt. Then later post MJ is not guilty by reason of appeal? Have they lost faith in the jury system?
Even the possibility of a new trial and JJ letter is not allowed, I am convinced that if a new trial does go forward, the jury will still convict MJ.
Remember Sprio's testimony/opinion was based on JJ letter.[jury did not rely on experts]
Borman, family doctor, gave MJ abmien that were found in JJ body. JJ never asked for such meds and my opinion did not really know why the paxil was given.
JJ expressed her doubts about MJ to others, before the letter was given to LE by the Wojts'.
No one proved that JJ was delusional or psychotic and on the verge of suicide.
If a new trial is granted, let it go forward. It will still be the same outcome.
IMO

I agree that in the remote chance that MJ got a retrial without the letter, that he would still be convicted because
1) Julie's statements to the Wojts and to Mrs DeFazio would still come in
2) the internet searches would too and they are the smoking gun\
3) the porn stalking
4) his behavior
would all still come in. I think the photos she turned over to the police would also as they are physical evidence.

But I am thinking that his appeal is going to be denied. I hope so.

I think it's all going to rest on the California case. Jambois already has said if the letter gets tossed on appeal he will again come back as a special pro and do it again. He has told the Griffen brothers he would go after Mark again. This has been his case since day one, he will never give up if Mark is a granted an appeal.

The 20/20 was NOT anything new that we had already seen during the live stream of the trial.
Nothing like the Ed Bradley 60 minutes about the Duke Rape Hoax.

After hearing the jurors speaking that the JJ letter was the road map and applied the photo of the sticky note was very important. I feel that without the letter, the photo of the sticky note is far more relevant that supports JJ suspicion of her husband.

I have posted about two convicted killers along with links to more info and I am hoping you will add the stories by posting others along with links.
