hmmmm, thanks packy. The case sounds strange.
There is something confusing unless it's just the way the article is worded. Not sure what if they are investigating. Wonder if someone was involved in his disappearance.

Missing youth pastor found 'dazed'
The Horry County Police Department this morning announced it has closed the case of a Surfside Beach minister who was reported missing and found a few hours later "dazed and confused" inside his van on the side of a road in Manteo, N.C.
The county police say no crime occurred, but did not elaborate.
David Martin "Marty" Parker, 32, is an associate pastor at Glenns Bay Baptist Church and was reported missing Wednesday morning after church employees saw signs of a struggle inside his office, said pastor Benjy Simmons.
Horry County Police Lt. Jamie DeBari said Wednesday the cases was being treated as suspicious, but in a press release issued this morning, he simply said the case is finished.
In Dare County, N.C., where Parker was found, sheriff officials declined to comment on the case and referred questions to Horry County police.
Church officials found the doors open to the church at 1835 Glenns Bay Road about 9 a.m., and Parker's office "in shambles," Simmons said.
Parker, who has been the church's associate pastor since November 2007, was attacked by someone, hit in the head and abducted from the church about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Simmons said. He said nothing appeared to be taken or destroyed at the church.
According to the church's Web site, Parker helps with the church's youth ministry and is a graduate of Columbia International University.
If you go to the site to read the article, read the comment section. It seems like a lot of local people are not happy that none of the details are being reported and therefore they are confused why HCPD calls the case closed. Interesting.....

Thank you, Delilah. I'm glad he's okay, but I would really like to hear more about it. It doesn't sound like we'll hear any more from LE. Maybe the reporters will find out something.

Missing pastor found in North Carolina
An assistant pastor at a Surfside Beach church who disappeared earlier Wednesday and triggered a criminal investigation has been found.
The pastor of an Horry County church talked exclusively with NewsChannel 15 about a terrible ordeal at his church.
Police say the assistant pastor at Glenns Bay Baptist Church was abducted, but has been found in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
Members of the congregation say they are relieved to know their assistant pastor, 32 year old David Martin Parker, is alive and okay after police say he was assaulted and abducted early Wednesday morning.
Parker was at work at Glenns Bay Baptist Church early Wednesday morning getting ready for a yard sale this weekend. He says two men clubbed him over the head, and the next thing he knew, he woke up in his van in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
That's where Dare County Police found him Wednesday afternoon.
The main pastor of the church, Benjy Simmons, says he is ecstatic his good friend, who's only been here since November, is okay.
"Elated, as we all prayed today, got the prayer chain going that he'd be safe secure and be home with us, so hopefully within 24 hours he'll be back home, tucked in his own bed, with his own family and children."
Parker will be kept overnight at the Outer Banks Medical Center suffering from a concussion.
No one has been arrested.

If he was assaulted and abducted, why in the world would they close the case when the suspect(s) haven't been arrested?
Or do they mean the Missing Case is closed?

Missing youth pastor found 'dazed'
Several hours after he was reported missing from a Surfside Beach church, a 32-year-old Horry County man was found "dazed and confused" inside his van on the side of a road in Manteo, N.C., the church's pastor said.
David Martin "Marty" Parker is an associate pastor at Glenns Bay Baptist Church and was reported missing Wednesday morning after church employees saw signs of a struggle inside Parker's office, said pastor Benjy Simmons.
"He's fine," Simmons said. "He does not know how he got to North Carolina."
Details about the possible kidnapping of Parker and how he ended up in North Carolina were not released Wednesday, Horry County police Lt. Jamie DeBari said. He said the case was being treated as suspicious.
Dare County, N.C., sheriff officials also declined to comment on the case and referred questions to Horry County police.
Parker, who is married and has three young children, was being treated at a Dare County, N.C., hospital and his family was on the way to see him Wednesday evening, Simmons said.
"It appears our associate pastor was in the wrong place at the wrong time," Simmons said. "You feel violated. We live in a world where evil is present as well as good."
According to the church's Web site, Parker helps with the church's youth ministry and is a graduate of Columbia International University.
