Hey Bam! :0012: I've seen you on the boards -- figured you've been doing some speed reading! As usual, you got the gist of the issues really quick. I'm hoping LE gets cleared to make an arrest this week! Sorry I wasn't on when you had some questions over at CTV cause I would have PMed you and filled you in. Glad to see you here! :girl_haha:

I thought I'd bring this over here ~ it speaks volumes about DP! :mad:

"When contacted by ABC News, Peterson, who has not been accused of any crime, said he was "surprised by the media attention."

"I got caught in a media lull and it snowballed. There are more important things than this, like a little girl missing in Chicago," he said.

When asked about his concerns for his two young children, ages 2 and 4, Peterson said, "sure their mom's missing and they're upset but there are more important things to worry about." "

Just saw this on Greta's blog:

Comment by where is STACY??
November 21st, 2007 at 12:14 pm

Greta did you KNOW????????

When Brodsky, 50, got in trouble for forging a dead man’s signature to cash a $23,000 check four years ago, he convinced the state board that disciplines lawyers to suspend his license a mere three months instead of the three years originally proposed.

Brodsky convinced the panel his motives were pure: He thought if he did not immediately cash the check, the $23,000 would be turned over to the state and the client would never see the money.

Brodsky’s disciplinary issue came up after he split on bad terms from a former law partner who handled an estate case. Brodsky learned there was $23,000 in an account on which there had been no activity in more than five years. He never called his former law partner, but went in and signed documents under the name of the estate executor to close the account and get the money, which he put in his personal safe.

