Hi SG. :love0081: I was in the same position yesterday. I think the storms here started before 7 pm. The weather was on all channels most of the night. We were fortunate that we didn't lose power (lights flicked once), but it was wild, lightning, thunder, and lots of rain for hours. There was a respite once about 10-something, I turned on the computer, read a little bit, and then the lightning was back. I had just read about you frying your computer, so I was taking no chances. This morning is ok, so far.

As usual, the more southern parts of the state were inundated. There was flooding all over down there. It's very sad. Governor called in FEMA. I sure hope they help people now faster than they did with Katrina. :cryintime: One lady said she lived in that particular area for 40 years and has never seen anything like this.

Hi Queen Bee. The storms were pretty rough. I couldn't believe how many hours it went on. Our lights flickered once, but did not go off. We were luckier than around 9000 in our area. Other places were even worse. High winds and flooding in many places. It didn't reach up to our county though. I felt so bad for all the people they were showing on the news with their flooded basements, streets like rivers. Unbelievable, but there it is. :girl_sad:

Most, if not all of eastern WI is under a flash flood warning today. More rain coming on Sunday and then it looks like it may start to dry out. Farmers are having problems with their crops. I'm not sure if many even got them into the ground or if the high water has washed away the seeds. WAAAAHHHHH I want WI sweet corn this fall.

Hi Molly. From what I saw on the news, the corn plants were teeny tiny and the farmers don't think it's going to grow. They say it's too late to plant again. I don't know; it seems to me with it just being June, they could chance at least a small new crop when the rain stops. We might have a long fall like last year. :confused:

I listen to National Public Radio in the car, in the house, at work. Not so strange, I think. But that's just me. I guess it would appear strange for 20-somethings, but both my sons listen to classical music and NPR in addition to all the other stuff they listen to. They're both 20-somethings.

Ya.....and Whinstein explained how they (Ms page and him) divided responsibility to watch Neil and his reactions..that Neil is a devastated husband and father..of course he was not laughing..yah da yah da..Well, my other observation was that Ms. Page looked at Neil, and if she saw what we saw..she really should have attempted to comfort him somehow..maybe tap him on the shoulder..aomething to show the jury he was distraught...but NO they let Neil play out his cry/smile/grimace/tear or two..No tissues required..

well we would say "watch your step" it's not that we didn't get it, it is the way it is said and really loud. it's scary when you first hear it.

dumb ass mr mitch was like videoing the whole time we were over there. at the towers of london we go to see the crown jewels. it is posted everywhere tht you cannot photo the jewels as your going down this converyer belt moving you through the room. so Mr Mitch just decides to ignore these warnings and starts vidioing. this big ass Beef Eater I think thats what they call them, Cop in american, snatches him right off the belt by the nap of his neck and proptly escorts him out. it all happened so fast i was like stunned. but i wasn't giving up my tour for his stupitiy so he had to wait for me outside for about 2 hours.
