Just started reading "The Broken Window".

It's a Lincoln Rhyme & Amelia Sachs book.

Anyone else a Jeffrey Deaver fan?

Me! Me! I love Lincoln and Amelia, is this his new one? Got to hurry and get on the library list. Totally amazing writer. My favorite is the Coffin Dancer and Bone Collector. I could start reading his whole collection again and still be amazed.

I just finished the Nanny Diaries, needed a change from the crime, quite a funny almost voyeristic story of the upper silver spooned crowd.

Enjoy

Have you checked out his website? The trivia game is fun. They have a forum as well, lots of good author recommendations and updates.

I really enjoyed a collection of his short stories, Twisted. Each story had a surprise or twist, some with a little gallows humor as I recall.

I went to my library web site to reserve the 2 books you liked and saw that Bone Collector was already a movie with Denzel Washington playing Lincoln and Angelina Jolie as Amelia ! I had seen it already so I'm skipping that book. Then I turned on the TV and it's on right now. What a coincidence.

Just reading it now and having trouble understanding why the bad guy didn't break in when she was away and steal the painting. Why confront, murder and go to all the trouble of framing another?

That very thing was mentioned regarding someone else.

PatC that is the book ^^
in it the bad guy commits many crimes and then goes to enormous trouble and takes numerous risks to plant evidence in the home or auto of someone else who will be convicted.
He is confronted and kills the tenant in one case. Why didn't he wait until he was sure she was at work?
