12-Year-Old Boy Goes Missing In Las Cruces

LAS CRUCES -- Samuel Valdez, 12, has gone missing from his home in Las Cruces, said police Friday morning.

The New Mexico State University police department has reported that Valdez has been missing since Thursday evening.

Campus police issued a statement saying the 12-year-old boy who lives in family housing on NMSU's main campus left his home Thursday around 7 p.m. and was last seen with friends around 8 p.m.

It is not known Valdez ran away from home.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident
