I had a job making the Christmas trees the right shape when I was 17-18. yucky sticky smelly hot sweaty job with sharp machetties(sp)
Just give me a fake tree. It should have lots of lights and colors though.

PS We sheared trees on Ed Geins farm.......................:a1chic:

There were bushes that the supervisortold us not to go beyond. Yeah, right.
There was an old shed of somekind but it was all falling down. The house was "accidentally" burned long before. Really nothing to see but it is kind of creepy to be there.

So, I gather you're more of a southern Wisconsinite. I too think that would be creepy. It doesn't matter that his house was burned down... it's a feeling.

I guess because I believe he was mentally ill that I think I wouldn't believe it was "so" evil. I tend to believe someone like Ted Bundy was "evil". JMHO

Ed Gein's property was just outside Plainfield. If you put a dart into the exact centroid of the state, it would be awfully close to Plainfield.

You did not give a choice of no tree.

Best investment I made for my Christmas tree was to get the artifical one with lights already in them. The hardest part was getting those darn lights even, now I just place the tree together and start putting the ornaments. It cuts my time in half....:basic45: ( love that smiley, reminds me of how my granddaughter dances once she hears music):love0085:

I like the all clear lights but all lights are pretty. http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q186/jilly4/ct.jpg

I had to vote for the artificial tree with white & colored lights since we have more than one tree! :D

Do you ever put up a tree? Hubby and I haven't put one up in a few years. It's so much hassle! I think we're just lazy. If we had kids, we'd definitely put one up. But since we don't, we just decorate around the house. I do miss the smell of a real tree in the house at Christmas, though. Oh...and I'm an all-white-light person.

It sure looks like a Kincade. I think I saw it on a Christmas card last year.

My youngest son got sick, like a head cold EVERY Christmas for ten years until we figured out that he was allergic to real chritmas trees. Duh were we ever stupid. We bout a beautiful huge artificial tree trimmed in white lights.

This year I spread out the lights on the floor and they all worked. So I decorated the tree plugged them in and they did not work. Could find the culprit so I had to take them off, no easy feat and started the proccess over again. There was one connection that was faulty. When't on and off if you moved the cord, so start all over again. Boy was I frustrated. But it's up now and very pretty.!!
