am sad but not surprised that young David was having nightmares. He remembers the last time he saw his Mommy. Daddy propped her up so that he and Douglas could kiss her. And he begged Daddy to call an ambulance for her and Daddy said no. And soon she was dead. Children often blame themselves. Perhaps he felt guilt for not having saved her.
And then whatever was being heaped on them from the abundant toxix supply that was his killer-dad and his moll he'd moved in right away to take over the spot that was his Mommy's.
And then he's being told Mommy killed herself (prolly his fault too) and Daddy's being blamed and that's Mommy's fault. And that Mommy is here. Here's Mommy in the short dark hair. Julie was his "birth mother."

No wonder the poor kid had nightmares.

I hear you, Lynda. I've had it with the trolls over there. They are making it impossible to carry on any kind of discussion. Tubes is the worst right now. She'll be banned in no time and then it'll be nicer over there. Welll, a bit nicer.

The way MJ was moving right along immediately after
Julie died had to have turned the boy's lives upside
down.

Bringing in the "baby sitter," putting Julie's belongings
out for the rubbish collector.

Removing any and all traces of Julie had to have been
unsettling for David & Douglas.

I just wonder if MJ didn't also remove all photos of
Julie in the home as well.

I shall never believe David & Douglas penned that
letter to the court. It would have been convicing
had David taken the stand and stated his feelings,
and not read:INhouseReading04: from a previous
written statement. I don't know if WI courts require
written statements or not.

You guys really love that old southern boy don't ya? Personally, I think he is/was an awsome quaterback. Hate to see him go because I loved to watch him after he made a great play or threw a touchdown.

Question for you JJ - do you think that Kelly was involved in any way with this? I think she knew what was going on and perhaps played a part in the demise of Julie. I was puzzled about the immunity thingy and just keep playing this in my head. She sure didn't have any qualms about moving into Julie's and Mark's house right after her death and 'sleeping in the bed where Julie died'. Just purely morbid and evil if you ask me.

Good afternoon!

I was on vacation for the last week... so... I missed the sentencing. Last night I watched most of the youtube clips (thank you!) so I feel I was able to see most of it. I still haven't read through the threads of the days to get all of your comments. I had set my DVR to record TruTV those days, but it failed... so I missed whatever the talking heads had to say about it. Did they cover it much on TruTv?

On the youtube clips, I heard Julie's four brothers speak, the letter from the "boys", Mr. Jambois, Mr. Albee, and the Judge discussing the dying declaration and the actual sentencing. That covers it, right?

I agree with those who question the authenticity of the boys letter (I wonder who penned it, or who set the talking points), but I don't doubt the boys deeply love their father. What I hope, however, is that they do some day read the court transcript... hear all the evidence... because they should know the truth. I wish Mark was just man enough to be truthful to his boys... that would be a true act of love rather than an act of cover up, denial and deceit.

I also missed the 20/20 program. I found a link that had an article about it, but haven't seen any of the actual video. Does it exist somewhere? I should check my cable quide to see if 20/20 is among the On Demand shows offered.

I did send a card and note to the Griffin family via the P.O. Box listed on their website, but it was returned as not a deliverable address, unable to forward :(. So, if anyone knows of a Griffin address accepting mail, could you please send it to me via private message? I thought it would be hard to find a condolence card appropriate for being nine years late... but I found the simply perfect one. Honoring your loss, wishing you peace~

So... now I guess I will take a browse through days of missed posts....

Hi J Juror! I've been on vacation for the last week... so, were you actually one of the jurors?

Here is a thread were some of us discussed what we thought to be the strengths and weaknesses of the prosecution and defense. Perhaps you've already read this one, but in case not:
http://helpfindthemissing.org/forum/showthread.php?t=2502

And I have a question for you..

... do you know... did the toxicology report show any nicotine in Julie's system? Was it tested for? In any case, I think MJ probably was collecting the nicotrol as part of his arsenal of poisons. Not sure if he used it. I didn't start thinking that until after Dr. Denton said how toxic nicotine was, as well as another member here (Topaz). http://helpfindthemissing.org/forum/showthread.php?p=114092#post114092

I'm not JJ but I can't get over that email that Mark wrote Kelly questioning whether she was ready to take him and the boys on....Back in the 90's a divorced father would normally get every other weekend, so I can't seen Kelly as really taking on a whole family herself...That statement (in my opinion) points to Julie's being out of the picture entirely...and we heard nothing about a divorce lawyer being hired. JMHO.

