You do remember Gary Busey was almost normal around the time he did "Silver Bullet." Then he was in a very bad motorcycle accident and hasn't been the same since.
Sean Stewart was on the "Princes of Hollywood," he's a rich spoiled kid.
Rodney King is a real certified druggie/criminal since his lawsuit.
Tawny Kitaen, was on "Surreal Life" and is a mess and not a very nice person.
The others I don't know much about. But an willing to learn...lol

I heard Gary Busey will be a counselor. He has been drug free for awhile now. Somehow I can't see him as a counselor with all his outbursts and crazy behavior.

Yes, the girlfriend should go. I still think she is a major enabler to Jeff and she's admitted to taking some meds that Jeff shouldn't even be exposed to.
Rodney King is not a celebrity, he is a criminal. I know he had an altercation with policemen, but since then he has turned to crime an drugs.
Gary Busey is a fruitloop, I can't believe he could mentor anyone.
But, I'll watch it all happen...through Dr. Drew.....

I think Dr. Drew makes a lot of sense and he is a professional. He's giving his opinion about groups/cults and Tom Cruise is just an example.

Absolutely. Slander, character assassination, etc..I don't think it will get very far since it is only an opinion. He did apologize, but I think TC is one who will not let this go so easily. He has sued in the past.

Gary Busey, the nut. And a host of other needy semi-famous ppl.
On a side note, some of these ppl have been on other reality shows which makes me think they are only doing it for the money...any thoughts:shrug1:

Yeah Tee, I think that some of the people just want to get on TV and if they are paying them to be on the show, the money doesn't hurt either. Tawney Kittain is one of my least favorite people. I'll be watching just to see how she makes an ass of herself. Have you ever heard of a show called gone country? Well right now they have Sean Young on that show and on the first day she managed to go from normal to full-blown bipolar. When everyone else was trying to get sleep she was up running the hallway and knocking on everyone's bedroom doors and kept everyone else up till 5 a.m. Irene Carra got fed up and packed her bags and left the show because of Sean. And I mean she got out there! So sad...... She should be on Dr. Drew.

Couple years ago, on some program I saw Gary Busey on the porch of a house on the beach in Malibu. I wonder if it is his. Maybe it was during that weight-losing program he was on.

Hi Tee! Gone Country 2 is on the country channel network. I have just discovered it. that and swapping wives. I loooooooooooooooooove swapping wives. They get 2 mothers with nothing in common, in different states and swap them with the other mother. each has never met the other mother going to their house. this one show it had a male modle as the husband, one daughter, and of course the wife of the husband going to this other ladys house to be a mother for a week. this was a white family, a white mother going to the hood, to a black family. this white lady came with leisure and lived in a big fancy house with her modle husband on the beach in florida. when the black wife got to florida and saw the house, she was like.......OMG. she was to do the routines that wife did. she was sent on getting massages and the girlfriends of this other mother came to take out the black mother on the town like they do every week to dance. this black mom thought that this wasn't right. not without her husband. the husband asked her if she would like to go on a modleing shoot with him and she said sure. when she got there and saw what kind of modleing he did she could see their marriage coming apart. he posed with scantly covered modles in embraces that he alluded to sexuality. The husband is gone six months out of the year modeling. Now the white mother of that went to the hood came into a tiny house with three children. Two boys each 15 years old, Twins. And a daughter 18. The father is used to being pick up after and his dinner on the table at a certain time. He's constantly berating his children and never gives them a complement. When she got them alone one time she asked them what bothered them the most. And they told her that they were bothered by the way their dad never complimented them or did anything positive with them without putting them down and if they could they'd like to change that about him. Now after the week is up the mothers say goodbye to their new families and the mothers me in a secluded area and tell each other how thier week went with each others familys. the black mother told the white mother that she needed to spend more time with her husband. that they got to work things out. and partying with her friends as a single person isn't good. The white lady cried and said she knew it and didn't know how to stop it. and that she went out with her friends for comfort from being alone too much. Then the white lady told the black lady about her husband and how he never hugged his kids or told them they were worth anything. and the white lady sat the husband down and the kids and made the dad hug each of his kids. He was startled at how much his kids needed that. and needed to be told there loved. she had a family getogether for them and met the dads father who, in return, never told his son he loved him or told him he was proud of him. He raised him with no love. the dad asked the white lady if she could do for him what she did for his kids? and she said ok. while meeting the father she asked him if he would like to give his son a hug? the man was confused then gave his son (the dad) a hug and told him he loved him and was proud of him. the dad said that was the first time his dad has hugged him or told him he loved him and was proud of him. he said he had been waiting his whole life to hear that. the women exchanged envelopes with instuctions on what to do with each other 50 k. after they get home,. they open the envelope to read what the other mother has spent their 50 k on. the black mom opened hers and started reading and about had a cow. the white mother wanted 20k to go to "real" art for their home. and she left almost all the rest of the money to the father so he could get new pick up. And what was left over which was about 1000 dollars were split between the kids. OH, and I forgot, she also spent money on them to go to rome for a week. this pissed the black woman off. she tore her note up and took off walking down a dark street. she said, Don't she know we live in the hood? what are we going to do with art? It will be stolen as soon as we get it. and what did you do to get a pickup? And what are we gonna do in rome? we could have used that money for the kids college education! Meanwhile, the white mother opened her envelope. It read, that 20k for college education for their kids. and 10 G on a secluded couples only resort for the model and his wife so they can get in touch again. and 10 G a piece for the mom and dad. so the black woman let them have a good gift and the white woman gave the black family nothing they could use but the pick up. she could have just left money for college for those 3 kids. but she didn't. But what do rich people do when they have always had money? BLOW IT! but, anyway, it's a good show to watch. and so is Nanny 911. how those nannys get a houseful of dysfunctional people functioning in a week is a true miracle.

