I think its cruel that this girl must live with being raped the rest of her life.As for him & im pro DP,let him live in general population for whatever the remainder of his life may be ,without parole.
This would never happen living in general population for the state is libal for his care, custody, control.

Quote from article above....

"It's going to be justice," said Lynn Ray, the victim's cousin. "It's going to be that she can look forwards and not backwards, and not have to look over your shoulders, and one day see him. Or see him coming after her."

Exactly!!!:zm10: IMO, no rapest deserves to live. Because once they do it, they will do it again and again and again. It's an illness they possess and will never go away.

You're much too kind, Kami. I don't see it as an illness. I see it as just plain evil.

It's definetly evil, but it's a sickness in their head. That no phsychiatrist, doctor or drugs will cure. Be gone with them. Useless to society.

"Boston Legal" aired a new episode last night which addressed this very issue, and the character, leftwing & fascinating lawyer Allen Shore, argued defensively in front of the Supreme Court (actual Supreme Court lookalikes were used) for the convicted rapist, a black man with an IQ of 70. The judgement of the Court was not rendered at the end of the episode. The subject was left for the viewer to debate with himself.

Very interesting......

Rapeing a child, molesting a child, incest;this is the product of EVIL. The psychological community wishes to close their eyes to 'evil;instead convienently comeing with all types of excuses.
The John Couy case last year.He kidnapped raped and buried Jessica Lundsfund alive. He had already been convicted of child rape. His attorneys tried in vain to get him off because he had a low IQ.He did know right from wrong. Thankfully the jury found him guilty and he is on FLORIDA'S Death Row.
Hi Kami
Mental illness is a direct result of evil.In the 1960's the US Supreme Court removed the 10 Commandments and prayer in the public schools.48 years later, today, society is awash with crime and drugs.
I am watching the first season of the "SOPRANOS.. I am watching this program from the position of psychology. Tony's affliation with the mafia, has infected his wife, children and other people. He goes to a psychiatrist;yet she never addresses the issue that his crimminal activity is the underlying cause of his emotional/relationship problems/stress.
We have the capacity to make decisions.Decisions have consequences attached to them.
People are incarcarated for their conduct, actions and behavior;violating the civil rights of other people who want to lead law abideing peacefull lives..
Evil influence is all around us,we can not escape it;but we don't have to give into it either.

I don't much care what the IQ is...I will pull the switch. Rape a child...bye bye.

Hi Sumanadevii
I do agree with you about the IQ;as long as the person knows right from wrong and Couy does.He was able to avoid being arrested for a time.
I am still very angry that Cardinal Bernard Law( Roman Catholic Church) will never be tried in an American court of law;for his part of the priest/boy molestation scandal. He knew what was going on and did nothing to stop it.
He may escape american justice, that is incarcaration here on earth;but there is DIVINE JUSTICE awaiting him.

It made me sick to watch him in that courtroom coloring. I swear, if I could have come from my computer screen, I would have strangled him myself.

Hi Sumanadevii
The coloring book and pencils,I remember how angry I was when the defense attorney requested this and the prosecution's strong outraged disapproval;yet it backfired in the defense attorney's face. The jury also saw right through that entire 'sham'.
Another fact,if his IQ was so low,he would not be able to take part in his trial. When the judge asked him if he understood, the legal motions for not taking the stand,in his own defense;he was able to answer yes. A person with that low IQ would be unable to answer that question.

When I was on CTV's board,we were discussing this case.People were saying, including myself about how he could slip, fall and break his neck in the shower.Things like maybe they could give him a poisoned cup of coffee.
We really went 'full tilt' on that one.I was suprised that the MODS. didn't close the thread.
Talk to you again soon,Boscorelli