WOW!! I forgot about the email sent to her. That's it in a nutshell for me - she's guilty too in some way. Would just love to see her get what's coming to her. I hope those boys wake up and smell the coffee and get to the truth of this matter and realize that they have been duped for these many years. My heart just goes out to them. :1222423::1222423:

I think she is just as selfish of a person as MJ. I find it really hard to beleave she knew nothing of what happened to Julie. I had read or someone told me that Kelly did not know Julie died. How is that possable?? Word of Julie's death spread like wildfire and she worked at the head office? Mark wanted her to attend Julie's wake and funeral. Way too strange any way you look at it. What, when and how she knew we can only guess.
I do know the police went to her job to talk to her. It was then she had learned Mark was arrested. It was a Oh by the way did you know type thing.
And she had no reaction.

Thank you so much! Looking at those pics (took me a while to find them on the site), I guess we were wrong about Kelly dressing down for court. I'm thinking the life of lies just took a toll on her over time. By that I mean, I felt she looked very attractive in her engagement announcement picture, but in those pics and in her appearance at court, she looked very plain. And the poor boys. I hate seeing them with her. Poor Julie, prepared a ready-made family for Kelly and Mark. Oh I hope those boys soon realize the wonderful men the Griffin bros. are and that they will soon open the lines of communication.

some of them (ex: justice dawg) are so caught up in "people who are innocent being wrongly convicted" that is what JD does for a living, or so she says... and i understand... i certainly don't want innocent ppl to go to prison...(WM3 is a really good example of that right now!)
but i think they totally lose sight of the other end of that spectrum... and that's allowing murderers to go free to murder again!!!! they need to get over the tunnel vision!

I think some of them don't even know what being able to support their statement means. In so many ways, many think if they believe something that's all that's needed. IMO, just because we live in a free country doesn't mean we need to say whatever springs into our heads. :basic45:

Hey MJ thought the same way. He said a lot of stuff to people and because he said it --- therefor it is true. I don't know how many times I asked for their list of stuff and got nothing back. Go take a look. I don't know who started it--but they are talking closing the thread. Would that be because of me????

I think she is just as selfish of a person as MJ. I find it really hard to beleave she knew nothing of what happened to Julie. I had read or someone told me that Kelly did not know Julie died. How is that possable?? Word of Julie's death spread like wildfire and she worked at the head office? Mark wanted her to attend Julie's wake and funeral. Way too strange any way you look at it. What, when and how she knew we can only guess.
I do know the police went to her job to talk to her. It was then she had learned Mark was arrested. It was a Oh by the way did you know type thing.
And she had no reaction.

The only thing I'm confused about what you're saying is Julie died in 98, and Mark wasn't arrested until 2002. By 2002, she had to know it was coming. Once they discovered the antifreeze it was only a matter of time before he was arrested, letter or no letter.

It takes a really cold person to lay in bed beside someone night after night whose wife died under such mysterious circumstances (much less in the same bed where she died). Since we know the senior Jensens were in the know (high fives), it's really impossible to believe Kelly didn't know anything. It's just too convenient...The boy scout was presented to her with a bow around it....no one gets out of a marriage with kids that easily.

Who knows why CW closes a thread. I was over there for about 3 wks and never understood why she closed a thread. To me the only way a thread should be closed is... If lies are being told & bashing other posters. If CW would reign in the ones who are making trouble and acting like children, she would have a place where you could acually discuss topics!!!

Are you cheddar or swiss? JK I live in Louisiana and I gotta go for the Saints, Cowboys, Colts, Giants, Bears, Packers and.........all the others that I don't have time to mention. Just an old football loving fool. I do have to really back the Saints ('aints) because of where I live and they are really trying hard to win a few games.

