Just finished reading The Darkest Evening of the Year.

I couldn't read it fast enough, but then I got to the end and was disappointed.

I love his books. Isn't his name a pseudo for another name? I know Stephen King publishes book in his real name and another one, though I can't remember what that name is. Regardless, I love Koontz's books. Without telling the ending, how was it a let down?

Koontz is a pseudonym or has one? I've never heard that!!!! Oh my, that might open up a-whole-nother series of books I'll have to read!

King's pseudonym is/was Richard Bachman.

Thanks! I read books under both names and they are usually very good.

I'm not sure - I'm still trying to figure it out. It just seemed like something was missing from the ending.

Maybe it's just me.

No you aren't the only one, I loved it til the last few pages. I just don't think he had done enough, to set up the ending he used. There were alot of things I would have accepted for the ending, but I just don't think he sold me on the ending he used, which is a shame, since other then the ending it was just a wonderful book that I loved, the journey was great I just wasn't really impressed with the destination.

I just had to add my two cents.............he is my favorite author! His women are usually so strong. His love stories are rich and fulfilling. Individuals who are complete because of their relationship. His web site is well worth visiting. Noah, if you haven't already go to his site and read his tribute to his golden retriever Trixie, who died about 6 months ago. It will bring tears to your eyes. He and his wife were devoted to that dog. They are generous contributors to an organization that provides service companions to the disabled. I just think that proves what a wonderful human being he is and it shows in his work.

Starting The Husband. Heard it was good. Picking up books from the flea markets so they are not the latest but I'm working my way there.

Anyone reading the "Odd" Thomas books?

I just read "Odd Thomas" - excellent.

I just started reading "Forever Odd" - already excellent!

Have "Odd Hours" on my shelf - can't wait!!

AND I ordered another "Odd" book, but can't remember the name of it.

There's 4 of them and you must read them in the right sequence. :INhouseReading04:

I am a Koontz fanatic. I swear I probably own at least 30 of his books. Mind you I wait until they are out in paperback before I buy them. Right now I am reading ShadowFires.

I have read all the Odd Thomas books, except for the last one. Waiting for it to go to softback. LOL