Then she married a baseball player and had a scuffle with him and I think they went their separate ways. then she was in sur-real life with carol brady and tried hard to bring her down in a nasty way. and everytime she failed, she either got sick mysteriously or her eyes would run, or something. she was just making things up cause she had made an ass out of herself on the show. I also think her looks are starting to go south. she has a manly face. horse teeth, and her hair needs combing. I can't wait to see what kind of crap she's going to play this time around. I got my tv changed over to satillite, so all the channels are different. can someone give me the name of the station it's on, and what day and time so I don't miss any of it!

Some of what a daughter has to discuss with her parents or just her father goes beyond what to discuss with BOTH parents and sounds more like what a girl might discuss with her mother. To ask a father what turns him on is too much. I think another question was asking the father how many women had been in his life before the mother... it may have been more personal than that.

I watched sex with mom and dad and I agree about how uncomfortable it must be for the father to answers that his daughter asked him. she asked if he had ever had any std's and he had to answer yes. she asked how many women before her mother, she asked if he ever cheated on her mother. she asked how old he was when he had sex for the first time. and where at? I would never answer these questions to my children. not like that. I taught my kids about sex as soon as they started puberty. I put my daughter on the pill at 16 even though she wasn't having sex yet. it would help her period if anything. and with my 2 boys I taught them to always wear a rubber if they found themselfs in that kind of situation. I even bought them rubbers. they thought I was crazy! I was very open with them. my mother taught me nothing. not even when I had my period. she threw a box of kotex at me with a garter to hold the pad in place. I never wore tampons ever. but I did buy them for my daughter. and told her how to use them. I clotted so much tampons wouldn't do any good, and I was afraid of getting toxic shock syndrome if I didn't let the clots go through. at the time I didn't know I had cancer. I had everything taken out when I was 29. I would have liked one more child. but not in the cards for me. Kids pretty much know about sex from the R rated movies on tv. and soap's are even getting into it. If we all lived in eroupe, where sex is not that big of a deal, and they go naked most of the time, we'd be better off. it's the tittleating on tv which give teens these ideas. I can't watch another show of dr. drews on the kids with their parents. the first one bothered me so bad. He should be counceling the parents before thier children reach puberty. not after. that's just my thoughts on it.

