I'm so glad you posted this. I've been following this story all morning. How sad, they were out looking for a Xmas tree, and this happens.
Fox News is having an interview with the mom at the top of the hour.

:1222423:Thanks for starting this thread. I was looking earlier to see if any one had started one yet. I hope they find this family soon. For some reason this brings back emories from last year of the family who left for the holidays and took a detour the mother and child was found eventually but the dad had decided to walk for help and when they finally found him he was no longer with us.

The mom was just interviewed. The children have two cell phones with them, but calls to them are going to voice mail.
Another storm is headed for the region this afternoon.
I hope the authorities can follow the cell phone pings.

Seach for family continues: Father, three children missing in high countryDec 18:
2:20 p.m.: Paradise family still missing in high country - VIDEOINSKIP — About 100 search and rescue team members, from all over the north state, were out at dawn this morning looking for a Paradise man and his three children, who have not been seen since Sunday afternoon.
Reportedly Frederick Dominguez, 38, his son Chris, 18, daughter Alexis, 15, and 12-year-old son Josh, failed to return from a trip to the Philbrook area about 3 p.m. Sunday to cut down a Christmas tree.
Butte County sheriff's officials report, because of the treacherous conditions in the search area, only trained search and rescue team members will be allowed to take part in the effort.
Authorities planned to establish a road block above Stirling City to turn back any unauthorized individuals from going to the area where the search is taking place.

police to report them as missing and endangered.
Sams said she believed they all had coats on, but weren't dressed for extremely cold or wet weather. She said her son Chris is an experienced camper, and is familiar with basic survival skills.
At about 9:50 p.m. Monday, searchers discovered the Dominguez vehicle on the Skyway, just a mile north of Inskip.
It was described as a distinctive raised, yellow Chevrolet Silverado that a lot of people around Paradise would recognize.