Brodsky told a bank official the executor was “incapacitated.”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Is this the same Joel Brodsky?
Column: Police report.
Chicago Tribune
January 6, 1998
A 37-year-old woman said she would seek an order of protection after her ex-husband allegedly grabbed her by the arm and ripped her shirt Sunday during a scuffle at the woman’s home in the XXXX block of Bristol Lane. Joel Brodsky, 40, XXX Leamington Ave., Wilmette, was charged with domestic battery.
Peterson could face legal trouble
Grand jury to hear more testimony in Savio case
http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=local&id=5777523
November 21, 2007 (CHICAGO) -
Highlights:
Drew Peterson could soon face some new legal problems. His former boss will meet with prosecutors Wednesday to see whether Peterson's alleged department violations amount to criminal conduct.
Grand jury continues to investigate death of Savio
The grand jury investigating the death of Peterson's third wife, Kathleen Savio, will hear more testimony Wednesday. There are reports the panel is investigating a suburban police officer who served on the 2004 coroners' jury, which ruled Savio's death an accident. That officer may have known Drew Peterson and could have influenced the ruling. The Will County coroner says at the time he was not aware of anyone on the jury who knew Peterson or Savio.
Sgt. Drew Peterson’s lawyer - Joel Brodsky - will be ON THE RECORD tonight at 10pm. Picture of Brodsky is below: (do you have a question for him? post here….)
And right now Sharon Bychowski is being questioned by the Illinois State Police regarding “phone calls” — we are awaiting more information on what that means….so check back.
Mark Fuhrman Update from Bolingbrook:
Showing Chief's statements about DP and the shame he has brought to the PD
SA said that as soon as the Chief provides the documentation, he will look into the Chief's allegations.
MF: DP said "I'd take a lie detector test." But he knows that JB will caution him not to take one. And he knows that even if he does the results will not be released to the public. Even if he took the test, all you have to ask is "Did you receive a call from SP at 9pm on Sunday night and did you speak with her?" DP would fail that test and that's all LE needs to know.
BPD Chief is doing the right thing to follow the proper procedures and to turn the information they have over to the SA.
We have been doing an in depth investigation of DP and it is a surprise he ever made it 29 years because he is certainly NOT a shining example of what a good police officer should be!
JOLIET, Ill. (CBS) ― An old friend of missing Bolingbrook mother Stacy Peterson's admits he flirted with her in the weeks before Stacy disappeared.
Scott Rossetto testified Wednesday before a grand jury investigating the case. As CBS 2 West Suburban Bureau Chief Mike Puccinelli reports, it was the third time Rossetto was called before a grand jury to testify about what he knows about Stacy's disappearance more than three weeks ago. The first two times he did not take the stand, but this time he did.
"They asked what kind of contact we had, conversations that she maybe had initiated," Rossetto sad. "Did she look afraid…Just generalized conversation."
Drew Peterson gave her an engagement ring.
Together, they picked out a china pattern.
Kyle Piry met Drew Peterson in the early '80s when he showed up at the gas station where she worked to investigate a gas theft.
In the end, though, Kyle Piry resisted the mature charms of a man who has persuaded four other women to become Mrs. Peterson. But rebuffing the Bolingbrook police officer in the early 1980s came with a price, Piry, 46, told the Chicago Sun-Times this week.
I am not sure about that. Whatever happens to him there will still be Stacy's little ones and I truly believe they deserve to be supported. The two that are his and KS have the 1mil but his two with Stacy will have nothing. If he is in prison they can not get SS because he is still alive and Stacy most likely did not work enough for them to collect her ss. I would love to see those children collect his pension.
I actually caught her interview on FOX before I fell asleep. She does look somewhat intimidated about Drew. Im sure she can shed some light on his behavuior and personality as well. Now if the current "Amber Frey" out there in this case would just step forward maybe we could get some more answers.
Im concerned for Lacy and Anthony. DP made it clear on the Today show if he went to prison, his brother would have his kids and they would be well taken care of. If his brother gets custody of those kids, I dont think he would allow Stacy's family around them. Just a hunch and Lord knows they do not need this stress added onto more stress right now. I hope I am wrong and he could let them be a part of Cassandras life too.
today's the best "f" holiday: food, family & friends.
my prayers will be with DP's children today & every day - i hope they come out of this okay. imo DP should have the children stay with relatives/friends who can help them thru this. having the kids at his home is definitely not a healthy environment.
snicker - now i know where you went to yesterday - missed your postings at ctv. have a question for you - does anyone know who's watching the kids while DP is out & about? i hope it's not his oldest son (11?) . . . in NY it's against the law to leave a child under the age of 14 unsupervised.
i hope they're being reasonably taken care of . . . any information you can provide would be appreciated. thanks in advance & have a good gobble gobble.
I'm not Snicker but I think I've read that his brother Paul and his SIL are there helping with the children.
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!! :happy0207:
I hope you're all having a great day so far! :give_rose:
I have been having serious problems with my computer since last night and thankfully my son is still in bed, so I'm borrowing his. Hopefully I'll be able to get my computer back up and online again some time tonight and be back with you as usual. In the meantime I added several very interesting articles to the "Stacy thread" under the "Thanksgiving forum" over at the CTV boards if you want to take a look at them. The updates include Scott Rosetto's comments about DP confronting him and SP at a Denny's restaurant before she disappeared, DP's comments from the People interview, and more about the investigation into SP's disappearance.
