Amber Alert Issued for 3 Year Old California Boy

The California Highway Patrol issued the Amber Alert on Wednesday
afternoon after the boy was apparently abducted this morning. The suspect is accused of rape and other charges and is considered armed and
dangerous.


Aleksandr Olteanu white, 3 feet tall, weighing 35 pounds, with brown
hair and brown eyes.


The suspect is David Olteanu, a white male 5 feet 6 inches tall, with
brown hair and green eyes.


The suspect vehicle is a dark blue, 2007 Chrysler 300 with California
license plate 6DBR388.


Anyone with any information on this abduction is asked to call 911.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- An Amber Alert was sent out Wednesday afternoon for a 3-year-old boy, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department said.

His father abducted the boy, officials said.

The child, Alexsandr Olteanu, is described as white, with brown hair, brown eyes, about 3 feet tall and 35 pounds. He was last seen wearing a yellow T-shirt and underwear.

The suspect, David Olteanu, 28, is described as a white adult, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, with brown hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.

Olteanu's car is a 2007 dark blue Chrysler 300 with a California license plate No. 6DBR388.

The suspect may have several firearms in the vehicle, including an assault rifle, Sgt. Tim Curran said. He should be considered armed and dangerous.

A 28-year-old woman said she was sexually assaulted and bound by the suspect, her estranged husband. She said he told her he was leaving the country with the child, Curran said.

The missing boy is Alexsandr Olteanu. He is described as 3 feet tall, weighing 35 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a yellow t-shirt and underwear.

The boy's father, David Olteanu, 28, is described as white; 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing 195 pounds. He has brown hair and green eyes and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.

His car is a 2008 dark blue Chrysler 300 with California license plate number 6DBR388.

The boy was reported kidnapped after the domestic violence situation around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Sheriff's Sgt. Tim Curran said difficulties between deputies and the alleged victim caused a delay in issuing the Amber Alert.

Curran said Olteanu may have gone to Oroville and picked up several firearms, including an assault rifle and was considered possibly armed and dangerous.

Investigators said Olteanu told the boy's mother that he was leaving the country with the child.

Amber Alert Cancelled: Boy Found Safe In Romania


SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ― 3-year-old boy who was reportedly kidnapped by his father in Sacramento has been found safe in Romania.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's department say 3-year-old Alexsander Olteanu has been found unharmed in Bucharest, Romania. His father, David has been detained.

Authorities say David attacked his estranged wife on Wednesday morning, sexually assaulting her and tying her up. He then kidnapped her son, Alexsander, telling the mother he was taking the boy out of the country.

Authorities issued an Amber Alert yesterday afternoon saying they considered David armed and dangerous. Authorities believed he had several firearms, including an assault rifle, inside his vehicle.

The attack and kidnapping reportedly took place at the mother's apartment around 10:30 in the morning. Police say the mother did not call police once she freed herself, choosing instead to call a friend. The friend notified authorities, who learned of Alexsander's disappearance and issued the Amber Alert just before 4 p.m.

Sacto Amber Alert Child Found Safe In Romania

SACRAMENTO (CBS) ― A 3-year-old boy who was reportedly kidnapped by his father in Sacramento and found safe in Romania will likely stay there while international legal issues are resolved.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's department said 3-year-old Alexsander Olteanu was found unharmed in Bucharest, Romania. His father, David had been detained but was later released by Romanian authorities. His son was also returned to his custody.

The Sacramento Sheriff's department said David attacked his estranged wife on Wednesday morning, sexually assaulting her and tying her up. He then kidnapped her son, Alexsander, telling the mother he was taking the boy out of the country.

Authorities issued an Amber Alert Wednesday afternoon saying they considered David armed and dangerous. Investigators learned he may be on a 3:45pm flight out of San Francisco to Romania. Interpol checked the flight manifests and were able to determine which flight he was on.

Sacramento Sheriff's spokesperson Tim Curran says they were notified at 6:30 Thursday morning that Alexsander had been found and that he was unharmed. But that Romanian officials had left his father David go free and returned Alexsander to his custody.

The attack and kidnapping reportedly took place at the mother's apartment around 10:30 in the morning. But deputies say she did not contact them right away.

SACRAMENTO — A local man accused of raping his estranged wife and kidnapping his own three-year-old son was arrested Tuesday.

Law enforcement officials say 29-year-old David Olteanu was taken into custody in Romania Monday.

Olteanu is accused of tying up his wife and sexually assaulting her at a Sacramento County apartment complex, then taking the boy to Romania.

The child is said to be okay and in the process of being reunited with his mother.

The boy's father will remain in custody in Romania, pending extradition back to the US.
