Did anyone see tonight's finale? I hope that Ziva doesn't end up going back home and the group stays together after all. It is going to be interesting next season seeing what happens.

I don't think we were ever really told, though I think Ducky eluded to it possibly being something to do with her brain and her motor skills, possibly MS?

I don't think it actually starts officially till September Pat. Those 2 episodes from the original NCIS were just a preview. According to wikipedia, it will be showing straight after NCIS on Tuesday nights.

The original NCIS was good- I felt Gibbs was just waiting for his team to decide enough is enough and go find Zeva- The way it all unfolded made me feel Gibbs children finally grew up-
I liked the new NCIS too- I smiled when it showed the Director speaking to them. I wonder if he will have more appearances in the future.

New episodes of NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles tonight - 7:00 and 8:00 PM (first two hours of prime time, time will vary by time zone.)

Ratings: NCIS Kicks Off Season with Explosive Numbers
A huge premiere for NCIS paved the way for CBS' biggest nightly audience since 1993.
NCIS tops our list of the most-anticipated returning shows
:happy0158:
Twenty million viewers tuned into NCIS, a 28 percent leap from last season's premiere. Spin-off NCIS: Los Angeles benefited from the lead-in, drawing an audience of 18.3 million viewers, a 23 percent improvement over The Mentalist's premiere in that spot a year ago.
The one-two punch of NCIS shows outperformed the other network's two-hour airings. The second night of Dancing with the Stars three-night premiere pulled in 15.2 million viewers for ABC, while NBC's Biggest Loser and Fox's Hell's Kitchen earned 7.5 million and 7 million viewers, respectively. On the CW, 90210 stayed even with 2.2 million viewers, while Melrose Place continued its decline with only 1.5 million viewers.

So I for some reason was under the impression, last night, that it came on at 9p. So I missed the first 15 minutes of it.
Then at 8:31pm comcast went all freaky and was digitalizing and choppy. This went on most of the night but did clear up a little around 8:49
I also watched (what I could) of the first 25 minutes of NCIS LA or whatever it is.
Have I mentioned how much I hate digital tv?? I never had issues when the tv plugged into the wall with a wire. Now that they switched to the digital converter (I don't have digital tv or satellite) I have problems and glitches all the time. Why would I want to pay more money for it? I don't. I want my cable cord back!!!

I think it is in the signal strength from CBS, even here, some days the sound is gone, the sound is there but no picture. Some days just a banner saying they are experiencing difficulties. This only happens on CBS.

A former Mossad agent, Ziva first appeared in Season 3, and ever since, has amused her team with her ability to mangle American colloquialisms. Take this quiz on Ziva's greatest misses and see if you have a better grip on all the familiar, yet curious phrases spoken in America.")

just watched a new episode, it is better and that stuff that you do it at night that begins with an S. sleep, snore, scratch, a stretch, or you add the one you like . The people, the plots, the personality , the interaction of the characters , I could go on forever and ever it is just amazing . My only regret is that I resemble Mr. Mark Harmon , and my only benefit is that my wife looks at me somewhat inquisitively, only when the show is airing . Maybe I should start building sailboats in my basement.:0t31:. As far as Ziva. is concerned, she was my childhood sweetheart, in my mind's altered eye . Anyone with expectations to spend time with her should consider the lawsuits from my ex-wife, although she doesn't know that yet. :0t31:

I watch on USA sometimes but can't miss the new episodes! Last night I was watching the NASCAR race. It sure sounds like you love all the characters and especially Gibbs!!! :girl_haha:

Oh, my 14 year old son got me hooked, of course he call's it the Abby Show!
I really was sorry to see Kate gone...but really like Ziva..Love McGee...Tony..
but Mark Harmon! What a doll..love the character, and have a lot of respect for him. He is married to Pam Dawber, and the two of them worked really hard to change laws after Rebecca Shaffer was brutally murdered. (she starred with Pam on My Sister Sam)
A great show...
And, Missing Lucas....Happy late Birthday...what a great gift!