Jeff is back and looks worse than ever. Vivki tagged along and is getting treatment in another part of the hospital. I think she really wanted air time and to keep an eye on Jeff (as to not to reveal her secrets).
Rodney King seems like he's in another place, not connecting to anyone or thing.
The model/actress is a mess and thanks to her mother, who started her taking drugs at a young age.
I'm gonna rewatch this weekend because I was so tired I fell asleep (can you believe that). lol

You know it makes sense that they would screen them better. What if someone with an addictiion problem actually won and the pressure made them relapse?
Busey admitted to smoking pot for medical purposes to treat something. So no, he's not clean. He seemed to think think that since his drug of choice was cocaine, other drugs weren't a problem for him. Go figure.

Jeff is back and looks worse than ever. Vivki tagged along and is getting treatment in another part of the hospital. I think she really wanted air time and to keep an eye on Jeff (as to not to reveal her secrets).
Rodney King seems like he's in another place, not connecting to anyone or thing.

I watched the show and could not believe Gary Busey was thinking he was going to be a councellor. Did u notice when they were giving out meds he took what they gave him? I'd of asked more questions, like, what is this? and what is it going to do to me? And the nerve of him trying to give advice and not handing over his cell phone to dr. drews assistant. He was a plain old buttcrack about it. then he went to dr. drew to tell on the assistant. I can't remember her name. And jeff, what can I say. I saw him in a 2004 movie on HBO or one of those channels and 4 years ago he was someone else. what happened? In my opinion, I think jeff wants to be wanted. He has attention at rehab and he enjoys it. No one picks his hand up off the ground and say to him. Here, take these pills. I don't care how many operations you've had. the doctors shouldn't be prescribing these medications for him. but he goes to several doctors to get all these pills or he buys them off the street. I don't feel sorry for him. I feel more sorry for Gary Busey. He's making an ass out of himself. this looks like a project gone very bad. You get all those ego's in one room and you got trouble.

FM - Well Vicki is Jeff's enabler and I suspect she's only with him to get his drugs for him so that he can buy her's. That is probably only the tip of the iceberg, but my opinion.
As far as Busey and Adler, they are both brain damaged and should be in another type of rebab, as to not bother the straight out drug addicts. Rodney King may also have some head injuries. I just think they they are gonna put more stress on an already stressful situation, being recovery of the other addicts. knwi?

Whew! Haven't been here since seeing the first episode. Wonder how ole Gary got the notion he wasn't there for treatment? I sorta like him... maybe partly because he's from my home state, which is probably why I'm familiar with him in the first place. It seems like the look he gives to a person he's talking to... his eyes look like dark holes.

Some people are so stupid to let cocaine get hold of them. I had opportunities to try it, but, would never dare for fear of becoming an instant addict. Once dated a successful attorney that happened to. He ended up going to Mexico and frittering his life away.

I watched the last episode with Jeff's girlfriend coming over to his side of the building and freaking out she didn't have xanax and she was coming undone. the nurse came in and told them they had to go outside and visit. jeff's girlfriend was kissing him while he was passed out in a park bench and she was like kissing the dead. she wouldn't let go of him. the nurse had to pull her off him. why is jeff so messed up if they aren't giving him meds? and Gary is becoming scary to me. he is totally messed up in the head. I mean mental. He may be sober off cocain for 13 years, but the guys face is disaranged, one eye is lower than the other, it's plain to see he's got brain damage. He needs to be put in a nut hut. not a rehab center.

Okay so since I do watch, I'll add to 2 cents. That was a very telling story about how Tawny changed her name from Julie when she was 12. She seem's to be coming around...good for her!
Rodney King, more than anyone, seems to know he needs help and I'm so rooting for him. He comes across as a really nice guy that knows he's screwed up. When he was telling his story about how the police beat him, I could not believe that happened. And, I even saw it on the news,like everyone else. (Fingers crossed for him).
Baby Stewi has been in rehad so many times, this is just like a cake walk for him. I bet his father is really hurting over the fact that Baby Stewi blames all his falults on him.
I'm glad that Dr. Drew shared Gary's brain injuries with the rest of the group, maybe now they will be more understanding of his wierdness. I actually feel sorry for him. He was such a grade A actor...I loved Silver Bullet.

