This has stunned our entire community! One of the 'victims' was this teacher's own teenage daughter. I cannot imagine what this woman was thinking, or why she would throw away her life and that of her family. As far as LE can tell right now, she received no compensation such as money to do this, she's just a sick perverted person. The male that is being sought for the rape charges is my neighbor, and has been in trouble with the law since he was 8 years old.

Within the past couple of weeks, three female school teachers in the Ark-La-Tex have been arrested in connection with sex crimes involving their underage students. The latest on Friday involves a junior high school teacher from Magnolia, Arkansas. This case is perhaps the most bizarre of them all.
"In all my years, I've seen some horrible cases, but this one is the worst. It's truly bizarre."
Prosecuting Attorney David Butler says this case has stunned the small city of Magnolia and its junior High school. Well known teacher Donna Lou Sanders, a wife and mother, has been arrested in connection with six months of sexual activity involving 12 and 13 year old girls. But police say it doesn't appear Sanders was sexually involved in any of the cases.
According to the affidavit, Sanders would drive the 12 and 13 year old girls to either a hotel or deer camp and provide rooms for them to have sex with two underage boys and a 22 year old man they met on line through Facebook.
The affidavit goes on to say that Sanders sometimes just drove the teens around and permitted them to have sex in the back seat of the car as she drove.
The affidavit also says one of the girls was Donna Lou Sanders own teenage daughter. Authorities say as far as they can determine, Sanders husband was not aware any of this was going on.
Police are still searching for the 22 year old Dustin Lloyd Roland of Union County in connection with this case. In the meantime, Sanders has been transported out of state for a mental evaluation.
Sanders has been charged with 12 counts of permitting abuse, and 10 counts of accomplice to rape. Police say she also provided alcohol for the teenagers.
School officials wouldn't comment on the case, other than to say she has resigned.

It's bad enough to read about teachers in your community doing something like this, but when one of those being sought is your neighbor, it must be doubly upsetting, panda.

I'm anxious to hear what the parents of these girls have to say. Where did they think their 12 and 13 year olds were during those nights away from home? I have to wonder if the other girls were supposed to be spending the night at Sanders home with her daughter on the nights she was taking them to meet the men.

This whole thing just makes me sick, and to think that my neighbor was involved with raping these kids makes me see red!:mad:

I just don't get why a mother would do this to her child and other children, a teacher at that! I too wonder what the other parents have to say about this going on.

The latest I've heard is that she has been transfered from the county to a private mental facility. I would imagine that the need to get her out of town was strong. The whole south AR area is enraged by this news and everyone I know is on the look out for this 22 year old man that hasn't been found by LE.

I'm happy to report that my neighbor was arrested without incident yesterday by the sheriff's office and charged with rape of a child less than 14.

I wonder if his parents will put that up for him. They must be really humiliated by all this. Hopefully, they will let him sit it out in jail, unless they are enablers!

If and when he is released, they need to fit him with an ankle bracelet (gps) so police can keep track of him.

This is the latest in a long line of him being a law breaker. He's progressed over the years from mischief and vandalism to this terrible crime. His parents have always bailed him out or bought him out of trouble. I don't believe they can do that this time.

I did find out that the $25,000 bail was set for him in Columbia County where one of the crimes took place, but in Union County were the rapes took place has set his bail at $100,000. He's still sitting in jail as of this morning.

I don't think LE will make any deals with him to testify against the teacher since she has confessed to everything and they have the statements of the the 12 and 13 year olds which implicates both the teacher and Rowland.

One other thing to add to this story. Three or four months ago, we heard that there had been a shooting just across the road from us. Apparently, the young man who lives there is married to this Rowland's ex girlfriend. Anyway, Rowland went to their home while the husband was at work, broke in and proceeded to beat the crap outta her. The husband came home during this and shot Rowland in the side with a .22 handgun.

Rowland ran from the house and the cops picked him up at the emergency room where HIS MOTHER HAD TAKEN him to get him patched up. He got charged then with breaking and entering and battery, his Dad paid his bail and he was waiting to go to trial on that when he was arrested for these rapes.

Like I said, this guy is bad news and has been for most of his life.

Our local paper had an update on this case today, but I can't find anything on line to link to. Both Sanders and Rowland were back in court on Tuesday. The charges against the teacher have been amended but she is still facing 2 counts of accomplice to rape; 4 counts of permitting abuse of a child involving sexual activity, physical injury or death; 1 count of accomplice to sexual activity with a child; and 2 counts of accomplice of sexual assault in the 3rd degree.

She was in court trying to regain visitation rights with her 12 year old daughter (who was one of the children that she took to have sex older men). She was granted visitation rights at the discretion of her husband, the girl's father. The picture on the front page of the paper showed her and her husband arriving at court holding hands.

Her therapist, Dr. Edward Tobey of Brentwood Hospital in Texarkana recommended that she be granted the visitation with her daughter. Rowland, the 22 year old that has been charged with rape was in court to have an attorney appointed to him at the tax payers expense.:mad:

The judge said Sanders trial could possibly be set for January '09. God willing, I will be there EVERY day. I hope to find a link to this latest info and I'll post it here.

Former teacher gets 50-year sentence on charges

EL DORADO, Ark. (AP) - A judge sentenced a former Magnolia special education teacher to 50 years in prison Thursday on charges she arranged for 12- and 15-year-old girls to have sex.

Donna Lou Sanders, 47, of Magnolia, pleaded guilty Thursday to five counts of permitting abuse of a minor - with four counts in Union County and one count in Columbia County. Circuit Judge Larry Chandler sentenced her to 10 years on each charge, which each carried a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

Called to the stand during the hearing in Union County, Sanders said she felt remorse over what she did. She also told the courtroom that she hates what she did and doesn't know why she left the two girls with the men and boys.

Sanders resigned April 23 from her job at Magnolia Junior High School, the same day she was arrested after a parent had earlier notified the school superintendent of the allegations. The girls attend the junior high school but are not in special education classes.

A second adult, Dustin Lloyd Rowland of El Dorado, earlier was arrested for having sex with one of the girls. He is scheduled to stand trial in February.

Prosecutors say on April 5 and April 18, Sanders drove the two girls to El Dorado for them to have sex with Rowland and a 16-year-old male. Sanders got a hotel room, provided the minors with alcohol and permitted them to spend the night there.

The prosecutor say that Sanders also drove the 12-year-old girl on April 12 to El Dorado to spend the night with the 16-year-old boy.

In Columbia County, prosecutors say Sanders provided the 12-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy with alcohol and allowed them to have sexual intercourse in the back seat of her vehicle.

Under terms of her plea, Sanders will be eligible for parole serving about eight years.

I'm glad she pled guilty and was sentenced to 59 years, but I'm not happy to hear that she could be out in as few as 8 years. Maybe the parole board will take into account the terrible things she did and keep her in jail for the full 50.

I am just now reading about this case Panda and I am shocked this woman only received 59 years. Maybe when she comes up for parole, people will rally to keep her behind bars where she belongs!

You called it right last year with your very first post, this woman is nothing but a sexual pervert. She has no business around anyone under 18 years of age.
