McSteamy and Meredith might be interesting, since both are afraid of commitment.

In a real hospital, though, I just don't beleive you'd see neurosurgeons sleeping with nurses, etc.

FYI Private Practice isn't cancelled. I think they just wanted to make sure that everyone stayed interested in the show or that new people might hop on over to it. I personally love PP but not as much as Greys.

Well last week when Izzie thought she was imagining that she saw Denny, and then at the end, he was real, so I am wondering:

1. Will Izzy have a nervous breakdown?
2. Is Denny real or memorex (or is this something like when Bobby on Dallas had the dream in the shower thing)?
3. Will Izzy somehow be written out of Grey's because she pizzed off the brass by saying the writing wasn't good and dissed her Emmy nomination last year?
4. McDreamy told McSteamy last week to leave Grey's sister alone
5. Hahn was taking out of the show because ABC got upset about the script between her and George's ex, so the writers said they couldn't take her character any further.
6. Frankly, I think they need to let George out of the closet.
7. I think Rose has been written totally off, as her character wasn't all that noticable.

Insider: T.R. Knight wants to leave `Grey's'

NEW YORK (AP) — A person with direct knowledge of the situation has confirmed that T.R. Knight has asked to be released from his contract with "Grey's Anatomy."

The actor, who plays Dr. George O'Malley, has asked to leave the ABC medical drama because he is unhappy with his storyline, the person said. Knight has three years left on his contract and the network has indicated they will release him, said the insider, who could not be identified because they were not authorized to discuss negotiation details

An ABC representative declined comment.

Entertainment Weekly magazine first reported news of Knight's request Tuesday in a posting at ew.com. Writer Michael Ausiello quoted a person at ABC who was not identified as saying that the show and "Grey's" creator Shonda Rhimes were prepared to let the 35-year-old actor go

I for one will be glad to see her go. I gave up on Izzie when she slept with George. Ms. Heigl has criticized her TV series as well as movies she has filmed and IMO seems ungrateful for her career and the opportunitites it has provided her. George, is returning to broadway and will not be back next season, read that at yahoo news. It is still up in the air if Lizzie will return.

Liver giver: Just as Meredith and Derek were settling into married life (sort of), Meredith was shocked when Lexie brought in their father, Thatcher, who had a failing liver as a result of years of alcoholism. He was desperately in need of a transplant and didn't qualify for a donor liver because he hadn't been sober long enough. Only a personal donation would suffice, and — wouldn't you know it — only Meredith was a match.

Because her relationship with her father has been so fraught (remember, he brutally blamed her for the death of her stepmother), Meredith was hesitant to sacrifice her liver for him. Lexie, on the other hand, adored her father and begged Meredith to save Thatcher for her sake. Meredith agreed, but Thatcher initially declined, insisting he couldn't put her in that position. But Meredith told Thatcher that she wanted him to survive for Lexie, not for herself, and he relented — leaving Meredith to a long period of recovery that will coincide nicely with Ellen Pompeo'shttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/2.gif (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33233952/ns/entertainment-television/#) maternity leave.

Desperate measures: Izzie has been unsteady on her feet since returning to work as a doctor living with cancer, but Owen let her help out with a patient who had recurrent abdominal tumors. Her personal experience was of significant comfort to him, but during the surgery, Owen discovered that his body was just too damaged. Izzie begged Owen to continue trying, arguing that people continued trying to save her, and he agreed. Unfortunately, the patient then died on the table during surgery, leaving Owen to lament the final months of life that the patient lost and to tell Izzie that she can't make her work as a doctor all about her experiences as a patient.




Young at heart: Ralph Waite (dad John of "The Waltons") showed up as an 82-year-old man with erectile dysfunction who was looking for a surgical implant to solve the problem. Mark was reluctant to help him out, but ultimately agreed — only to see the man's unsupportive family conclude that this was a sign that he was becoming irrational in his old age. They threatened to force him to move back in with them if he went ahead with what they considered a foolish operation. Mark gave them a talking-to about what's important in life and got them to back off, realizing at the same time that he's pretty happy with Lexie.

When it came time for the penile-impant surgery, Cristina blundered right into it before she even knew what kind of shaving job the pre-op process would involve. The patient came through surgery with flying colors, and his family even met his girlfriend. Cristina, frustrated, confronted the Chief about her lack of work. Reeling from that confrontation, the Chief recommitted himself to rebuilding the hospital and invited Callie back as an attending.