Hi, Bayou Lass. Your mentioning the Saints really brings back memories for me. We lived in La Crosse, WI, where the Saints had their training camp way back when. My husband and I had a Dixieland band, and we were hired to welcome the Saints. It was about a 100 degrees that day. David was not yet a year old. Julie felt Mark did not love her since David was born. Julie worked at a place in Illinois with Perry. They were "work friends". Perry was going through a divorce and he took Julie along to meet his Attny..
So at this point Julie was looking into divorce. Later on Mark went out of town and Julie invited Perry over for the weekend. Perry spent Fri.& Sat. nights and left Sun.. The following week Julie just did not return to her job. She did not notify anyone that she quit. As Perry said she never returned. He had no idea why. How Mark learned about Julie's affair we don't know. We do know Julie did tell him she wanted a divorce and he responded with "If you go through with it,I will see to it you will never see David ever again". So as we know Julie never went through with it. Maybe at this point she came clean to Mark about her affair. Within a month of Julie's affair with Perry, Perry was transferred to one of the Carolina's. All of a sudden the photos and harrassing phone calls started. Mark convincing Julie it was Perry doing it. Yet Julie never called her former job to talk to Perry till years later. Way later on the Jensen's hired a PI to figure out who was doing it. The police had put a trace on the Jensen's home phone three times. Each time--Julie because of her affair did not want to keep anything from Mark and so she told him whenever the trace was put onto their phone. The last time the police begged Julie not to tell him and she did. Of course during those times there were no phone calls received and no pictures found. Years later Perry hears through the office grapevine that he is under investigation and what for. So he wrote Julie a letter a nice letter. Two days after he mailed it the police called him. Perry told the police that he had no contact with Julie at all. He never called her and he never went back to her home and he had the upmost respect for Julie. However Perry did not tell the police that he just mailed a letter to her to her brothers home. So now Julie's sister in law receives the letter in her mailbox and she called Julie to come over. So Julie goes there and now she explains her affair to them. They didn't know about it at all. Now remember Mark has been leaving the picures around and all that. So Julie calls the police over and gives them the letter from Perry "See it is him".
So the police mail Perry a ticket for harrassment. Perry never paid it. The Kenosha DA's "took care of it and made it go away"
So thats it in a nutshell. I need a drink. I'll be right back.

Question for locals,
Does anyone know if the Asian teenaged girl with the Caucasian dark haired mom at trial on the day of the verdict is the same little girl seen playing with David and Douglas in the family photos (and on 20/20)...She appears to be David's age or a few years younger.

JCC, I don't know how you would find out about a rerun. They never list what they are going to have in our guides. I guess maybe check their website every week. I thought I read that "48 Hours" was going to do a show on this, too, but I don't know when it will be on. I'm sure someone will post it.

Bambam, why did you disconnect your cable? We have cable and have NEVER had any problems with it. I always see people with satellite saying it doesn't work when there are storms or lots of rain, so I'm really sceptical of satellite service.

We can keep an eye out for the 20/20 rerun...With DirectTV, you can click on the info button, and sometimes it comes up that way.

I just finished watching it on the Comcast site and was really impressed. I think they did an excellent job of editing it. They covered all the major players and the developments in the case. The segments with both Ed and Dillard were very well done. The only thing missing was really a one on one with Albee (either before or after the verdict). But I was thrilled to see Jambois with the rat mug...and they did capture some of the finer trial moments.

I was taken by the transformation in both Julie and Kelly the more years they spent with Mark. With Julie, she was always a lovely woman, but you could see the effect in her eyes of the years of terror. With Kelly, the high point was obviously before he was charged and still working as a stock broker. She sure has come down the ladder. I'm curious as to how big Kelly is...She looks like a size 14 on top and 8 on bottom.

You guys really love that old southern boy don't ya? Personally, I think he is/was an awsome quaterback. Hate to see him go because I loved to watch him after he made a great play or threw a touchdown.Just got back this evening and had to post a reply, Favre was a great quarterback to watch, he will be missed. We have had Brett news on all day here in Wisconsin.

We had to go to the basement of the courthouse because of tornado alert. Was not fun. Lots of records stored down there. It looked like a jail for files. Keep Safe

Awww - they should have let you browse the records - that might have made the tornado alert fun!

Me - I always live in earthquake country - no warnings for those! Although now I'm by a few volcanos, they think they may be able to someday predict them.

Ok, I'm back. They've downgraded us to a severe thunderstorm warning with expected 60 mph winds. Seems our worst weather will be from midnight til 4 a.m. It looks like the tornado that was spotted is a little southwest from me. Phew! Not sure if it touched down or not, I'll find out with the 10 o'clock news I guess.

Heck! I was hoping more soap opera type stuff would happen while that camera was left rolling. Now that would have been hysterical. I can't believe how long ago that was now. And I never did get any snow either. Back then I kept begging for the midwesterners to send some this way, but noooo, they kept it all for themselves pretty much. Good Morning!

