Ofcourse I am. My favorite is the Texan guy Gabe, next would be the girl with the big voice (sorry I don't recall her name), but she has a strong beautiful voice!
Jewel is one of the judges and as much as I like her since she's only been singing coutry for a short time I don't appreciate her as a judge all that much.:shrug1:

I watch this after recording it.....agree about Gabe.

I felt bad for the 2 young girls who were voted off. They weren't that bad, but Jewel and John Rich have been downright mean to them every week. John wouldn't even critique them this week because he thought one rolled her eyes at Jewel, and Jewel sounded like she wanted to instigate a cat fight about it.

I watched this show in the past when it was on another network, and honestly, the talent pool is not as good this year as previous times. Why is Coffey still there? He is not good!

Yes, Gabe is a natural, he just needs to get more stage presence. He's more like old country right now. Once he realizes what a gift he has - watch out! He could get signed today.
Also the plus size girl (wish I knew her name), is awesome - what a belting voice she has.

I totally agree about Coffey and he really never sound country, I think he's from Texas, but doesn't sound like it. I agree with one of the judges he is more suited for American Idol. Not that he would go far there.

About these judges, they are very harsh. They need to allow these contestants to get use to the stage, etc. They call every flaw and some things that aren't even flaws. I have found John Rich to be brutal. And then Jewel, she's only been singing country for what a year? And Jeff, I can't complain about becuz he's so durn cute!

I'm not a country music fan (except that I DO love Dwight Yoakam). Several months ago my granddaughter and I were home together on a Friday night and caught a couple of episodes of a celebrity reality show that John Rich did. It had Bobby Brown, Enrique Iglesias, Carnie Wilson that I can remember. Don't know what ever happened with it.

John is so crude and off-color sometimes, but what can you expect, I guess, for someone who wrote Save a Horse! He doesn't offend me but I know a lot of kids watch the show.

Just caught the final show, they were all so good. Melissa Lawson from Arlington, TX, won. She has the Martina McBride sound and vocals. Also she has 5 sons.

Gabe was good, think some of us die hard country fans are tired of the hats and imitations of other artist, these new guys are bringing into country music today.

Shawn was good, but, her style of dress, that is not country. IMO

I'm glad Melissa won...love her voice and her spirit.

Being a life time Texan, really don't see many men here dressing like that, unless they are going dancing or to the rodeoo.

When George Strait hit the big times back in the 80's, everywhere you went you saw men dressed in western attire. Just not that common anymore. Too, I live in hickville, this is where you should see a lot of men dressed that way, but don't.

I'll have to tell my nephews that, they live in Dallas Fort Worth and are home builders, they dress cowboy.....
I haven't lived there since the early 90's, so I'm probably off.
I still love Gabe's look.
