The Bayfield County Sheriff’s Department is searching for a missing woman in the Bayview and Bayfield area, and in the adjacent waters of Lake Superior.
Nancy L. Jerabeck, 56, was last seen at her home in the town of Bayview Monday morning.
The sheriff’s department was called Monday evening after her family was unable to fine her.
Foul play is not suspected, but the matter is under investigation and the sheriff’s department is looking at all possible scenarios, according to a new release issued Wednesday.
The initial search was conducted by the Bayfield and Washburn fire departments, Coast Guard and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources personnel. The search has now been supplemented by the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Department Rescue Squad from Minnesota with remotely operated vehicles, aircraft from Ashland and dogs from Sunshine Service Dogs Inc.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Bayfield County Sheriff’s Department at (715) 373-6120.
