Fell asleep and missed the online talk by the jurors. Did anyone else catch it and could you tell us what they said?

Meanwhile-- Nancy Grace bupkis.
Greta featured weiny and nobody else. Feh!

TODAY this morning-- Joe Flaherty and Weiny...

"Factors of doubt...there was GSR on Rachel's hands (didn't mention the GSR on Lilly's) which meant she had to have shot the gun, handled the gun or been in the room when it was fired."

Yeah...?

The Supreme Court has ruled against Giles! This might give MJ a new trial. I want to quote myself from last night when doj informed us of this travesty: "I'm so mad I could spit nails!"

The Supreme Court ruled against Giles?? Giles was the defendant?? How would that give a new trial to Jensen??

Why is this being litigated?? These were not the first instances of a "message from the grave" being brought into evidence.

Thanks for the link, Terri. They reversed the conviction. Outrageous!!

Kill the witness and then claim you didn't have the chance to cross examine??

Good article with juror comments after the verdict.

http://www.boston.com/news/local/massachusetts/articles/2008/06/26/entwistle_convicted_of_murder/

One juror, a woman who asked that her name not be used, described how the jury reached its verdict. She said they began by examining the defense's theory that Rachel Entwistle shot her baby and then herself. The jury even went so far as to have one member who was about the same height as Rachel Entwistle act out such a murder-suicide.

She said the jury, after weighing ballistic and forensic evidence, concluded that a murder-suicide was not logistically possible. Jurors then considered if anyone else might have committed the crimes. But they were convinced, she said, that "there was no evidence anyone else had been in the house" around the time of the killings on Jan. 20, 2006.

"We tried to look at every aspect and analyze all the evidence that was put before us, because we wanted it to be a fair trial," the juror said. "Nobody came into this thinking automatically that he was guilty. Everybody was in different places at the beginning."

She said that jury was not influenced by one of the prosecution's main points, that Neil Entwistle did not call police after discovering the bodies and instead flew to his parents' house in England.

"Most people say the fact he didn't call 911" made Neil Entwistle seem guilty, she said, "but we looked at it as a cultural difference."

Andrew F. Tringale, an alternate juror, said the defense's argument - that Rachel committed a murder-suicide and Neil did not notify police "because he wouldn't tarnish Rachel's memory" - was unpersuasive.

"Why hadn't they been more blatant about that earlier, if that was a realistic argument?" Tringale said. "Why didn't they call witnesses to substantiate that claim, which itself seemed pretty unrealistic?"

The defense shocked court observers when it did not call a single witness. The prosecution called more than 40 witnesses during the 12-day trial in Middlesex Superior Court.

Tringale said he was comfortable with the conviction.

"I think the prosecution presented their case well, and I think the defense made a really unrealistic argument," he said.

It's not a given, that he'd get a new trial.
I think when the waters calm down a bit, we'll hear that the California case does not have as much impact on the Jensen matter as previously expected.

Morning all:happy0207:This morning on fox news M.McPhee said that the mother did not stand when the jury was excused from the court house and she also didn't stand when the judge came in, she can be held in contempt of court for that but probably won't be charged.I was listening to talk radio last night while in bed and people were outraged at what the mother said, people were calling from all over the states and from England. It was very interesting. most people were very angry at Neil's mother, she wrote that before the verdict came in and also the suicide was not even brought up till the very end of the trial. The other thing was the pros could have stopped the defense when he did his CA but decided to let him hang himself. The victims inpacted statements will be this morning and fox news channel will carry it live.that is channel 25 for me don't know if any of you get that channel it is WFXT.It is also on "myfoxboston.com

Hello friend!
I didn't see you...this board gets going at warp speed all of a sudden, and I miss everyone...

:kissyface4:

hello, belatedly!
Did you sleep well? I had to turn on the a/c -- it's very warm and muggy.

:0012:

I slept ok, but a little groggy when I got up. Had fan on all night, but it's not the same as the central a/c we USED to have at the house. It's ok though, the hot weather will pass.

VERY interesting stuff, GramV. I too thought it interesting that NE's mom READ that idiotic statement. So she had to write it BEFORE the verdict. AND, of COURSE that was a recent accusation (Rachel's the killer)--so until they came up with that nasty bit of excuse for Neil, what was their theory?

I think the parents HURT Neil's chances by insulting the system. If he killed his family in Britain, they would be dealing with it. But he killed them HERE, so that's the system they get.

I can't WAIT to hear what insults the Entwistles come up with this morning. Should be VERY interesting. Maybe they still will charge that woman with contempt after all.

You know who I thought of when I first read WTM's post about Jensen???

Vintage Rose - remember her?? She was the one who knew Jammie's wife and kept feeding her our thoughts and opinions. I just loved her.

oh yes I do, she was a GREAT poster. Wonder where she is? Well I guess there's a chance we'll all meet again at another Jensen trial.

Probably. It sounds like there are going to be a lot of victims impact statements, but they usually go really fast.

I just can't wait to hear what the Entwistles have to say.

This psych on tv? She says she suspects Neil had had many problems in his life and relationships before this one ended in tragedy. I totally agree with her. I bet he has a history of all kinds of unfinished projects of many kinds...and his parents dammmmed well know it.

absolutely, the acts and words of the Entwistles make it Pure T obvious how Neil the family annihilator was built: he can do no wrong, probably in their eyes has never done a thing wrong in his widdle life. If they think they are helping him they ought to rethink that.

I'd love to see his Mom hauled off for contempt. Their son did this deed in the USA. This is the system that judged him. If she doesn't like that, she can go on home and complain there.

AND, I think it is now perfectly apparent why he RAN home to his parents. They are the only ones in the world who would believe his bullchit story.

They have a T.V. in the waiting area and also in a room where you wait after your eyes have been dialated. I had the nurse tune the television to TruTV in the waiting area and right when the jury was coming in they signed off for the day! Talk about being Pizzed. I asked the nurse to change the channel quick to CNN because I just had to watch the verdict for this trial. She said - oh another trial watcher addict huh? Told me her mother doesn't have a real life because she is addicted too.:67302: Well, as I watched I could not believe this family. Do they not show any emotion at all? The dad looks like a pompous ass and the mother is totally out there. Well, I'm in today for the sentencing and I think it will be an interesting watch. They should but I bet they won't. They seem to be the classier people taking as high a road as they possibly can.

And NE's parents aren't helping themselves or Neil with their behavior or words.

Maybe they ought to rethink this strategy. How's it been working so far for Neil? They must have excused every "mistake" he ever made and blamed others for his myriad problems. Look how that has TURNED OUT, ENTWISTLES!!!!!! :madranting94dp:
