Teen Who Walked Away From Home Missing
No Evidence of Foul Play Two Days After 17-Year-Old Fails to Return From Walk
By DAVID SCHOETZ
May 16, 2008
RSS High school junior Brittany Carrigg may have stormed out of her family's Georgia home Wednesday night after an argument.
Brittany Carrigg, a high school junior and volleyball player whose last day of school is exactly one week away, has not been seen or heard from since Wednesday night around 9:30 p.m., when she left the house to go for a walk.
(Haralson County Sheriff's Office)The 17-year-old also may have simply gone for an evening walk in the wooded area near the Alabama state line where she lives.
To the investigators, neighbors and family searching for her, it does not make much difference.
"It could have started out as someone who was upset with her parents and she left the house and then somebody took her," Jim Beck, a spokesman for the Haralson County Sheriff's Office, told ABC News as the search for Carrigg entered a second full day.
"The circumstance of how she left home doesn't necessarily foretell what happened next."

I think Brittany should have been charged also. Law Enforcement are to lenient on these runaway teens and I think they should charge them all. It would teach them a lesson. JMO.
