Since yesterday's thread is almost 70 pages long, I tho't I'd start a new one for today.

I have to be in and out today, but I'll try to keep up. :z0tdntknw:

i got pm'd from an admistrator here not to do so until there are 800 posts.

but i do think there should be a daily thread to this trial, regardless of how many posts per thread. jmo

You got Pmd by a moderator, T2W.

I said Adm has asked that we let a thread run to 800 before posting another one.

Since you're over 700 now, and two of you have started a new one, we'll let this one stand and close the other.

Have a great day, everyone. :0012:

why in the world would you do that (lift body into truck)? "I don't know". Truly frightening.

TigressPen

This is just so unbelieveable and heartbreaking. Isam said he didn't really believe JP had killed Daniel Sorenson - guess he went to see. God only knows.

But, why didn't he become all concerned about knowing before the murder and contact someone. Tell his parents. Something!! Instead he went there and helped load the body and took off his clothes and gave them to JP. I wonder what he'd have told cop if he'd been pulled over wearing only undershorts and Tee...

Very!!! Look at that innocent look of JP's. I stated on other thread that I read he had a brother. Yesterday, I saw a young man sitting in court and he, too, had dark hair. Couldn't really tell if he had big eyes like JP. I wonder if he is the brother.

In one statement secretly videorecorded in Canton Township, Letkemann told officers he was shocked when Orlewicz jumped Sorenson from behind and slit his throat.

"Dan asked something like, 'Why?' He was like whispering something," Letkemann said in a recording played Friday in court. "JP said, 'I know man. Just let it take over. Let it take over.' "

i keep coming back to something my husband told me along time ago.

i don't even know how this came into our conversation but he told me that his father told him something like this when he was a teenager "son sometimes you might have some dark thoughts violenence or evil. when you have those thoughts just know that it is not who you are and change your thoughts to something peaceful and of beauty" something like that anyway. my FIL kept a very close relationship with all 3 of his sons esp during the teen years.

my husband keeps both of our boys very close too.

so i wonder if young teenage males maybe because of hormones video games movies and lack of a father involved in there lives that they can do these kinds of things.

because girls as caty and mean as they can be during teen years they don't do these kinds of horrific murders not that i have ever heard of anyway.

I'll go there with you Tigress~the fear he might lose his immunity. I don't think he gave a flying flip this guy was killed or the fact he helped move a DEAD body. He fears only for himself. He went home, went to his room, put on clean clothes and drve his sister to her class. I AGREE!

I remember that statement too!! It is CREEPY, and disgusting! It really shows his mindset.

I wonder if drugs were involved that day. I am thinking it is very possible.

One of Letkemann's friends said he was shocked and didn't believe Letkemann could do such as he was accused but also said "We kind of drifted apart because he got involved in some stuff I didn't want to. He seems wild and like he would do some crazy things, but nothing like killing someone. It seems impossible to believe."

Hey Mz Kindee, do you get "gut feelings" of people right off the bat and find out later your intuition was spot on?

I like to think so---I'm just looking or listening for some remorse from this guy and I'm not seeing any. Maybe his emotions have been flattened by the material he is having to report and discuss so he is removing himself from it emotionally, but he looks sullen and irritated to have to be here.

But I know a lot of boys like this---sometimes it's a show, as one of you said, to look tough and badazz. Really they are babies inside. I'd have to know more.

But JP there is trying to cry and can't muster a tear. I think it's no mistake the two of them (and more) got together. Birds of a feather and all that.

I have a question for you love.

If this kid (on the stand) was wearing a ball cap on backwards, a tank top that showed a skull tatoo all over his arms, and his baggy jeans down to his knees, would your opinion of him being a unwitting participant vary any?

Good question!

His looks influenced me IMMEDIATELY! But, honestly, it is his testimony that has me considering his level of involvement, and his willingness in his participation.

Cross may change my opinion.

HMMMMMM that is very interesting. Plus, when I heard his parents' oblivious denial at that presser it was clear they didn't really know WHAT their son was doing nor was capable of. Psychopaths are very good at keeping their "real" life separate from the one they present to people. Even Ann Rule didn't know what the real Ted Bundy was like and she worked with him.

I'll go there with you Tigress~the fear he might lose his immunity. I don't think he gave a flying flip this guy was killed or the fact he helped move a DEAD body. He fears only for himself. He went home, went to his room, put on clean clothes and drve his sister to her class. If he had any emotions, he would have been puking has head off and not been able to nonchalantly and calmly drive his sister to her class.

I'm with y'all so far. I'm kind of concerned he's going to get complete immunity and be free to walk our streets. I hope he gets lots and lots of therapy, and that his parents don't just excuse his behavior as "boys will be boys" and peer pressure and such. If he wasn't troubled before, he is after this little foray into the world of murder.

He stated that when JP called and told him he didn't believe JP. But, I do still feel this young man has shown remorse for his actions. I don't know if it's remorse that Daniel Sorenson is dead, just that he regrets being a part of this. Not because he was caught, but because he did what he did instead of saying no, I am not going to be a part of this after he saw JP had killed and beheaded DS.

And I am still mad he isn't going to spend time in jail for his actions. I hate immunity deals. Less time spent I can deal with, but immunity makes me angry in any murder case.

Caught up in their jobs, their golfing dates, their clubs, their public image, totally oblivious to their child's psychological development. Because they thought they had the appearance of being good in their circles, their children would too. Trusting they had raised their kids to do right and that the kids were doing just that. Maybe they were latchkey kids. Both parents working with no adult supervision in younger years gives kids to much of a notion of freedom to do as they please to me. And many times those parents (perhaps out of a sense of guilt for not being there more) allow that freedom... But, this kid called his mom and asked permission to use the car. So, that says something for the parents.
