Just heard on the Today show - Jamie Lynn Spears, Brittany's 16 year old sister, is pregnant. I thought she was the sensible one.

I agree about thinking she was the sensible one.

There are no smart kids in that family . I just hope she isn't looking to her sister as a role model. I don't think the girl understands that at 16 she is going to miss out on her teen years and doesn't have the money to throw around like her sister to get the child off her hands when she wants to do teen things or get bored playing mommy. She is 16 living with her 18 year old boyfriend. Not sure what this will do for her career, she is on the Disney Channel isn't she? Not a great role model for the preteens that follow that show.

She's on Nickelodeon - not good at all. She says she is going home to Louisiana to raise the baby. Did you guys know her mother was writing a book on raising kids? The book has been put on hold. I would hope so. :rolleye0001:

:girl_haha:
I should hope so! If she can't get it right twice, who the hell is going to invest in a book on raising kids.
Sorry, but Britney is her role model.
Why is her mother allowing her to live with her bf at the young age of 16? She has her whole life ahead of her!
Is Jamie Lynn emancipated?
I just don't get it! :faintTHUD:
Just hearing this now. She is 12 weeks pregnant, met her beau in high school, he is 19, she just turned 16 in April. Mother book is on hold indefinately. Britney just heard and claims to be shocked, this is my baby sister. She never broke curfew, stated Britney.

My son watches her show........I had to sit him down last night and tell him that being a parent at age 16 and her 18/19 year old B/F will NOT be an easy thing.
He tells me, 'she stars in that show so I'm sure she'll hire help to raise the kid"
:thud2:
this is so not cool when you yourself are trying to raise teens.

it was quoted that Jamie Lynn and her boyfriend met in Church. Why was this young girl LIVING with an older guy? I don't understand this either, LLL.

The only other child left at home, I believe, is a younger brother. At least he can't get pregnant. However, he can get a girl pregnant in the future. Never mind, the whole family is dysfunctional and not very smart. IMHBO

Oh my goodness.... How old is your son?! That was a hilarious response, but it's one of those "I really want to laugh, but I know I can't" kind of things. My 12 yr old son gives me LOTS of those moments....

YIKES! that would be an akward situation. Kids never miss a thing and if they keep her on the show......well lots of kids might get the wrong impression.

LOL!
"Mom? Why does that girl have a bump?"
out of the mouth of babes.
Just like my "Funny Christmas story" where somebody carved a tree to resemble a lady.
When my son was in 1st grade, "Mom? why does that tree have 2 bumps?"

That's okay,my son doesn't understand how girls can go pee, because they don't have a peepee.:serious: So anytime I say"be right back, have to go to the bathroom" he asks me "how can you go to the bathroom with no peepee?"