Right before I left CTV to come over here, MSNBC had an update:
DP says he expects to be arrested because the investigators are under such intense media scrutiny. :rolleyes:
(Oh yeah, Drew, THAT'S why you'll be arrested! NOT because they have evidence that YOU are responsible! I get it now! :eyebrow1qb:)
OK, I'll be in and out until I leave for Thanksgiving dinner in a while or my son commandeers his computer. :22wink:
today's the best "f" holiday: food, family & friends.
my prayers will be with DP's children today & every day - i hope they come out of this okay. imo DP should have the children stay with relatives/friends who can help them thru this. having the kids at his home is definitely not a healthy environment.
Henry, I wish I knew! Having those toddlers with DP scares me to no end! And the teenagers have to be under tremendous stress with everything that's going on - I hope he's not leaving the toddlers in their care! Given his past history, it's clear those children are NOT at the top of DP's priority list. I'm praying they will all be safe today since it's likely they will be around other family for the holiday. I just wish LE would get DP into custody so all the kids can breathe a sigh of relief and possibly be given to their mothers' families! IMO that would be better for all of them! It will take a long time for DP's children to recover from what he has introduced into their young lives!
In the meantime, you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! :0012:
MSNBC Update:
DP says the public is seeing "his dirty laundry and nothing else."
(Hmmmmm . . . I've been around the block a few times, and I don't know of anyone with this much dirty laundry! Geesh! Is DP the master of understatement or what? :confused: :rolleyes: )
I really don't know what to think of these new developments with the Rossette guy. Stacey had to have known by now what Drew was like. If he asked her not to meet this guy at Denny's, why did she go anyway? She had to have known he was an obsessive jealous prick. Why take the chance of pissing him off? I'm sure Drew has made her feel so insecure about herself. All the "repairs" prove that. She didn't need them, she was already beautiful. But he convinced her she was flawed. Scott probably made her feel good about herself again. She needed someone like that. I just wish she had waited until she had gotten away from Drew. I believe he was convinced she was having an affair and that's why he killed her. What do you all think?
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
In between cooking and posting.
I want some of that snow!:girl_haha:
I agree, Scott probably boosted her self esteem, they very could have argued about Scott that morning but I still do have this feeling, she knew more about Kathleen's death than we know and I wouldnt doubt she threw this up to Drew during a heated arguement. Maybe she thought she could use it as leverage in the divorce and guarantee her safety but it backfired on her. :0009: Im just thinking out loud here.
I'd imagine he'd made her self-esteem very low. He admits he's "controlling, but not abusive". To me, "controlling" is abusive. I think she made the mistake of turning to someone (SR) before leaving DP and that led to her death, but I can't really fault her because she was so young when she met DP and had no life experience without him. I'm still wondering if she knew what really happened to Kathleen. I don't think she could've taken part in Kathleen's death but may have suspected or known DP was involved. :(
Hello Everyone! Just jumped over to say Happy Turkey Day and Hello!!
Per the above...I think Drew mailed it to himself. Just in case he didn't...If Stacy is with another man and has not contacted her family, friends and children...Plus allowed ALL of the people out there to search for her etc...Shame on her! I don't think that's the case though.
Here's an update on that article with a little more detail ~
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21931752/
And information about DP's pension ~
Pension at risk
Dobrich also told the newspaper that detectives have found evidence Peterson may have violated Bolingbrook Police Department policies, violations that could be serious enough to jeopardize his $6,000 monthly pension.
Dobrich would not describe the alleged violations. Under state law, a police officer's pension may be denied or revoked only if the officer is convicted of a job-related felony.
Bolingbrook's Police and Fire Commission accepted Peterson's resignation last week.
Police Chief Ray McGury also alleged Peterson committed "severe" violations of departmental policies, but wouldn't disclose specifics.
WOW To say the least. But, like the family said, they've received hundreds of letters so..... Makes ya wonder why DP's only received one. Or is this the only one he received that he believes. Would that be because he or one of his buddies sent it? :waitasec:
BTW Harlett, absolutely loving this place. I sorta wish we could make it a permanent location. I'm sure you'd let certain comments fly that wouldn't fly at CTV. Plus we get the pukie smilie plus so many more here. And watch what else we can do..... bf and b/f woohooo :basic44:
ITA Jmylea...also why send a letter to DP a week later?? Why not called LE or the tip line?? I pray that was SP and she is safe...but I just don't believe in my heart it was. I think this is another sick attempt by DP to stir the pot and make SP look bad. IMO.
Local news stations tonight did report that the person who saw SP said she had a "pudge". IMO..."pudge" is something I feel would come out of DP's mouth.
Newest Bombshell! :eek:
OMG!!! Just heard on MSNBC that LE has confirmed the story of DP and "an unidentified friend" loading a blue barrel into his SUV AND that DP is a certified diver and his diving weights are missing from the house. LE is theorizing that he used the diving weights to weigh the barrel down and that is why they have been searching for Stacy in areas of water.