J Juror, I was catching up reading some posts that I'd missed and see that you were one of the original Guilty's. Welcome aboard. I was sold in those first days when all the computer evidence was put forth with the searches and emails, etc. It was pretty clear who the user of the computer was, and everything else just fit around it. Then there was the fact he didn't take her to the hospital, lied about going to work, and kept the kids in the car while he went into find her. There sure was a lot more the prosecutation had to add to it, but any time there was a point of contention, I just came back to that small handful of things that clearly pointed to guilt.

I have to say I was really surprised to hear that only 5 voted Guilty first time around. I'm assuming it was the five of you who were able to keep bringing forth the evidence that logically pointed to quilty.

I was a little surprised to hear the reasons given by the two who voted NG first time around.... one said it was because she sees good in people and couldn't believe anyone could do that... couldn't imagine her own husband doing it. And the other who couldn't imagine herself staying in a situation where she believed she might be in danger. Neither of those reasons had anything to do with the hard evidence in the case. They were based on their personal feelings. It is is just interesting to me how different people think... the processes they go through. There was just so much EVIDENCE pointing to Guilt.... I'm glad everyone finally saw it! Good work!

Oh... and that call from Mr. Mangi... even though it wasn't a major piece of evidence, it sure did show what kind of a mind MJ had. He was cracking sick jokes while his wife lay dying. Sick, sick man.

man the cop was so pissed, he first told me i was going to jail for excibition (sp) of speed. then he let me just go home. the ticket cost just under $700.00. i'll never do that again.

Robert Jambois, who prosecuted the Jensen case, agreed that if the U.S. Supreme Court throws out the California conviction, it will increase the likelihood the Jensen case will have to be retried. But it depends on how broadly the panel rules, he said.

Thanks bam. Lovelaw I know is concerned about this as well. But I think it will hold.

i was coming home from my mom's house down in the SF bay. it was about 2 in the morning and the freeway was wide open. i had just got this new little volvo and it just kept speeding up.

man the cop was so pissed, he first told me i was going to jail for excibition (sp) of speed. then he let me just go home. the ticket cost just under $700.00. i'll never do that again.

Did you know that MJ looked up Volvo's on his computer? Kelly's ex Mark Grieman drove a Volvo. I wonder what MG is thinking of about all this with his ex Kelly?

When Rhonda Mitchell was first on the stand. They had the huge charts of most words looked up. Volvo was on it--don't remember how many hits. But then he also looked up pipe bombs. Don't know where he was going with that.

Question for J Juror...

In the beginning of the trial, most on the boards here were not impressed with Mrs. Gabrielle when she would do the questioning of a witness. Over time she seemed to get better, but I'm just wondering how you viewed her earlier in the trial.

We all thought this was her first case. She does look much younger than she is. But then she really did not have to go hard on any witnesses she had to question. I thought she could be a wolf in sheeps clothing if needed. We just didn't see it in this trial. In this trial our eyes met a lot and we rolled our eyes at the same stuff.

I felt bad for Ms. Gabrielle because people assumed she was a young-un when she's actually an experienced prosecutor in her own right...I think she first-chaired the Trang Tran trial which was shown on CourtTV and did an admirable job and won a conviction (where there was a very sympathetic defense).

It's got to be hard to step in and handle witnesses when you're not running the whole trial yourself...and she does seem to be more of a thinker than a talker... I think she was used very strategically on direct exam of Kelly Jensen...Kelly seemed so much more putrid by comparison with Ms. Gabrielle....If Jammy had done that examination, he would have had to back off so hard to avoid looking like a bad guy/beating up on the witness....But Ms. Gabrielle was quite adroit at it.

Does anyone know if there a law concerning how long a defendant can have his case unheard because of a busy lawyer? State-to-state or is it under some federal legal something. Wouldn't most guilty people want to delay the event? We have a right to a speedy trial why can't we as "viewers" have a right to a speedy trial without delay because of some busy lawyer? :kidding-01: I

With Fidler on the bench; I doubt it can go on long. A tentative trial date was set way back when; and Plourd tried to get out of that; if I remember correctly. Or should I say; he tried to get it delayed. Fidler said No. Plourd knows this case is due to go to trial; so I can't see the judge letting him delay for any length of time.

And may I say; I'm anxiously awaiting to see the good Judge again. He's gorgeous!!!

I found this trial it's in the UP of MI.

http://www.wluctv6.com/news/content.aspx?id=101147

It's not being broadcast 'live' but they do have 57 minutes
of the pros OS. I downloaded it to realplayer so I can have
a larger viewing screen.

There are clips of witnesses. I do not understand, after all
these years, why there are cameras in a courtroom (obviously) but no 'live' coverage.
