Vital Statistics at Time of Disappearance
Missing Since: July 27, 2007 from Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Classification: Endangered Missing
Age: 44 years old
Height and Weight: 5'2, 109 pounds
Distinguishing Characteristics: Caucasian female. Blonde hair, blue eyes.
Clothing/Jewelry Description: A white short-sleeved or sleeveless shirt, and dark blue jeans.

Details of Disappearance
Green was last seen in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on July 27, 2007. She was driving a silver 2000 Dodge Ram pickup truck with Alabama license plates numbered 63V444G at the time. She has never been heard from again. Two weeks after Green's disappearance, an off-duty police officer found her truck abandoned at a grocery store in the 4400 block of University Boulevard east in Tuscaloosa. Surveillance cameras at the store show that Green made a purchase there at 9:30 p.m. on the day of her disappearance.
It is uncharacteristic of Green to leave without warning or to be out of touch with her family. She had worked at Randall-Reilly Publishing Co. for almost two years prior to her disappearance, and is described as a reliable employee. She put in for vacation time from work shortly before she disappeared; she planned to travel to Panama with her young son in August 2007. All of Green's belongings, including her clothing and money, were left behind. Her disappearance remains unsolved.

Tuscaloosa Police found Lisa Ann Green’s pickup truck in the parking lot of the five points Food World in Cottondale. She was reported missing by her family two weeks ago Friday.

Randall-Reilly publishing, which is where Green worked, is offering a $1,000 reward for information about or the safe return of Lisa Ann Green.

Investigators say they’re following up on numerous tips and are being assisted by other agencies, but say that more information is still needed.

“At this point we don’t have a lot of information,” says Tuscaloosa Police Captain Greg Kosloff. “Certainly our hopes are that she is still in Tuscaloosa and certainly somebody has some information that will give us what we’re looking for in a safe recovery.”

Police release image of missing woman

Published Monday, October 8, 2007
By Stephanie Taylor
Staff Writer

TUSCALOOSA | More than two months after she was reported missing, investigators have released an image showing Lisa Ann Green at a grocery store the night she disappeared.

The image is from a video taken at a grocery store in the Five Points area of Tuscaloosa. An off-duty police officer found Green’s 2000 extended-cab Dodge Ram pickup in the parking lot on Aug. 4.

“She enters and exits the store with no incident," said Capt. Loyd Baker, commander of the Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit. “We don’t know if something happened after she left, or if she left on her own free will with someone."

Baker said that Green, 44, made a purchase, but it wasn’t a full load of groceries.

Green worked in the telemarketing and recruiting departments at Randall-Reilly Publishing Co. for nearly two years. Her family last saw her on Friday, July 27, at her apartment in the 4800 block of Cypress Creek Avenue.

She had plans to meet a friend at the Vieux Carre Lounge in McFarland Mall to talk about a fundraiser that she was helping plan for the following Saturday.

She called her father at 8:20 p.m. and said that she was on her way to pick up her 13-year-old son. She never showed up.

Surveillance footage from the grocery store, which Baker declined to name, shows her shopping at 9:30 p.m.

Randall-Reilly has offered a $5,000 reward for anyone who provides information about Green’s location.

She is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs about 110 pounds.

Anyone with information regarding Green’s whereabouts is asked to call the Tuscaloosa Police Department at 205-349-2121 or Crime Stoppers at 205-752-7867.

Volunteers to search for missing woman

TUSCALOOSA | Volunteers will comb areas of Tuscaloosa County this morning where they believe they might find evidence or remains of Lisa Ann Green.

Members of the nonprofit mounted search and recovery team Texas EquuSearch will work with volunteers from Randall-Reilly Publishing, where Green, who disappeared in late July, worked.

'If nobody searches for Lisa, she'll probably never be found,' said organization founder and director Tim Miller. His organization has been involved in more than 870 searches in the last eight years, he said, including the search for missing Mountain Brook teen Natalee Holloway in Aruba.

Holloway's mother, Beth Holloway Twitty, had plans to join searchers this morning. Miller was reluctant to say where the volunteers would search, for fear that someone may tamper with or move evidence.

Investigators are still unclear about the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.

'We don't know what happened to her, but we must consider all possibilities, including foul play,' said Capt. Loyd Baker, commander of the Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit.

She was last seen at an apartment on Cypress Avenue. A co-worker said that she had plans to meet a friend at the Vieux Carre bar on Skyland Boulevard to discuss a fundraiser she was planning.

She called her father at 8:20 p.m. to say she was on her way to pick up her son but never showed up.

An off-duty police officer found her 2000 Dodge Ram extended-cab pickup in the parking lot of Food World on University Boulevard East, in the Five Points area.

'We welcome the assistance that the search teams can bring us,' Baker said. 'We are trying to focus their efforts in the areas we feel will mostly likely reveal evidence.'

Miller said about a dozen volunteers from Houston will join volunteers from Randall-Reilly and the community at 8:30 a.m. today at Randall-Reilly's offices, where they will board buses to the area to be searched. Miller said that the Texas volunteers may search on horseback.

'We've had a tremendous amount of success,' he said of the organization he founded in 2000 after his daughter Laura was abducted and murdered. 'There's a lot of strength in numbers.'

The organization has found the remains of 81 victims, at least 35 of which Miller said would not have been found without the organization's efforts. EquuSearch has also helped locate missing people and return them home.

Searchers will meet at Randall-Reilly's American Impact Marketing building on next to a self-storage facility on Rice Mine Road at 8:30 a.m.

Miller said that volunteers are needed to help with the ground search, as well as help hand out food and water to the searchers.

It seems confusing that she called at 8:20 saying she'd pick her son up, but didn't show up and then was at the store at 9:30. Could someone have been with her and had her go into the store? But then someone said she was last seen at an apartment?

I wish them the very best outcome for the search.

Volunteers came up empty-handed after searching most of Saturday for Lisa Ann Green, a Tuscaloosa woman who disappeared in July.

“We didn’t come up with anything yet. But we now know where she’s not, so we feel it’s been successful,” said Tim Miller, founder of Texas EquuSearch, the nonprofit organization that led the search.

Miller, reached by phone as the volunteers were ending their day at Antioch Church, said about 80 ground searchers worked with the Tuscaloosa Police Department and Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office to search the county around Peques Creek Road and County Road 59 from 8:30 a.m. until about 5 p.m. They also used four-wheelers and the Tuscaloosa police helicopter.

The search was expected to continue, and could include horses, today.

Volunteers depart for missing-person search

Searchers hoping to find Lisa Ann Green gathered outside the missing woman’s workplace under a gloomy, rain-threatening sky early Saturday morning.

Driver Bob Bliven, from left, and Randy Burgess stand near the Boys and Girls Clubs bus in front of Randall-Reilly Publishing Co. on Rice Mine Road in Tuscaloosa as volunteers prepared to search for Lisa Ann Green on Saturday.

“I’m convinced God is going to give us his favor,” said Mike Reilly, president and CEO of Randall-Reilly Publishing Co., where Green worked in the driver employment division until she disappeared last July.

The sky continued to threaten rain as the buses and vans lined up to take volunteers to a rural area north of Brookwood where they hope to find Green or more evidence about what happened to her.

Reilly and other volunteers said rain wouldn’t deter them from their search, though Reilly said they would defer to the judgment of police and the Texas EquuSearch Volunteer Search and Recovery Team that is leading the effort.

“People are not disposable. If someone in our family is missing, we’re going to look for them until we find them,” Reilly said.

Green’s parents, G.C. and Ann Skipper, were also preparing for the search at Randall- Reilly. An estimated 200 people had signed up for the search just before 8 Saturday morning.

Ann Skipper said Green’s 16-year-old son was too young to go out into the woods with the volunteers, though he has been involved with effort. The Skippers have become the legal guardian of the boy, whose father died when he was young.

Green last spoke to family members on the evening of July 27. She was filmed that night at a grocery store in the Five Points area, where her truck was also found.

She was 44 at the time.

Ann Skipper described her mood as “very apprehensive,” because she wants to know what happened, but she doesn’t want the likelihood that her daughter is dead to be confirmed. “And not only find out what happened, but find out who did it,” she said.

Volunteers previously searched the County Road 59 area on March 29 and 30.

Randall Reilly is offering a $20,000 reward for information about Green’s whereabouts.

It doesn't look as though Lisa has bought anything in the photo. I wonder what the surveillance photo showed inside the store. Maybe she cashed a check for money and some one was forcing her to do it.

Lisa Ann Green Search

Reported by: Nicole Wyatt (http://www.helpfindthemissing.org/content/bios/nwyatt.aspx)
Last Update: 5:35 pm

It's two years to the day since Lisa Ann Green went missing. The mother of a now 17 year old boy was last seen around 9:30pm at a Food World store on July 27, 2007. Tips have come in, sightings have been reported, and Texas Equusearch has even come to town, but still, no Lisa. Leaving her father with little hope she's still living. "I don't think she's alive after two years and absolutely no activity whatsoever, its not likely," says G.C. Skipper.
Just days after her disappearance, Lisa's vehicle was found outside a Cottondale supermarket. Surveillance video from inside the store was able to show investigators what she was last wearing, but evidence outside leaves them to believe she never made it back to her car.
"Something apparently happened between the time she went out the front door before she made it to her truck so that's the time in question," says Captain Loyd Baker with Tuscaloosa Metro Homicide.
Now all Lisa’s dad can hope for is that the person with that answer would speak up.
"Somebody knows what happened to her and they've just not come forward for whatever reason but I wish they would because we'd like to put this to an end," says Skipper.
A $35,000 reward is still up for grabs for information leading to Lisa.
