i'm no fonder of PETA than i am of the olsen twins & when it comes to killing animals, i'm betting PETA is responsible for way more deaths.:puke:

yeah I dislike PETA, but these two are rich enough to know better... guess that's why we never see one of them with a posh little pet! They rather wear em! *gag*

Hi Maryhaze,

Just wondering your reason(s) for the "...betting PETA is responsible for way more deaths.". "Deaths" of humans?:0009: I know next to nothing about PETA, but thought it was all about saving/helping animals. They do use some scary tactics/actions to make their point.IMHO

Any chance the twins are wearing faux fur? I luv the fakes.:girl_haha: Have several.

WARNING :attention: WARNING The video turns very graphic after about 2 min.

i'll have to see if i can find the exact details, but check out these sites, petakillsanimals.com & consumerfreedom.com just type in PETA & get a barf bag. the so-call president, ingrid newkirk wants to exterminate pits because she was bit by one & one of her cronies says "any animal, no matter how well kept, is nothing more than a well-kept slave." these people want to see all animals just returned to the wild. if i even tried it, i couldn't get my dogs off the front step. these people are fanatics who give legitimate rescuers a really bad name.:puke:

Thanks Maryhaze,
Plan to educate myself after dinner time chores.:INhouseReading04:

(Have been concerned for several yrs re what is approaching mass hysteria about the Pitbull. So grateful GibClown started the Pit thread. Just perused the pics PatC posted. I've never lived with a PB (that I know of)), but have known several well. All wonderful!)

:(My barf bag wasn't large enough:( IMO, the PETA people misrepresent their organization when appealing to the general public. So relieved now that I have never donated. I wonder how much money they've collected from well-meaning, duped animal lovers.
What "wild" are they talking about? Not enough "wild" left to sustain what wildlife remains. Many species won't survive. (Too horrific for an icon.)

Thank you for alerting me to this fiction.

What I know of PETA just horrifies me.

Yeah, they want the animals returned to the wild. Well, I don't know about you, but would our pets survive in the wild?

I think that since we domesticated these animals, we owe them. All the puppies and kitties in the world depend on us for the most part. The ones that live on the streets need our help.

I wouldn't give the time of day to a PETA rep. Seriously, and I'm an animal lover.

They have collected millions.. They started out with good intentions.. Then I think they found out how much money they could make and that became their prime objective. They are not for the animals anymore, they are for lining their pockets.

http://www.petakillsanimals.com/Trial.cfm

This page goes through the trial of the people who came to a shelter and took healthy erfect adoptable dogs and killed them before dumping them in a dumpster.

i have parrots & that's a real big no no to those idiots. problem is these guys can't be returned either, they'll die. not to mention they won't exactly blend with the native birds because of their swearing! (don't know where they learned that, honestly:innocent1:)

My BIL has draft horses and runs a carriage service. He's constantly harassed by PETA. He's asked them if they've ever seen wild horses and how they suffer.

PETA... I've got no time for them.