I was expecting her to drama out. but she has been doing good. and it was good to know her name is actually Julie. she looks more like a julie. not a bitchy tawney katean. and gary is making me sick. I don't care how brain damaged he is, he needs not to be there causing trouble with the other people. He makes no sence when he talks. I'm sick of jeff too. He doesn't want help. He wants to cry out HELP 911! Like he's in prison. He can leave anytime and has told everyone that he will continue using his drugs after he is out of rehab cause he can't stand the pain. and his girlfriend is off her rocker. she's too young for him, she should be dating guys her age and not living with jeff so she can get high with him. they are codependant on each other. dangerous! then whats up with the model/actress? waiting for her to come down off her opiates, and she's lying in the hallway trying to make herself throw up. geez.................................I like adler. he calls a card as he see's it. He stood up to gary in councelling, telling him he wasn't a director, or a helper, he was there cause he was an addict too. with mental problems. gary should be in a different hospital for the Mentally ill. He's just in the way at rehab. and taking up too much room for his fits and drama. what is julie in for? drinking or taking drugs? and young mr. stewart has been on a reality show where it shows how young sons of rockers are really like. I know his dad wasn't there for him while he was growing up. but he's there now. He has to deal with that first before he can move on. and what is with that girl from american idol? drugs or alcohol? don't they screen people on american Idol? do a urin test or something? she's not the first to need rehab after being on that show. I like luisha. she can handle all those guys at night. she does a good job. and she was an abuser herself at one point in her life. I like how dr. drew picks real people to help him. I think if dr. drew would clean house a bit and get jeff and his skank out of there along with gary, and put there interest in the people who really need help there wouldn't be any drama and people would get better faster. that's just my opinion. I've been locked up in mental wards, it's hard and you have to go by the rules. thats where gary should be. he can irritate all the patients he wants to in there. they are used to it. he can do all his bird calls in there and no one would think he's crazy. he'd be a regular. but he doesn't need the kind of therapy dr. drew is giving. He's in the wrong place.

Good show tonight, but Stephen Adler has some serious issues with his mother. She came to the clinic tonight and the meeting didn't go well at all. I toally believe everything Stephen said and nothing she said. My God, she gave him to her mother at birth. Then she stole his money. She just looked evil. Ended up Stephen had to leave the room, it was too painful for him.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!

Seth's agent calls dr drew and asks him to go to a nearby hotel and check on Seth, he's relapsed really hard. Dr. drew goes and Seth looks like death warmed over. Seth wants a couple more hours before he checks in rehab. He does end up coming back to the rehab center, but decides to smoke dope on the roof:groan:
They also went to a homeless shelter and worked in the kitchen, but Amber had a meltdown and they had to leave. This is a silly comment, but sometimes she looks like a man and other times she is gorgeous, how is that?
Nikki hasn't been able to write songs since her mother died and she's finally getting past that. Can someone please take the glitter shawdow away from her:smiley_aasg:
Jeff had a hissy fit about his back pain and that says he needed another surgery, blah-blah-blah. Dr. Drew told him he doesn't need anymore surgery and he finally chilled (after meds). He's a mess, poor guy!

I think it may be like a dry drunk kind of thing? We have a friend that does that with his lower jaw when he's drinking, but Nikki now does it all the time. I think it's gotten worse.

Yeah, I think Nikki's tic has something to do with the process. she constantly licks her lips too.

Not that I've ever been in rehab or needed to but I used to have a habit of rubbing my nose when I was really stressed. I once ended up with a big sore because of it. You just aren't aware you're doing it! But Nikki's full of anxiety, look at her. she never sits still, she's constantly wiggling her foot, feet, legs, jaw... :0t31:

As far as Amber - I'm afraid Amber is going to have to cut ties with her mom if she's going to live clean. I don't think Amber's mom will stay clean. I've seen too many like her. They live like that till they die. Amber's mother is very controlling of Amber. She also tries to lay a pity trip on Amber. The mom is very manipulative. I really feel bad for Amber.

Stephan - I've said it before, he's such a sweet soul, but if he goes back on the road, like he says he wants to, he'll probably start using again.

There are people that do well as long as they are in a structured setting, like Rehab. But as soon as they're turned loose they revert. It's really hard on them to resume their previous lifestyle, but without the drugs. I feel really bad for them. Addiction is a powerful thing.

Someone I know very well :71526: was married to an addict, they actually had to move out of state, cross country, and start a new life for him to get and stay sober. It's a very hard thing to do, especially if all your friends use.

