Forensic Investigators Hope Facial Recreation From Human Skull Leads to ID

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - In August 1986, a human skull was discovered in the area of Still Creek Road, about one mile south of Government Camp, on Mt. Hood. At the time of this discovery, forensic investigators estimated this human skull may have been at this location for a considerably long period of time- potentially up to 10-years; possibly dating back to 1976.

In March 2008, Nici Vance, a forensic scientist with the Oregon State Police Forensic Crime Lab, in Portland, determined this skull is that of a young female; probably in her late teens or early twenties.

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Homicide & Violent Crimes Unit took possession of this human skull in March, 2008.

At this time, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, Forensic Artist Joyce Nagy, began a forensic reconstruction of this human skull; which was both challenging and difficult -- the skull was discovered missing the jaw bones and teeth.

It is readily apparent the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office has very limited investigative lead information available to convey to the public related to the discovery of this human skull; however, with the release of this combined forensic data and forensic reconstruction image, perhaps someone will come forward and provide investigators with some relevant investigative "TIP".

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office is seeking information about this unidentified female and is requesting anyone who recognizes this person, has information about this person and the ongoing investigation, to please contact the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office tip line, (503) 723.4949 and/or Detective D. Calhoun (503) 722.6746.

I have studied the Green River cases for over 20 years and have read nearly everything out there on Gary Ridgway/the victims/locations, etc. It is known that he took some of the victims remains to Oregon. Skulls, in particular. I have studied the face of Kassee Ann Lee. She was a 16 year-old girl. She was last seen on August 28, 1982 in the area of South 200th Street and 30th Avenue South. This area is just east of Pacific Highway South, King County, WA.

IMO the model looks like this photo of Kassee.

No :( I really don't have what it takes to do that. It's hard to explain, but I have a difficult time talking to people.

Terrific match! IMO. The authorities really need to be notified ASAP on this. If you don't want to maybe the most authoritative way to do it would be to have Pauli as HFTM founder to contact them as a representative of one of her members.

Unbelievable likeness IMO. That has to be one of the most accurate recreations I have ever seen. Regardless of whether or not this turns out to be a match, it is, and should be considered, a true testament to Nut44x4 and the due diligence she has done in this field IMO. :hifive:

With that said, and for what it's worth, thank you Nut for all you do and continue to do!! :11_2_104:

I wonder if a reward is offered for either of these cases. (Nut might be rich soon) I've never seen such a likeness match. Doesn't mean there will be a match, but I'm still taken aback.

Has Nut's "match-up" been sent to law enforcement? I certainly hope we hear something from this soon.

Again, great job Nut!
