BOISE — Boise Police officers are asking for assistance from the public in locating a 14-year-old girl they believe may have run away with a man she met on the Internet.

A felony kidnapping warrant has been filed for 27-year-old Morgan Douglas Jones, of Birmingham Alabama, after police say he met Saddie “Elaine” Julian, 14, while playing an online game.

Police believe he drove to Boise and picked up the girl at about 7 a.m. Wednesday in a vehicle described as a 2008 Chevrolet Aveo, with Alabama license plates “OMGROFL.” Jones is described as about 5-feet, 9-inches tall, weighing around 160 pounds with shoulder-length red hair and light to pale skin. He was clean-shaven.

Sadie is described by police as about 5-feet tall, with light skin, red hair and a thin build. They estimate she weighs about 90 pounds.

“Our priority is finding Saddie and making sure she’s safe,” said Boise Police Lt. Alan Cavener. “Her family is understandably very concerned. We hope to find her soon and be able to tell her family she’s okay.”

Boise Police have issued a law enforcement alert to all surrounding states and Alabama. Boise Police detectives are working closely with other local, state, and federal law enforcement to locate Julian and Jones.

Morgan Jones, 27, is being charged with two counts of child rape in Washington state.

BOISE -- A 27-year-old Alabama man caught hiding out at a remote Washington campground with a 14-year-old Boise girl now faces two counts of child rape.

Franklin County Prosecuting Attorney Steve Lowe says Morgan Jones is being held in the county jail on a 72-hour hold while they decide how to proceed in this case. His bond has been set at $50,000.

Jones was arrested Monday morning after authorities found him with at the Palouse Falls State Park in Franklin County - in southeastern Washington.

He was taken into custody on a felony kidnapping warrant issued by Ada County prosecutors. Morgan waived his right to extradition to Idaho yesterday, but Lowe says he will not be returned to Boise until the Washington case against him is resolved.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Morgan admitted to Franklin County Undersheriff Kevin Carle that he had sexual relations with the teen on several occasions since May 29th.

Third-degree child rape in Washington is a crime punishable by up to five years for each count. Lowe says they are in touch with Ada County prosecutors and the FBI is involved in the investigation. Morgan could face federal charges too. A formal decision on the rape charges will be made by Friday.

The pair met while playing an Internet game and agreed to meet. Morgan drove his Chevy Aveo from Birmingham, Alabama to Boise last week and met the girl near her home on May 28th.

They were spotted at the Washington campsite after someone noticed Morgan's bright yellow car on a TV news report and called police.

The female victim has been returned to her parents in Boise. Lowe would not comment on her condition.

He says the most important thing in cases like this is to have the "least impact" on the victim, and "maximum impact" on the suspect.
