They do such fabulous work, and they usually don't get mentioned as often as the Red Cross. RC toots it's own horn; Salvation Army goes about the work quietly unless someone asks.

The no defense defense worked in a trial we watched last year. This guy, Orange Taylor, was accused of killing a student at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor Michigan.
The evidence against him, I thought and so did most, was overwhelming, including a video tape, and his lawyer put on no defense case -- and the jury came back hung, meaning there was a mistrial.

Couldn't believe it. No defense case, and the jury or a juror bought it.

(He was retried earlier this year, and found guilty)

Crazy.
I hope we've got a straight and honest jury here.

I felt from day one Weiney was running this like it was a done deal Guilty. Playing for appeals is all I can figure...like he Didn't Get A Fair Trial or something.

But man, this is the lamest "defense" I have ever ever seen.
