Dekota Lynn was born on March 9,2007 and only lived to see about 7 months of it.
Her life was taken by someone that was suppose to love her and take care of her. She lost her life to someone who was basically a grandfather figure to her.
On Oct. 28th Dekota's mom and grandmother went out to get something to eat. Megan(Dekota's mom) and grandmother left Dekota, her 2 older brothers and the grandmothers own child (a month younger then Dekota) with the Grandmothers boyfriend.
When they got home Dekota was lying in her playpen not breathing. Her mother scooped her up and her and the grandmother rushed her to the nearest firestation for help. She was then taken to the nearest hospital.
She was basically pronounced brain dead there at that hospital but was still air lifted to the Sunrise Childrens Hospital in Las Vegas to get a second opinion.
There they recieved the devestating news that she was indeed brain dead and leaving her on life support was only prolonging her suffering. They made the decision to take her off life support. Her poor precious head was so swollen and a mark on her right side of her head where it had rested against the playpen net and the blood had settled there.
All the children in the home were removed by cps until further investigation could be done. Everyone was now under investigation. When the police questioned the children 4 year old brother told them that Glenn had thrown Dekota against a wall.
There was also evidence that he might have thrown her into her pack and play crib because the mesh from the crib was outlined on her face.
Here are some of the articles I could find...I haven't found any of the new articles about his arrest or if they have arrested him yet. My aunt told me that the autopsy report showed that she was definantly murdered...so only time will tell what will happen next.

:1222423: For Dekota and her family
Welcome Brianne! Hope you enjoy it here, despite the circumstances your family is under.
As much as the site is for helping missing people and cases, we also like to have some fun now and then. You really couldn't ask for a better group of people. And the admins and mods are wonderful (no, they don't pay me to say that... well maybe Roamer  )
Thank you for sharing Dekota's story. What a beautiful baby!!

I just can't imagine hurting a baby. I just skimmed the details of how she was found by her mother and it made me ill.
I hope her brother, who saw her thrown against the wall doesn't have any problems later on. Luckily he is young enough that he might not understand.

No.
I can't imagine it, either. I'm glad the little boy was able to tell them the truth. He should feel very proud of that.

:1187603408.CR.Mothe I am so sorry for Dakota. Rest in Peace little angel.
God Bless that 4 y/o who told the truth.
I'm wondering what is going on with this man.
Was he arrested? Is there a trial?
How is Dakota's mom doing?
I just went back and read the link provided. I cannot believe this man got off on a technicality. What in the world?
Innocent people go to prison while those responsible walk. I will never understand our judicial system. It failed Dakota!

As far as I know, he is out right now. He was released like 3 days later because they only had him on child abuse. They had to send her poor little body to specialist to determine the actual cause of death (as if it wasn't obvious). I'm sure they just wanted to cover all their basis before charging him.
My cousin is doing fine as far as I know. I honestly haven't talked to her. There is alot more to the story that I can't get into on a public bored. She recently had another baby girl. I heard she recently moved to Tennessee.

I know the new baby can't replace Dekota, but she can help fill the hole in your cousin's heart that Dekota left.

<snipped from article provided>
So imagine everyone's surprise when the charges were abruptly dropped two days later by county prosecutor Matt Smith, who cited Arizona's 48-hour time limit for filing a criminal complaint in cutting loose Peralta. A spokesman for the prosecutor's office said Peralta, who had just moved to the area from California, could be charged at a later date once the full investigation is completed. That is, if he decides to hang around.
Mohave County sheriff's officials expressed bewilderment at the decision. The baby's family was outraged. Treating physicians were said to be stunned after observing such obvious signs of blunt trauma and suspected assault on an infant who had only begun to test her wobbly legs.
The office's chief deputy prosecutor, Jace Zack, defended the decision not to formalize charges. He told the News-Herald of Lake Havasu City that the decision not to file a complaint was made in part due to "erroneous medical information that was received initially." Zack added, "There's a lot more testing and investigating that has to be done. That doesn't mean the case is over. If additional evidence is developed, certainly charges can be filed at that time."
Each day of delay only adds to the pain of the family of Dakota Harryman. Her mother, Meagan Minert, hasn't yet been able to hold a funeral for her child because the coroner hasn't released the body.
"They were quick to make sure he got his rights (protected)," Sieker said. "Where are her rights? This guy is out walking the street. Who is looking out for her rights? I'll tell you right now, we need a new county attorney, big time. I'm so angry at the county attorney's office I don't care what I have to do. He needs to go. Somebody who would let someone like this walk doesn't deserve to be in office."

I agree. That guy doesn't deserve to be in office. The baby was the victim here, not the perp.
"If he decides to hang around." Not likely.

Hi Brianne! And welcome. I'm glad that you've found this board. It is an excellent place to find support, respect and laughs when you need a few.
I'm very sad about your precious little cousin. What a beautiful baby. This is such a horrific crime it is difficult to even think about. How terrible for you, Dekota's mother and the rest of your family. And just the fact that the murderer has been free all of this time must magnify the pain many times over.
From now on, you will have friends here to talk to when you need to vent and many of us will be right there with you and your family in calling for justice for Dekota.