It's taken my friend a long time to get clean because she always fell into the same group of friends or the same type of people.

What Jeff took was Oxycontin, a very potent pain med and a very addictive one. It's a street addicts favorite.
So since he'd been medicated at the clinic by Dr. Drew for three weeks his system was pretty clean (for Jeff). Therefore the one pill probably did work fast for him and the rest was in his head.

I figured it was that he'd been clean for a few weeks and it took effect faster for him since he's been dosed correctly. But he seemed so shocked by it.
Unfortunately, I'm sure it was only a few days before he was taking a hand full again.

Part of the addicts high is getting the drug, having it, taking it. The whole ritual makes them high. You could tht Vicki wasn't happy during that scene. I'm sure they were both back to bad habits within a day. I agree with you 100 percent Roe!

I don't think she will. First off she never admitted to having a drug or alcohol problem, which clearly she did. If anyone watched Surreal Life they know that.
On the Chelsea Lately show she said she did the CR show for the money. She said she went there more as a counselor. What a bunch of bs!

She was also in treatment. Don't know how far along she was at Amber's graduation. They would never go to the same facility for sober living anyhow. I really hope Amber know's she needs to somewhat distance herself from her mom after sober living.
As for Sean he's been in and out of rehab forever. He's even had a person live with him to keep him on the sober track. So no telling what his plan was when he graduated. I'm with you and think he should have went.

Granddaughter and her husband had a pair for awhile. I doubt they knew to take dad out when the 12 or so babies arrived. Have you ever noticed that when Jeff Conway starts making it to the "better side" or making progess in his rehab, he acts better? But once Vicki come into life more often, he goes 100 steps back. She will ultimately be the death of him since, in my opinion, she is not sincere about getting herself straightened out.

Since Gary Busey had that really bad motorcycle accident years ago, the poor guy just isn't on the same planet with the rest of us. JMHO

I didn't get to keep up with the show this year because it was on a Thursday. I will not miss Grey's Anatomy unless I'm dead or somewhere there isn't modern conveniences!

Cannot even imaginef taking a handful of my pain meds, although, have never taken oxycontin. I have hydrocodon 10mg which will stop certain pain, but, only cut other pain a little bit. My doc said I must never take more than one at a time, but, if the pain was really bad, take another in one hour.

I realize addicts dose themselves differently, but, I don't intend to be one. LOL.

Conaway might be able to deal with his life if he had a regular part in a TV series. He's just not been able to face not getting acting jobs........other than rehab show. $20,000 sounds about right to me as that amount to several people is a cheap hour for the producers. Plus, it's a large enough amount to lure has-been celebrities to be on shows.

In one of the extras, Nikki told Jenifer that she just had mouth surgery. I wonder what she had done. I know in CR2 she had a very annoying habit of (what looked like) pooing her jaw. I thought it was just a nervous habit. She also found a bottle of vicodin in her suitcase, which they got rid of.
From the looks of the first epi, Robney seems more serious than anyone. I'm rooting for him.
That Sober House is very nice, I'd love to stay there. And, Jenifer is cute as a button.

I never worried about those tell tell signs from braces, I was anal about brushing, flossing and that stuff.

I also had four crowns and had that muscle inbetween you gum and lip removed, can't think of the name of it right now. But that caused the original space betwee my top front teeth, in the first place. My mouth cost a fortune.

Steven did so many drugs that he got kicked out of Guns n' Roses because he was always so drugged he couldn't play the drums. I mean he wasn't the only member of GnR that did heavy drugs, he was the only one that couldn't perform. So he got the boot. And he's never recovered from that.
But he had a stroke and that affected his speech.

I only caught tail end of the announcement while on CW for Everybody Loves Raymond. Tyra is on 9 AM on CW here. I don't usually watch her show. Seems like something was said about whether or not the twins were really bi-sexual.

Well, they've both been ramming there tongues down guys and girls throats.

If I had to guess, I'm thinking Vikki likes girls moreso than Rikki. In fact, this is one screwed up show. Its not like Real and Chance. At least they divided up the skanks. With the Ikki's, I have no idea who's going to pick who!

I'm gonna throw a bet out and say Vikki picks a girl, and Rikki picks a guy. Just my gut here.
