Wonder why they still don't give his name, or did I miss it. Some nasty comments in the link.

That's a good question. I reason it to be because they have not yet notified the next of kin, but there may be other reasons.

The story covers two missing (not related in any other way). Some of the comments refer to another man, Anthony Drake, missing in the Gulf. People can appear to be cruel and unfeeling and say terrible thoughtless things.

The excerpts posted pertain to this missing crew member and the body found is believed to be him. Still awaiting confirmation of identity.

A search is underway 60 miles northwest of the Isles of Scilly for a French fisherman.

Falmouth Coastguard received a Mayday from the skipper of the 34 metre fishing vessel Tourmalet stating that one of their 7 crew had fallen overboard. A Rescue helicopter from RNAS Culdrose was scrambled and 5 French fishing vessels are assisting with the search, which is being coordinated by Falmouth Coastguard with the assistance of MRCC Corsen. A British warship is currently making its way to the scene to assist with the search.

Andy Cattrell, Watch Manager at Falmouth Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre, says:

We took the call at 7:32pm from the skipper of the fishing vessel informing us they had a man overboard. We are currently coordinating a thorough search of the area.

A search is continuing for a man who reportedly fell overboard from a French fishing vessel.

The alarm was raised at 1900 BST on Wednesday when the 25-year-old crewman of the Tourmalet was reported missing 60 miles north west of the Scillies.

Falmouth Coastguards said the Royal Navy offshore patrol vessel HMS Tyne is co-ordinating the search involving five fishing vessels.

A coastguard spokesman said the search will probably be scaled down later.

A search and rescue helicopter from RNAS Culdrose carried out a search on Wednesday evening, but was forced to return to base when its fuel ran low.

The 34-metre (112ft) Tourmalet usually has a crew of seven.
