LAS VEGAS — Retired NBA star Charles Barkley will face criminal charges if he doesn't repay a $400,000 gambling debt to a Las Vegas casino, a prosecutor said Thursday.

"We're in the process of sending Mr. Barkley notice that we're considering filing a criminal complaint," Clark County District Attorney David Roger said. "He'll have an opportunity like anybody else to make restitution to the hotel."

As a huge Charles Barkley fan, I hope that he repays whatever debt he owes asap, assuming he does indeed owe the Wynn.

I saw him on the news this morning. He said if he owes it, his mistake, and he'll pay it with no problem.

I respect him for owning up to it and taking care of his debt.

I've always been afraid that Charles has a gambling problem. I hope not, and hope that this is just a one time thing.:0009:

They said on the news that he has admitted (?) to a gambling problem in the past. I'm not a follower of basketball, so I only know what I hear. Can't verify it or anything.

I think he has said in the past that his gambling is only a problem if he can't afford it...or something to that effect. I do know the boy loves to gamble...
