GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo.—Garfield County authorities are working to learn the identity of a man who was found dead inside a cave east of Glenwood Springs.
Sheriff's office spokeswoman Tanny McGinnis says climbers found the body Saturday east of the No Name Tunnel along Interstate 70.
McGinnis says it appears the man had been living in the cave, and that he had been dead for several weeks.
County search and rescue crews retrieved the body from the cave.
McGinnis says there's no indication of foul play, but the cause of death has not been determined.

From the vague discription it sounds like it could be the guy who throws rock at you who has been living in Cave of the Clouds. Thanks for posting this Lynn

Here is another story about the guy. He went by the name Paul McCartney. It sure sounds like the same guy.

Its always a shame to hear of anyone's death. Even a homeless guy has family somewhere.
I don't think anyone knows if it's the same guy who would throw rocks at people and claims to be Paul McCartney. I certainly wouldn't trust anything written by the author of the latest article from the Denver Channel.com link. Wether it is or isn't, I hope this incident will bring some changes to the area. The entrance to Cave of the Clouds is always blocked with rocks and sticks that were carefully stacked by the homeless guy. The cave that he lives in above Cave of the Clouds is also blocked and even has a wooden door with a lock. Both of the blockages prevent bats from entering the caves. I was confronted by the guy last year. He was pretty scary looking and he made us put his rocks back after we left the cave. Maybe now would be a good time to visit Cave of the Clouds to re-open it. If it stays open, maybe it was Paul McCartney.
It would be nice to know which cave it was. Surely that would be some kind of health issue. Hopefully it wasn't Cave of the Clouds. That's where he would collect his water. Maybe that water wasn't so good.

Matt,
From the article it sounds like the people that found him are going to put up a plack at the cave. That will be a tell tale sign of which one it was. Condonances to the homeless man.......I too hate to see this kind of thing happen. In case it wasn't Paul who died, you might want to bring your baseball glove to catch "falling" rocks with.
See you next Wednesday?