I've been a watcher of NCIS since it started. That's because I'm a sucker for action-adventure shows, of which this is one. I'm not surprised that the girls go for Mark Harmon, a former football star (quarterback at UCLA, I believe).
I have my quarrels with NCIS. There is far too much reliance on stereotyping that doesn't really fit the situation. I don't think DiNozzo has to be a childish bully trlying to relive his fraternity days, I hate to see Sean Murray pretending to alternate between being a slow, geeky oaf, an unconvincing metrosexual (look it up), and a savvy computer genius with three degrees from M.I.T. I think Gibbs overdoes the head-slapping and the taciturnity, especially the former. But the stories are good, the interplay of the actors is excellent. The actors are very professional, not least of them David McCallum (a.k.a. Illya Kuryakin, of The Man from U.N.C.L.E.).
I missed Kate when she left (and still do). What I heard was that she was disgusted with having to wait around all day for the script to arrive. And when she quit, Mark Harmon put his foot down, and David Bellisario was pretty much forced to leave the writing to others, so that the scripts would arrive in time. Kate, who was born Suzana Drobnjaković, has done some acting since, and has married the son of Sophia Loren. Imagine having her for your mother-in-law!
Ziva (Cote de Pablo) was born in Chile, but raised in Miami. How does she manage to sound Israeli? Art or childhood learning? She studied music and theater at Carnegie Mellon University, a top technical school, like CalTech, but also offering a full array of majors. She graduated in 2000, and you may have heard her sing in NCIS. (She does well.) She doesn't have the looks that Caitlin had, but she does have something else that they share: the ability to sustain the drama created by the writers.
Although I'm sometimes a sucker for personalities (I'm in love with Buffy the Vampire Slayer), in NCIS what gets me is the drama. There is way too much flag-waving and military chauvinism in this and other dramatic series created by Donald Bellisario, too much "Semper Fi." But what can you expect from a man whose last name is that of the most famous general, under Emperor Justinian II, of the Eastern Roman Empire. Because of Bellisario's preachy militarism, the Navy seems very glad to lend its ships for Bellisario's camera.
Since Bellisario turned over his writing duties to other hands, there have certainly been some moments of high drama. And Ziva has been central, I think, to making them effective. When she returned to NCIS from her service to her father, for instance, she did a moving portrayal of a woman caught in the vise of her feelings. So was the time she killed her half-brother. She's not as pretty as Kate was, but she is given some wonderful situations, and she knows what to do with them.
I admire the abilities of Gibbs and Ducky, I could do without either McGee or DiNozzo as the characters are written, and I'm sorry as hell to lose Agent Lee, the law-specialist and double agent who used to boink Jimmy Palmer, as well as Lauren Holly (the former Director, made famous in Picket Fences).
"...who used to boink Jimmy Palmer, as well as Lauren Holly (the former Director, made famous in Picket Fences)."???? :thud2:

I see PatC has found me out. I sometimes have terrible syntactical slips, such as "[Agent Lee]...who used to boink Jimmy Palmer, as well as Lauren Holly (the former Director, made famous in Picket Fences)."???? No, Agent Lee did not boink Lauren Holly. At least not that I know of. I wouldn't mind dong it to either of them (but not Jimmy), but that was just a grammatical error.
Agent Lee is Filipino by ancestry (with some Spanish and CHinese), although she was born in the U.S. and speaks perfect English. Since her character was exposed (but just to the audience) as a spy on NCIS, she has appeared there only rarely. However, she has had a role on at least one other on-going series, so I may get to see her occasionally.
I seem to like chubby-cheeked girls, which may account for my attraction to her.

I'm sorry, Smokey, but I couldn't resist. Clearly, I knew what you meant but I see you do that so seldom I just had to tease you. The Debbil made me do it. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g258/PatC_pics/smilies/evil1.gif
I just noticed that our newest member is NCISAGENT. Maybe it's Gibbs, Dinozo, or McGee!! :basic44:
Whoever you really are, welcome to HFTM, NCISAGENT! :0012:

PatC is guilty of having said, "I'm sorry, Smokey." This is unacceptable. If she were truly a fan of NCIS, she would have known that one of Gibbs' firmest rules, often repeated, is "Don't apologize!"
So, PatC, don't let me hear that kind of talk from you again!
But do remind me when I transgress the rules of syntax. You've got a sharp eye!
