I thought this deserved its own thread, KM.

Three day old babies don't even cry that much, or that loudly. What kind of terrible people would do this??? :madranting94dp:

umm...Roamer? My son SCREAMED the first night we brought him home from the hospital. For 8 hours. We took him back because we thought something seriously was wrong with him. Turns out he had colic from that early age on.

What kind of people would do this? One who thought a baby would change it's own diaper, feed him/herself, burp themselves, and never cry. INhuman. :madranting94dp:

Ooops, rethinking that statement... sorry, Rockford. My very first baby did the same thing, but I was so young and child stupid that it was probably my nerves making her so fussy.

But killing a 3 day old baby with blunt force trauma??? That's just hard for me to wrap my mind around.

I really am at a loss for words. That poor innocent baby, never had a chance at life. Blunt force trauma to that young innocent angel, makes my heart cry!:cryintime:

I've said it before, just because one has a baby, it doesn't make them a mother/father.

I didn't think anything about your comment as all my babies were quiet the first few weeks. Certainly the first 3 days were spent sleeping and nursing. I just can't imagine anyone being so cruel to a newborn. Why not show a crumb of mercy and just smother the baby. Pure evil.

Ashley and Albert Debelbot made their first court appearance on Tuesday. They are now facing murder charges in the death of their three day old baby.

Ashley Debelbot’s mother was in the court room as her daughter listened to the charge against her. Ashley Debelbot's mom was with several soldiers from Fort Benning. Both of the Debelbot’s have army connections.

Ashley Debelbot was previously in the army and her husband Albert Debelbot is a Fort Benning soldier. They just moved to Fort Benning in March.

The couple had the baby on post at Martin Army Hospital. They were allowed to take the baby home midday Saturday.

Investigators told News Three the Debelbots brought the baby back to the hospital early Sunday morning. At that point the baby had a large lump on her forehead.

According to Investigators, medical examiners said that the baby's injury was the kind that you can only get from being slammed against a wall or punched extremely hard.

Investigators told News Three they questioned if this could have happened because the baby was dropped? Medical examiners say only if it was dropped from a three story building.

:madranting94dp: So, which of these creeps punched a newborn in the head. They didn't even have her home for a full 24 hours. :45024:

How in the name of everything holy could a woman carry a baby inside her body for nine months, go through the pain of delivery and what should be the joy of holding her baby for the first time, then kill it?

My heart bleeds for this baby and for all the people out there who are trying so hard to have a child and can't. Any of them would have surely taken this baby and given it the love and care that these two denied her.

Honestly Kitty? No, my son did not the 3rd day, sleeping and nursing. He actually cried for 8 hours when we put him down for sleep at 5:00p.m. When he didn't stop at probably 10p.m. or sooner, we took him to the hospital. I tell you, but the end of that first week, MY nerves were fried! And he continued for 3 months. But he can't be the only baby and I'm sure he's not.

I'm so glad my husband and I took turns at shifts at sleeping, or I would have jumped out of a window.

This story though is just despicable. This lady just didn't want her baby....for whatever reason. And she should have given that baby up for adoption! :madranting94dp:

Bless your hearts. And I'd have taken him to the hospital too. With my first I had the ped on speed dial. Seriously, I called about everything. But, I guess that's sort of the point with cases like this. We watch our babies like mother bears...this woman did not.
