Police are asking for the public’s help finding a 20-year-old woman missing since June 16.

Shanell Patterson left her grandmother’s home on Pitchkettle Road to go for a walk, but didn’t return, according to a police news release. Patterson was reported missing on July 4.

Patterson weighs 100 pounds and is 4-feet, 11 inches tall with brown eyes, black hair in braids, police wrote in the release. She was wearing blue jeans, a blue Washington Wizards jersey and cap and black Fila sneakers.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to call Detective Timothy Cooper at (757) 514-7945 or Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.

Hey I've checked to see if you've got on here at all anymore,but I guess not.But the Police and everybody are looking for you and doing a Nation Wide Search for you boo.I pray to GOD that you will be found soon.Your sister wanted to know more information and me and my mother emailed her and gave her what ever information that we have in reference to the Police Statements.I Love You and hope that you be back here soon so we can work on a relationship together.

SUFFOLK - Shanell PattersonA Suffolk woman who had been missing for almost four weeks has been located and is safe.

Shanell Patterson, 20, had not been seen since she left her grandmother's home on Pitchkettle Road on June 16 saying she was going for a walk. Her grandmother eventually reported her missing, and police asked for the public's assistance.

Debbie George, a spokeswoman for the City of Suffolk, said said Patterson was located over the weekend and is safe. George declined to provide details because it was "a domestic situation."
